Forgetting David

"Let's live from a place of hope and healing instead of hurt and bitterness."The title, 'Forgetting David', came from a joke between my wife and me. Things hadn't been going too well, no matter how hard I tried. Obstacles and setbacks were coming at me like a freight train. I'm a fighter and pride myself on perseverance. This year's baggage became too much and I was humbled. I cannot do it all, even though I want to. When Katie and I were talking, I said, I am sick of 'David'. I don't want to be him anymore. I am now 'Dave', 'Dave Burke'. We laughed hard! I took that joke and realized I have been trying to forget my story - my whole life. This isn't good, I thought. A spark went off in my heart and a new beginning was hatched. We live in a hurting world and I am exhausted from seeing, feeling, and inflicting pain on others. That is not who I am at my core. I want to use this podcast as a way to reach out and have conversations about transformation. A transformation that leads to the restoration of who you are meant to be.
