Parenting does not come with a handbook, whether you are a single mom or a single dad it is not easy. It can be quite stressful for the parent and child. Children raised by single parents can be just as happy and mentally healthy as children living with two biological parents. Whether a child has one parent or more, children do well when they have parenting that’s nurturing, warm, sensitive, responsive and flexible. Hello Listeners! Emotional and mental abuse is the use of threats, verbal insults, and non verbal language tactics +to control a person’s way of thinking. If you are thinking you have not been a victim of this type of abuse you probably have. This form of abuse is especially disturbing because it is designed to destroy self-esteem and confidence and undermine a personal sense of reality or competence. Were you ever told that there’s a difference in emotional intimacy and sexual intimacy? If you figured it out early in your life, you're fortunate. The majority of us spend most of our lives without ever realizing that there is a difference. We sacrifice our emotional selves, trying to connect in relationships based on what we can sexually provide. We experience hurt, pain, and many unhealthy relationships. Until we realize something is missing, and that something is emotional intimacy.
