Silent Night (LIVE) - Keith & Kristyn Getty feat. Phil Keaggy

for KING + COUNTRY - Silent Night

The good news of great joy changed the course of every silent night to come. Because we don’t have a God who merely pierces our darkness. We have a Savior who lingers beside us on our long silent nights (Isaiah 9:2-7). The prophets foretold it (Isaiah 7:14). The angel repeated it. And His name confirms it (Matthew 1:23). God is with us.

Carrie Underwood & Michael W Smith Sing "All Is Well"

God is Emmanuel. God is beside us and promises never to leave (Heb. 13:5). He promises that His grace will be sufficient (2 Cor. 12:9). He promises to supply all our needs (Phil. 4:19). And He promises us the amazing gift of eternal life (John 10:27-28).

Passion - O Come All Ye Faithful (His Name Shall Be) ft. Melodie Malone

The invitation to all is just to ‘come and adore …’ The repetition of this one line builds emphasis and a persuasion to forget what is holding us back, to let go of all else that might be occupying our minds, and to just ‘come.’ To take a step from one place to another, whether physically or spiritually, where we can simply ‘adore Christ the Lord.’ Keith Getty

King of Kings | Hillsong Worship

“Adoration is finding a pulse behind the Word and then saying that Word back to Him in our dialect. Adoration is asking Him to wrap His fingers around our dull hearts and to slowly revive them. It’s admitting, ‘I barely know You, God.’ There are 1,440 minutes in a day. How many of them have I spent replaying old thoughts, reliving conversations, fretting over what was never mine to hold, and then at the end of it all, wondering where He was? How many of those minutes have I lived independent of Him, waiting for the next big moment of faith? Adoration invites God into the grit of my life that irritates and exposes, the grit about which He already knows. Adoration is meeting God in the invisible, unaccounted-for minutes I ignore.” Sara Hagerty

“The first great and primary business to which I ought to attend every day was, to have my soul happy in the Lord. The first thing to be concerned about was not, how much I might serve the Lord, how I might glorify the Lord; but how I might get my soul into a happy state, and how my inner man might be nourished. For I might seek to set the truth before the unconverted, I might seek to benefit believers, I might seek to relieve the distressed, I might in other ways seek to behave myself as it becomes a child of God in this world; and yet, not being happy in the Lord, and not being nourished and strengthened in my inner man day by day, all this might not be attended to in a right spirit." John 3

Isaiah 62:3-5

For now, tears remain. We face death, battle remaining sin, endure mourning and crying, persevere in pain. Yet he promises, to his church, to “wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore” (Revelation 21:4). And this when we hear a loud voice from the throne saying, Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God (Revelation 21:3). And so we, his church, will receive the fulfillment of Scripture’s great, long-running promise: He will be our God, and we will be his people. He has pledged himself to us. We will have him. We will know him. We will enjoy him. We will dwell with him, forever. His church is the people he has chosen to be among for eternity.” David Mathis

1 Peter 2:11

“The Christian life oscillates between these two poles: the overflowing joy of the “already” redeemed and the tearful yearning of the “not-yet” redeemed. Not that we ever leave the one or the other in this life. We are “sorrowful, yet always rejoicing” (as in 2 Corinthians 6:10). It is good to have Christmas carols that capture both dimensions of life.” John Piper

Psalm 63:1-3

“On this side of eternity, Christmas is still a promise. Yes, the Savior has come, and with him peace on earth, but the story is not finished. Yes, there is peace in our hearts, but we long for peace in our world. Every Christmas is still a “turning of the page” until Jesus returns. Every December 25 marks another year that draws us closer to the fulfillment of the ages, that draws us closer to… home. When we realize that Jesus is the answer to our deepest longing, even Christmas longings, each Advent brings us closer to his glorious return to earth.” Nancy Guthrie

Welcome to Behold! A daily podcast from Kiokee Baptist Church for the Christmas season. This podcast is a supplement to Pastor Steve’s sermon series by the same name. Each week Steve will be looking at the theology of the Christmas story in some of our favorite Christmas carols.

This podcast will continue the theme of Sunday with a new carol each day.

Join us on this season-long journey as we celebrate the birth of Christ. As you stop and consider the Truth of God’s word and the messages of these carols our prayer is that you will respond in worship to the One of whom the angels sang. Jesus Christ, the Savior of the World.

This is the trailer for the first season of the KBC Podcast, a series of Advent meditations we're calling "God With Us."

Each day we’ll look at a passage from God’s Word as well as a notable Christmas carol. Links to each passage and song will be available in the show notes.

Advent means “coming.” During this season followers of Jesus are encouraged to rediscover the sense of longing and anticipation experienced by our Hebrew forefathers as they awaited the coming of the promised Messiah.

Join us on this month-long journey as we remember the promises of God, connect to the yearning for His appearance, celebrate His birth, and look forward to His return. Christ is coming. Christ Has Come. Christ will come again. Our prayer is that these passages and lyrics will help you experience anew Emmanuel, God with us!
