- Praying upon the deceased (salaatul janaza):
It has four takbeerat -
a. After the first takbeera, Suratul Faatiha is recited.
b. After the second takbeera, salaat is made upon the Prophet ﷺ
c. After the third takbeera, du'aa is made upon the deceased.
اللهُـمِّ اغْفِـرْ لِحَيِّـنا وَمَيِّتِـنا، وَشـاهِدِنا وَغائِبِـنا، وَصَغيـرِنا وَكَبيـرِنا، وَذَكَـرِنا وَأُنْثـانا
اللهُـمِّ مَنْ أَحْيَيْـتَهُ مِنّا فَأَحْيِـهِ عَلى الإِسْلام، وَمَنْ تَوَفَّـيْتَهُ مِنّا فَتَوَفَّـهُ عَلى الإِيـمان،
اللهُـمِّ لا تَحْـرِمْنـا أَجْـرَه ، وَلا تُضِـلَّنا بَعْـدَه.
O Allah, forgive our living and our dead, those who are present among us and those who are absent, young and old, males and females. O Allah, whoever you keep alive, keep them alive upon Islam, and whoever you cause to die, cause them to die upon Imaan. O Allah do not deprive us of his reward and do not misguide us after him. [Abu Dawud – Sahih]
اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ وَارْحَمْهُ وَعَافِهِ وَاعْفُ عَنْهُ، وَأَكْرِمْ نُزُلَهُ وَوَسِّعْ مُدْخَلَهُ، وَاغْسِلْهُ بِالْمَاءِ وَالثَّلْجِ وَالْبَرَدِ، وَنَقَّه مِنَ الذُّنُوبِ والـخَطَايَا كَمَا يُنَقَّى الثَّوْبُ الْأَبْيَضُ مِنَ الدَّنَسِ، وَأَبْدِلْهُ دَارًا خَيْـرًا مِنْ دَارِهِ وَأَهْلًا خَيْـرًا مِنْ أَهْلِهِ، وَأدْخِلْهُ الْـجنَّةَ وَأَعِذْهُ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْـرِ وَمِنْ عَذَابِ النَّارِ.
O Allah forgive him and have mercy on him, keep him safe and sound and pardon him, honor the place where he settles and make his entrance spacious; wash him with water, snow and hail, and cleanse him of sins as a white garment is cleansed of dirt. O Allah give him a house better than his house and a family better than his family. O Allah admit him to Paradise and protect him from the torment of the grave and the torment of the Hellfire. [Muslim]
وَافْسَـحْ لَهُ في قَبْـرِهِ وَنَـوِّرْ لَهُ فيه
Make his grave spacious and fill it with light. [Muslim]

Lesson 86 - Funeral rites (Part 5)
- Shrouding the deceased:
The one who dies in a state of ihraam is shrouded in their ihraam.
The deceased boy is shrouded with a single sheet, up to three sheets, while the deceased girl is shrouded with a shirt and two sheets.
- Those with the most right to wash, shroud and bury the deceased:
For men: Those they specify in their will, then their closest male relatives.
For women: Those they specify in their will, then their closest female relatives.
The husband has the right to wash his deceased wife, and the wife has the right to wash her deceased husband.

Some people avoid the permissible good things to preserve their health, but do not avoid major sins to preserve their bodies from the Hellfire!

Good character has a comprehensive meaning. It includes good character with Allah, His Messenger ﷺ and with other people.
Although the disbelievers may have good character towards other people, they in fact have the worst character because of their disbelief in Allah!
Observing good character is an act of worship and should be done exclusively for the sake of Allah.

- What is held with the intention of selling (stock).
The nisaab(threshold) for each of the four categories, and the amount that must be paid once the threshold has been reached.

The invalidators do not invalidate the fast unless three conditions are met:
- They have knowledge that it invalidates.

Things which do not invalidate the fast: Eye and ear drops, medicines applied to wounds, tasting food without swallowing, smelling perfume, rinsing mouth and nose with water and using the miswaak.
It is permissible to cool yourself with water if you are fasting.

Lesson 44 - The conditions of salaah (prayer)- Part 1
The salaah is the greatest pillar of Islam after the shahadatayn. Whoever preserves their salaah has preserved their deen and whoever neglects it, has neglected their deen.
The shuroot(conditions) of salaah are mentioned before the arkaan (pillars) and wajibaat(obligations) because they must be present before the prayer in order for the prayer itself to be correct.
Definition of a condition: When it is non-existent it necessitates non-existence, but when it is existent, it does not necessitate existence. For example, the non-existence of wudunecessitates the non-exitance of the prayer, but the existence of wududoes not necessitate the existence of prayer (i.e. you don't always need to be praying if you have wudu, but without wudu you cannot pray).

