The first series talks about a certain content management system that powers websites called Drupal. For the past 10 years, millions of government agencies, nonprofits, universities, associations, and companies have used Drupal to power their website. But, soon, this software will retire and organizations need to adapt to the changes. They need to be agile.

So, we know the move to Drupal 8 or 9 is going to be expensive. We know it’ll be time consuming. But what about some of the benefits of migrating? On today’s episode, Blake and Brie talk about ways to improve your site through a migration, and some things to look out for along the way.
Drupal 8 and 9 are very different from Drupal 7. So, migrating out of D7 is going to be more expensive and take longer than previous migrations. And it’s important to have an idea of how much money and how much longer the move will take, because you could get stuck in the middle of a migration without the resources to finish the job. So, on today’s episode, Brie and Blake talk about how to estimate the time and money it’ll take to migrate out of Drupal 7.
