Let's pretend it's the beginning of February and this pod was ready on time. It's grammy sunday and two dumbasses convened to talk about get well soon starring Vincent gallo. You sit down with a cup of tea next to your fireplace, you put on your beats headphones, and press play on this new ep. Time stands still. You alternatively laugh and get sick to your stomach, often in the same moment. Why do they keep doing this? Recording podcast after podcast for an audience of maybe--twelve people? They do it because they have to. There's no way out.

Movies are dead? More like movies are revolting huh? They'll make movies about these days. What happened to good, clean fun? Why is everything marketing now? Why am I always being sold something by someone or something that pretends to care about me? Anyway, does anyone know if taking those construction orange plastic cones home is illegal? They're just out there. What if you were to take them home and collect them?
Dedicate a whole room in your house to all the different cones you have come across? Would that be wrong? Would that be weird? Would it be interesting if you leaned in close to your barista and whispered into her ear: "I have a collection of orange and yellow safety cones in my house. I have over seventy of them now." Wouldn't she enjoy learning that about you? Maybe admire your dedication and discerning eye? And then maybe fall in love? Potentially? Possibly?

Listeners, you may wonder who writes these little episode descriptions and I feel like I should introduced myself. I am Klaus Androwjski, the (under-appreciated) producer of this here podcast. I had to take a little sabbatical from my position here as the two hosts had become so overbearing and borderline abusive that I needed a little break. They lured me back with promises of fame and fortune which have so been completely unfulfilled. So. Hooray for me. Anyway. oooooh they go off on a tangent or two on this one, get lost in the weeds, is that the right expression? But the main focus is on Karyn Kusama's Destroyer which these two knuckleheads think is under-appreciated so, yeah. If you like listening to a couple of mellow dudes talk film then this is the episode for you!

Regardless, the boys have gathered to discuss Maurice Pialat's first film L’enfance nue, a lost-youth film, a portrait of François, a foster child in late sixties France. It gets a bit hairy, the claws come out in this one, a lot of repressed anger to be dealt with.
It's a mellow discussion of Fellini's unappreciated and under seen 1955 movie Il Bidone! Richard Basehart fans get in here!
