I don't know about this one. Some eps are meant to stay in the vault. but we do have a contract. Close your eyes and open your ears. Let's pretend it's the beginning of February and this pod was ready on time. It's grammy sunday and two dumbasses convened to talk about get well soon starring Vincent gallo. You sit down with a cup of tea next to your fireplace, you put on your beats headphones, and press play on this new ep. Time stands still. You alternatively laugh and get sick to your stomach, often in the same moment. Why do they keep doing this? Recording podcast after podcast for an audience of maybe--twelve people? They do it because they have to. There's no way out.

Movies are dead? More like movies are revolting huh? They'll make movies about these days. What happened to good, clean fun? Why is everything marketing now? Why am I always being sold something by someone or something that pretends to care about me? Anyway, does anyone know if taking those construction orange plastic cones home is illegal? They're just out there. What if you were to take them home and collect them?

Dedicate a whole room in your house to all the different cones you have come across? Would that be wrong? Would that be weird? Would it be interesting if you leaned in close to your barista and whispered into her ear: "I have a collection of orange and yellow safety cones in my house. I have over seventy of them now." Wouldn't she enjoy learning that about you? Maybe admire your dedication and discerning eye? And then maybe fall in love? Potentially? Possibly?

Superbad is a film from 2007 directed by Greg Mottola and staring michael cera and jonah hill. It is discussed in this episode of this podcast. listen to molly nilsson

Once banned, now finally back on your favorite podcast service again, because you love listening to podcasts while you make dinner, or you go on a run, or you sit and stare out the window and watch life pass you by so you listen to these two dudes talk about movies but they don't really know much about movies but they love movies and the tension between that is unbearable.

And before you know it the sun has gone down and the podcast is over but don't worry there's more episodes to listen to, enough episodes to listen to until the sun explodes and the universe collapses in on itself and

They talk a little bit about Woody Allen's sleeper then descend into a bitter screed against their former classmates and the state of filmmaking at large. They really had a bug up their butt in this one, they're losing it probably.

Lars "Mars Bars" Von Trier is on the loose again. If seen in public please report him to the nearest cop or if no police officer is available, attempt to make a citizen's arrest. If he is left to roam free, he will try to make more films. Please be aware, he is armed, out of control and is a danger to cinema at large. Alternately, listen to these two knuckleheads discuss the house that jack built, an ignominious signpost of so called "art" cinema. Well maybe movies really are dead but maybe everything that dies, someday comes back. So put your makeup on, fix your hair up and meet us at a podcast listening app near you.

You can tell it was recorded on a weekday because our two hosts sound physically and spiritually exhausted. But well that's what the forty plus hour work week does to you. All the days seem too similar and they go by too fast. How does anyone keep going? ....... Movies, of course! And music and art and tv and drugs and alcohol and empty distractions that never really seem to be that distracting ultimately. But anyway, let's continue onward just because...why not

Listeners, you may wonder who writes these little episode descriptions and I feel like I should introduced myself. I am Klaus Androwjski, the (under-appreciated) producer of this here podcast. I had to take a little sabbatical from my position here as the two hosts had become so overbearing and borderline abusive that I needed a little break. They lured me back with promises of fame and fortune which have so been completely unfulfilled. So. Hooray for me. Anyway. Halloween is approaching and here is the first spooky episode that will be released over the next twelve or whatever days that will get you prepared for the third best holiday of the year.

Everybody has been asking for it and now here it is: A discussion of the The Searchers by John Ford. Opinions you should listen to because they're good and insightful. So there. There it is. Please, please listen.

love, is it real? Some people think so. Is this a movie about people in love? Sort of. Things are confusing these days. But nicky and boriss are trying to figure it out. They love Cassavetes but if they were honest with themselves, they could finally admit that John cassavetes would have loathed both of them for being corporate sellouts. A lot of dreaming, not a lot of doing. And that's just not the Cassavetes way. They still love him though and grovel at ol johnny's altar every day of the dead. but Anyway listen here to the two of them discuss this seminal 1971 film and some other things along the way. Enjoy, huh!

Please listen, if we don't get better ratings they're gonna send their money collectors after us, they're gonna break our legs and then take our cars, and then and then our homes! These two knuckleheads get even more mellow, can you believe it? They chill out while discussing Valley Girl, throwing ideas back and forth, conversing about the meaning of Cage, the Valley, the 80s and so on. Tune in and drop out, right? Oops wrong decade but y'know it kinda does apply to our modern mores, doesn't it?

View Details

oooooh they go off on a tangent or two on this one, get lost in the weeds, is that the right expression? But the main focus is on Karyn Kusama's Destroyer which these two knuckleheads think is under-appreciated so, yeah. If you like listening to a couple of mellow dudes talk film then this is the episode for you!

They talk about the .......Matrix! Which they love but they get off track for a bit and start to sound like crotchety old men before bringing it back to the topic at hand which is, of course, how great The Matrix is. But they cover a lot of ground here and most of it is interesting so enjoy, listen and recommend.

here we are again. the pool liner still hasn't been fixed, not due to lack of trying but maybe fate or karma has gotten in the way. Regardless, the boys have gathered to discuss Maurice Pialat's first film L’enfance nue, a lost-youth film, a portrait of François, a foster child in late sixties France. It gets a bit hairy, the claws come out in this one, a lot of repressed anger to be dealt with.