Lesson 35 - The categories of shirk- Part 3
From the matters which should necessitate fear of falling into shirkis that the Prophet ﷺ considered shirk being more subtle than the footsteps of an ant.
Also from the matters which should necessitate fear of falling into shirkis that the Prophet ﷺ feared showing off in worship (a form of minor shirk) more than he feared upon his Ummah the great fitnah of the Dajaal.
Taking photos and videos on a smartphone of acts of worship has greatly facilitated showing off in worship, and can be considered as a great fitnah.
The Prophet ﷺ taught his Ummah a du'aa to protect them from all forms of shirk:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أُشْرِكَ بِكَ وَأَنَا أَعْلَمُ، وَأَسْتَغْفِرُكَ لِمَا لا أَعْلَمُ
O Allah! I seek refuge in you lest I associate anything with you knowingly, and I seek your forgiveness for what I do not know. [Bukhari - al-Adab al-Mufrad - Sahih]

From the matters which should necessitate fear of falling into shirkis that despite Allah's great Mercy, the one who dies upon shirk has no hope or share in this mercy and the Hellfire will be their abode for eternity.
Their punishment in the Hellfire will start in their graves. They will wish they could return to this world to worship Allah upon tawheed, or that they would die to be relieved from the severe punishment. They will only receive an increase in punishment.

Lesson 33 - The categories of shirk - Part 1
Shirk can be divided into major shirk, minor shirk and hidden shirk.
Another categorisation is by its opposite category of tawheed. That is shirk in Ruboobiyah, shirk in Uloohiyya and shirk in Asmaa' was-Sifaat.
Major shirk is to make other than Allah equal to Allah in one or more of Allah's specific rights (e.g. worship). It removes a person from Islam, and their abode in the Hellfire will be eternal.
The fear of falling into shirk should be greater than any other fear we may have. It should drive us to take the means (asbaab) by which to avoid and be saved from it.

Lesson 21 - The Pillars of Imaan (Part 8):
The third pillar of Imaan - Belief in the Revealed Books.
To have general belief in the books which have not been mentioned and specific belief in those which have been mentioned.
To believe that all the Revealed Books were established upon tawheed.
To believe that they were all revealed by Allah to the Messengers.
To believe that the Quran is the final revelation and that it abrogates all the other Revealed Books.

Belief in Allah's Uloohiyya whichis to believe that Allah alone has the right be worshipped.
This was the category of tawheedwhich all the Messengers called to.
All acts of worship (big or small) should exclusively be for the sake of Allah. Anything which is not directed to Allah is shirk, even if it was directed to the most noble of humans (Muhammad ﷺ) or to the most noble of angels (Jibreel)!

The first pillar of Imaan - Belief in Allah.
Belief in Allah's Names and Attributes (al-Asmaa wal-Sifaat)is to believe that Allah alone has the Beautiful Names and Lofty Attributes.
We believe in these attributes without
- Asking how they are (takyeef).
- Resembling them to the creation (tamtheel).
- Distorting their meaning (tahreef).
- Denying them (ta'teel).
Disbelief in just one of Allah's Names or Attributes removes a person from the fold of Islam

Belief in Allah consists of three main pillars - Belief in the Oneness of Allah in His Lordship (Ruboobiyya), Worship (Uloohiyya) and His Names & Attributes (al-Asmaa wal-Sifaat).

Lesson 15 - The Pillars of Imaan (Part 2):
That all the Messengers which Allah sent to the people called to these pillars (in other words the aqeedah of all the Messengers was the same).
That belief in one pillar necessitates belief in the remainder of the pillars. Similarly, disbelief in one pillar necessitates disbelief in all of them and the subsequent removal of a person from the fold of Islam.
The more a person reads, understands and ponders over the Quran and Sunnah, the more their belief in these pillars will be.

Lesson 14 - The Pillars of Imaan (Part 1):
That the source of all goodness, and the aversion of all harm in this world and in the Hereafter is a result of having the correct Imaan.
That Imaan is a pure favour from Allah which He bestows upon whomever He wills.
That Allah gives an example of Imaan as being like a sturdy tree which is firmly entrenched. If the tree was to be cut from its base it would perish, just as the absence of the pillars of Imaan will also make it perish.
That true and correct Imaan must be accompanied with good deeds. The two are inseparable from one another.

Also that the entire deen is established upon the two parts of the shahadah -laa ilaaha illa Allahis sincerity in worship, and Muhammad rasoolo Allahis conformity in worship. Allah will only accept good deeds if they are sincerely for His sake and performed according to the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ.

- Delaying the prayer until its time has passed.
- Leaving the prayer entirely when sick.
- Not moving their tongue during the adhkaar of prayer.
- Wearing thin or transparent clothing during prayer.
- Not performing takbeerat al-ihraam when arriving late to the prayer.
- Excessive movement which is not in the interest of the prayer.
- Letting their gaze wander up to the sky or left and right.
- Praying while holding back the urge to go the toilet.
- Not performing sujood on all seven limbs.
- Incorrectly pronouncing the Faatiha in a way which changes its meaning.
- Not having tranquillity (tuma’neena) in their prayer.

