The black man or woman has to use the truth to save him or herself: this way and no other way. The black man or woman has to think intelligently, and intentionally this time and make responsible and conscious choices. Again, we don’t know something and that something is that, our thoughts and feelings create our realities and destinies. You create your own realities, all of it not some of it. this could be positive or negative.

Look at your situation as it ought to be but not as it is. In other words, talk, focus, dwell and concentrate on what you want but not what you don’t want. You don’t want sickness, lack and all that so don’t dwell, talk or focus on it.
This mental attitude takes away fear, worry, stress, agitation, anxiety, depression, going to the mental home and all sorts of. Instead of the problems talk of the answers.
God never created heaven and earth with his bare hands but thought them into being. So you are a thought being too, thus create mental pictures, mental premises or vision boards of what you want, need or of the unpleasant situation and dwell in there till you get what you want. Again, this mental attitude takes away fear, worry, stress, anxiety, complaints, depression, negative emotions or mental impurities or junk running to the mental home and all sorts.

Our minds are creative mediums; God will do everything for us depending on our beliefs. No limitation rests upon us; for that matter, let us not allow thoughts of limitations to enter our minds. You are not responsible for the actions and behaviours of others. You don't do their thinking or breathing for them. Each one of us is the only thinker in the universe.
All you owe the other person is love and goodwill. To sincerely love someone is to wish the other person all that you wish for yourself and all the blessings of life such as peace, love, joy, abundance, good health, etc. but not necessarily to have a relationship with them. This frees you and absolves you from all sense of guilt and being responsible for people’s behaviours.

It is an undeniable fact that there are some people in this world who are very difficult and cynical. Due to one reason or the other or their past experiences in life, they are distorted mentally and psychologically sick. They can be very uncooperative and very argumentative even when there is nothing to argue about.
They either consciously or unconsciously want to drag you to their level. The fact is misery loves company and they are very good at provoking you or someone to be on the same vibrational frequency with them. Their inner or self-talk is, why should they be so sad and you are very happy. Either they deliberately choose to hurt you, criticize or condemn you when you haven't done anything.
Some people choose not to smile at you even when you make the effort to. Either they make you second guess yourself or think, what at all have you done to them or what are they wanting from you? Look around you, have you experienced that in the past or are you experiencing that right now?
This person could be your loved one such as your spouse, child, work colleague, family member, a friend at school etc. The question for you today is, what do you do when you have to deal with such people? How do you react to such people? Do you return spite for spite, anger for anger or hate for hate? If you do that, then where is your truth and understanding of life? Are you one of those people who give all the reasons to be angry and even get short of breath?

I say is part of life to go through one challenge or the other. Everything is a challenge, thus use your mind to think to solve it. the joy is overcoming. The problem is here and God is here too. God wins because the day or night has never failed anyone. In the past, you didn’t have the right mental attitude. I am very passionate about exposing my fellow Africans to the teachings of metaphysics and the universal laws and principles that govern and create our destinies and realities in our lives. It hits me to my core and spine that the whole continent is so religious to the core yet they are not aware that it is these universal laws and principles that create realities and destinies in life. It is through that we become what our Father has intended us to be.
It is about time every African comes to know this truth and releases himself or herself from the victim, blaming games and self-pity mentality to a mentality of victory and dominion. Today, we are learning about the law of Relativity which is one of the advanced laws which has been with humanity since creation but is unknown to many especially Africans.
This law states that every soul on earth is provided with the tests of initiations which are difficulties and problems for the purpose of strengthening the Light or Power within.

First of all, I want all of us to come to the realization that the Universe or God talks of Oneness but not separation. The Angels, Guides, Mentors, and Ascended Masters (highly evolved souls that work for God) don't see the differences in our skin colours but see humanity as one. It is simple but not complicated, you either know or you don’t. you believe or not, aware of this truth or not, accept this truth or not.
No matter our different skin colours we all use the mind of God whether we realize it or not. Let me help you to understand the point I am putting across. Regardless of our differences, such as the colour of our skin and our religious backgrounds we are all able to agree to the fact that the cup on the table is white or blue if we all happen to be in a dining area and is true. We all use the mind of God, and that is why we are able to agree on something. Robert collier calls it the Universal Mind.

“Water seeks its own level.” This is a universal principle which is applicable to water everywhere. Consider another principle: “Matter expands when heated.” This is true anywhere, at any time, and under all circumstances. You can heat a piece of steel, and it will expand regardless whether the steel is found in China, England, or India. It is a universal truth that matter expands when heated. It is also a universal truth that whatever you impress on your subconscious mind is expressed on the screen of space as condition, experience, and event. Your prayer is answered because your subconscious mind is principle, and by principle I mean the way a thing works.
For example, the principle of electricity is that it works from a higher to a lower potential. You do not change the principle of electricity when you use it, but by co-operating with nature, you can bring forth marvelous inventions and discoveries which bless humanity in countless ways. Your subconscious mind is principle and works according to the law of belief. You must know what belief is, why it works, and how it works. Your Bible says in a simple, clear, and beautiful way: Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. MARK 11:23.

