The mission of my show is to create a peaceful, safe, and understanding environment to shed light on our individual truths in a harmonious way. The inspiration for this show came to me in light of the current civil rights movements which has made it clear that as college students we share common goals, however, we still differ in our perspectives. By joining me we will both gain comprehension, appreciation, and understanding of our intricate details that make for a greater whole. It is my greatest honor to welcome you to my show :)

On this episode of the melting pot podcast my trilling friend David who everyone knows and loves concludes my first season of the podcast. In this episode we get into the hippie vibes with conversations that are deeper than atlantis, philosopical, exsistential, spiritual, and a little bit contraversial LOL! We talk about literally everything with the conclusion that we basically talked about nothing. In this episode you will get to hear david share his beautiful mind, captivating vocab, and deep thoughts on how he feels about the world. And oh yea we gave him a new name-HIPPIE DAVE! I think it suits him nicely. :)

Join my co-host and I on a deep discussion on the interworkings of rascism, colorism, and immigration in America. As a lightskin woman myself discussing colorism with a dark skin beauty, we experience racism and colorism on opposite sides of the same coin. In this episode I get an inside look on the dark skin women perspective as it compares to mine and try to reach an understanding of how other black women navigate their reality. This conversation shifted me into an uncomfortable position because I was foreced to take accountabilty for my light skin privilege and how that benefits me. We also dove deep into the history of black mental health and how generational trauma still lingers in the black community. We discussed how it is our responsibility as a people to work and heal the wounds inflicted on us many generations ago so we can move past the "slave mentality"