Please note the correction at 6:07 that the initial ratio was 1 vs 10 (20 vs 200 & 100 vs 1000) and then Allah abrogated this to 1 vs 2 (100 vs 200 & 1000 vs 2000).
Perhaps it could have also been worded better, as Ibn Katheer mentions in his tafseer:
"Thereafter, if Muslims were half as many as their enemy, they were not allowed to run away from them. If the Muslims were fewer than that, they were not obligated to fight the disbelievers and thus allowed to avoid hostilities."

He was upright (in worshiping Allah), and a Muslim. He was not of those who worship others besides Allah.

O Allah, Knower of the unseen and the evident, Maker of the heavens and the earth, Lord of everything and its Possessor, I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but You. I seek refuge in You from the evil of my soul and from the evil of Satan and his helpers. (I seek refuge in You) from bringing evil upon my soul and from harming any Muslim.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ فِي دِينِي وَدُنْيَايَ وَأَهْللِي، وَمَالِي، اللَّهُمَّ اسْتُرْ عَوْرَاتِي، وَآمِنْ رَوْعَاتِي، اللَّهُمَّ احْفَظْنِي مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيَّ، وَمِنْ خَلْفِي، وَعَنْ يَمِينِي، وَعَنْ شِمَالِي، وَمِنْ فَوْقِي، وَأَعُوذُ بِعَظَمَتِكَ أَنْ أُغْتَالَ مِنْ تَحْتِ
O Allah, I seek Your forgiveness and Your protection in this world and the next. O Allah, I seek Your forgiveness and Your protection in my religion, in my worldly affairs, in my family and in my wealth. O Allah, conceal my secrets and preserve me from anguish. O Allah, guard me from what is in front of me and behind me, from my right, and from my left, and from above me. I seek refuge in Your Greatness from being struck down from beneath me.

للّهُـمَّ عافِـني في بَدَنـي ، اللّهُـمَّ عافِـني في سَمْـعي ، اللّهُـمَّ عافِـني في بَصَـري ، لا إلهَ إلاّ أَنْـتَ. اللّهُـمَّ إِنّـي أَعـوذُبِكَ مِنَ الْكُـفر ، وَالفَـقْر ، وَأَعـوذُبِكَ مِنْ عَذابِ القَـبْر ، لا إلهَ إلاّ أَنْـتَ
O Allah, make me healthy in my body. O Allah, preserve for me my hearing. O Allah, preserve for me my sight. There is none worthy of worship but You. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from disbelief and poverty and I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave. There is none worthy of worship but You.

O Allah , whatever blessing has been received by me or anyone of Your creation is from You alone, You have no partner. All praise is for you and thanks is to You.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَصْبَحْتُ أُشْهِدُكَ وَأُشْهِدُ حَمَلَةَ عَرْشِكَ، وَمَلَائِكَتَكَ وَجَمِيعَ خَلْقِكَ، أَنَّكَ أَنْتَ اللهُ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ وَحْدَكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ، وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّداً عَبْدُكَ وَرَسُولُكَ
O Allah , I have entered a new morning and call upon You and upon the bearers of Your Throne, upon Your angels and all creation to bear witness that surely You are Allah, there is none worthy of worship but You alone, You have no partners, and that Muhammad is Your slave and Your Messenger.

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لّا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ، وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ، أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ، أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ، وَأَبُوءُ بِذَنْبِي فَاغْفِر لِي فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
O Allah, You are my Lord, there is none worthy of worship but You. You created me and I am your slave. I keep Your covenant, and my pledge to You so far as I am able. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I admit to Your blessings upon me, and I admit to my misdeeds. Forgive me, for there is none who may forgive sins but You.

اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا، وَبِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا، وَبِكَ نَحْيَا، وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ وَإِلَيْكَ النُّشُورُ
O Allah , by You we enter the morning and by You we enter the evening, by You we live and and by You we die, and to You is the Final Return.]

Lesson 4 -
أَصْبَحْنَا وَأَصْبَحَ الْمُلْكُ للهِ وَالْحَمْدُ للهِ ، لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ ، ربِّ أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ مَا فِي هَذَا الْيَومِ وَخَيْرَ مَا بَعْدَهُ ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا فِي هَذَا الْيَومِ وَشَرِّ مَا بَعْدَهُ ، رَبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْكَسَلِ ، وَسُوءِ الكِبَرِ، رَبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ فِي النَّارِ وَعَذَابٍ فِي الْقَبْرِ
We have entered a new day and with it all dominion is Allah's. Praise is to Allah. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, Who has no partner. To Allah belongs the dominion, and to Him is the praise and He is Able to do all things. My Lord, I ask You for the goodness of this day and of the days that come after it, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of this day and of the days that come after it. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from laziness and helpless old age. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of Hell-fire , and from the punishment of the grave.