Just as a gardener cultivates his plot, keeping it free from weeds, and growing the flowers and fruits which he requires, so may a man tend the garden of his mind, weeding out all the wrong, useless, and impure thoughts, and cultivating toward perfection the flowers and fruits of right, useful, and pure thoughts. By pursuing this process, a man sooner or later discovers that he is the master-gardener of his soul, the director of his life. He also reveals, within himself, the laws of thought, and understands, with ever-increasing accuracy, how the thought-forces and mind elements operate in the shaping of his character, circumstances, and destiny.
Thought and character are one, and as character can only manifest and discover itself through environment and circumstance, the outer conditions of a person’s life will always be found to be harmoniously related to his inner state. This does not mean that a man’s circumstances at any given time are an indication of his entire character, but that those circumstances are so intimately connected with some vital thought-element within himself that, for the time being, they are indispensable to his development.

You are the thinker of your thoughts and as such you are the maker of yourself and condition. Thought is causal and creative, and appears in your character and life in the form of results. There are no accidents in your life. Both its harmonies and antagonisms are the responsive echoes of your thoughts. A man thinks, and his life appears.
If your dominant mental attitude is peaceable and lovable, bliss and blessedness will follow you; if it be resistant and hateful, trouble and distress will cloud your pathway. Out of ill-will will come grief and disaster; out of good-will, healing and reparation.
You imagine your circumstances as being separate from yourself, but they are intimately related to your thought world. Nothing appears without an adequate cause. Everything that happens is just. Nothing is fated, everything is formed.

THE aphorism, "As a man thinketh in his heart so is he," not only embraces the whole of a man’s being, but is so comprehensive as to reach out to every condition and circumstance of his life. A man is literally what he thinks, his character being the complete sum of all his thoughts.
As the plant springs from, and could not be without, the seed, so every act of a man springs from the hidden seeds of thought, and could not have appeared without them. This applies equally to those acts called "spontaneous" and "unpremeditated" as to those, which are deliberately executed.
Act is the blossom of thought, and joy and suffering are its fruits; thus does a man garner in the sweet and bitter fruitage of his own husbandry.

An ignoble and bestial character, by the same process, is the result of the continued harbouring of grovelling thoughts.

But emancipation from the ills of life (which are the ills of one’s mind) is a matter of steady growth from within, and not a sudden acquisition from without. Hourly and daily must the mind be trained to think stainless thoughts, and to adopt right and dispassionate attitudes, until he has wrought out of it the Ideal of his holiest dreams. The Higher Life is a higher living in thought, word, and deed.

We are in this world or third-dimensional world to learn lessons of Love and Light. One will begin to see clearly that it is absolutely backward and unenlightened to think or say, that there is a jinx following him or her or under any form of spiritual attack.
Understanding the universal law of Sowing and Reaping, also known as the law of Karma or the law of Cause and Effect. Makes you think clearly that God doesn't punish anyone but we punish ourselves by what we sow in thought. if you think good, good will follow. Likewise, if you think evil, evil will follow.
You cannot sow tomato seeds in the soil and expect to reap rice. It doesn't and can never work that way, unfortunately. If you talk ill about people, people will talk ill about you too. If you are good to people, people will be good to you too. This is the meaning of the great saying that what goes around, comes around. What you send out in thoughts comes back to the source and that source is YOU. Life is an echo, what you throw out comes back to you. like attracts like.
If you want people to be kind, patient, loving etc. be that person to attract such people into your life.
Golden rule If you bless people, you bless yourself, in the same way, if you curse people, you curse yourself. Always ask yourself who is talking, feeling and saying these things and you will realize that you are. You are the only thinker in the Universe. As the Bible rightly said as you think in your heart so are you. A thousand or millions will fall at both your left and right side but it will never come near you.

Great souls always visit this earth and go but their thoughts never disappear from the minds of humanity. One of such souls is Marcus Garvey.
According to our great compatriot; “We are going to emancipate ourselves from mental slavery because whilst others might free the body, none but ourselves can free the mind. Mind is your only ruler, sovereign. The man who is not able to develop and use his mind is bound to be the slave of the other man who uses his mind.”
The founding fathers of The African Mental Emancipation Movement (TAMEM) are motivated by the words and thoughts of Marcus Garvey and share the same thoughts. We consider ourselves as the descendants and disciples of Marcus Garvey and all black leaders that have worked and fought tirelessly for the physical emancipation of Africans.
We are not doing anything new and different but only completing the emancipation process of the Africans set forth by our forefathers this time not from any mortal beings outside ourselves but from our own mental enslavement.
Without a doubt, it is fair to state that Marcus Garvey was and still is a prophet whose prophecy came to pass and still holds relevance in the lives of the entire black race. The black race everywhere is no longer in slavery or colonialism yet we are not free. We have been given freedom physically but since we have not been able to develop and use our minds, we are still in slavery.
For a very long time, as Africans, we have been yearning for a particular change in our existence from other people. Whiles this search continues unabated from generation to generation, the only thing we have not done is the seeking of the desired change from and within ourselves.
It was the belief in the truth given by Marcus Garvey and through the inspiration and guidance of Infinite Intelligence that The African Mental Emancipation Movement (TAMEM0 was formed.
You are therefore called upon for the sake of our continent and race to join this Mental Emancipation Movement that is sweeping across our great continent and the world at large.
Remember, physical emancipation or freedom can be given but mental emancipation is a matter of personal and deliberate affair. Once again invoking the words of Marcus Garvey, “We are going to emancipate ourselves from mental slavery because whilst others might free the body, none but ourselves can free the mind.”

