I know that when I'm feeling down and kinda crappy, I think that the best solution is for me to do more. Doing more does not necessarily mean that you'll get better results. When we do less, we allow the space for more of what we love most. This is your reminder to give yourself some grace, and allow some space for abundance.

Your goals are her goals!  Jodie's mission is to provide triathletes and aspiring triathletes with custom training plans, full accountability and one-on-one support to feel empowered and achieve their personal best.

In today's episode, we talk all about the importance of team sports, being the leader that you look for, finding our similarities instead of our differences, the importance of mental health, and much, much more!

Today's episode really dives into how social media has impacted me and how I sometimes struggle with being my authentic self. As important as it is in this world, showing up authentically will make others uncomfortable. That's a fact. But, I  encourage you to stand in your truth, and be open to connecting with people who don't agree with you... it's the only way we'll grow! Tune into today's episode!

Today's episode is a bit different than what I usually put out there. This one is all about entrepreneurship. The lessons we learn in our training apply to all areas of our lives.

Brandon's entrance into the world of entrepreneurship began in 2004 with the start of his first business, a small web design company that combined my two passions of design and technology. He successfully grew that first business for 10 years expanding to a global client base and hiring staff. During that period Brandon spent a lot of time giving back to the community in the form of supporting other businesses and entrepreneurs young and old. That led to a partnership with two friends to establish Chatham’s first coworking space and business incubator, which we formed as a not-for-profit in 2011.

At the beginning of 2020 Brandon began an expansion of The Foundry at 64 Hurontario which was abruptly put on hold when the pandemic hit. With one business temporarily closed he shifted his attention to how he could support other local businesses that were experiencing the same. Leveraging his technology background, Brandon built a community portal called Collingwood Commons that helped businesses quickly establish an ecommerce presence. Brandon ran this platform free for everyone for nearly two years during the pandemic before retiring it this year. It contributed to the revenue of many businesses who hadn’t yet taken their business online.

In today's episode, we talk all about the emotional and mental toll of pursuit of a dream, the myth of failure, pivoting when things don't go according to plan, our personal heroes, and much more. Tune into today's episode!

I had a completely different idea for the podcast today, but I started talking about the importane of patience and I thought it deserved it's own episode! We often want to push ourselves past our limits when it comes to our training, but I'm here to remind you to have a bit of patience in your training. Saying "no" to something today means that you're setting yourself up for what you want in the future. Tune into today's episode.

Today's episode is a bit different from the regular Endurance Life episodes. My partner in life, Shirlee Williams, will be interviewing me today. We thought it would be a cool idea to have someone who knows me very well ask me the questions instead of me having to drive the episode myself. In today's conversation, we talk all about why I decided to participate in a 100 mile run,  the value of sitting with the results, and what happens when things don't go as planned. I have a big milestone race coming up this weekend and I really am feeling a ton of emotions surrounding it. I feel excited, prepared, anxious... but mostly I am just ready to see what awaits on the other side. I always say that I am striving to be better, not the best. That means that there is always room to improve. Can't wait to see you on the other side of my big race!

We all have our reasons for pushing ourselves when it comes to racing, but I think one of the biggest goals, for me at least, is becoming the absolute best version of myself. Racing becomes less of something I "do" and it really is who I am. Making these positive changes in your life will translate to every aspect of your life. Not sure what I mean?