Go into the fields and country lanes in the spring-time, and you will see farmers and gardeners busy sowing seeds in the newly prepared soil. If you were to ask any one of those gardeners or farmers what kind of produce he expected from the seed he was sowing, he would doubtless regard you as foolish, and would tell you that he does not “expect” at all, that it is a matter of common knowledge that his produce will be of the kind which he is sowing, and that he is sowing wheat, or barley, or turnips, as the case may be, in order to reproduce that particular kind.
Every fact and process in Nature contains a moral lesson for the wise man. There is no law in the world of Nature around us which is not to be found operating with the same mathematical certainty in the mind of man and in human life. All the parables of Jesus are illustrative of this truth, and are drawn from the simple facts of Nature. There is a process of seed-sowing in the mind and life a spiritual sowing which leads to a harvest according to the kind of seed sown. Thoughts, words, and acts are seeds sown, and, by the inviolable law of things, they produce after their kind.

The material and the mental are not two detached arcs in the universe, they are the two halves of a complete circle. The natural and the spiritual are not at eternal enmity, but in the true order of the universe are eternally at one. It is in the unnatural - in the abuse of function and faculty – where division arises, and where main is wrested back, with repeated sufferings, from the perfect circle from which he has tried to depart. Every process in matter is also a process in mind. Every natural law has its spiritual counterpart.
Take any natural object, and you will find its fundamental processes in the mental sphere if you rightly search. Consider, for instance, the germination of a seed and its growth into a plant with the final development of a flower, and back to seed again. This also is a mental process. Thoughts are seeds which, falling in the soil of the mind, germinate and develop until they reach the completed stage, blossoming into deeds good or bad, brilliant or stupid, according to their nature, and ending as seeds of thought to be again sown in other minds.
A teacher is a sower of seed, a spiritual agriculturist, while he who teaches himself is the wise farmer of his own mental plot. The growth of a thought is as the growth of a plant. The seed must be sown seasonably, and time is required for its full development into the plant of knowledge and the flower of wisdom. – James Allen.

Man is the maker of happiness and misery. Further, he is the creator and perpetuator of his own happiness and misery. These things are not externally imposed; they are internal conditions. Thought and character are one, and as character can only manifest and discover itself through environment and circumstance, the outer conditions of a person’s life will always be found to be harmoniously related to his inner state. This does not mean that a man’s circumstances at any given time are an indication of his entire character, but that those circumstances are so intimately connected with some vital thought-element within himself that, for the time being, they are indispensable to his development.
Every man is where he is by the law of his being; the thoughts which he has built into his character have brought him there, and in the arrangement of his life there is no element of chance, but all is the result of a law which cannot err. We have heard it said that reason is a blind guide, and that it draws men away from Truth rather than leads them to it. If this were true, it were better to remain, or to become, unreasonable, and to persuade others so to do. We have found, however, that the diligent cultivation of the divine faculty of reason brings about calmness and mental poise, and enables one to meet cheerfully the problems and difficulties of life.
It is true there is a higher light than reason; even that of the Spirit of Truth itself, but without the aid of reason, Truth cannot be apprehended. They who refuse to trim the lamp of reason will never, whilst they so refuse, perceive the light of Truth, for the light of reason is a reflection of that Light.
Reason is a purely abstract quality, and comes midway between the animal and divine consciousness in man, and leads, if rightly employed, from the darkness of one to the Light of the other. It is true that reason may be enlisted in the service of the lower, self-seeking nature, but this is only a result of its partial and imperfect exercise. A man whose inner life is so ungoverned and chaotic must necessarily manifest this confusion in the visible conditions of his outer life in the world; and though for a time, running with the stream of his desires, he may draw to himself a more or less large share of the outer necessities and comforts of life, he never achieves any real success nor accomplishes any real good, and sooner or later worldly failure and disaster are inevitable, as the direct result of the inward failure to properly adjust and regulate those mental forces which make the outer life.
Before a man accomplish anything of an enduring nature in the world he must first of all acquire some measure of success in the management of his own mind. This is as mathematical a truism as that two and two are four, for, “out of the heart are the issues of life.” If a man cannot govern the forces within himself, he cannot hold a firm hand upon the outer activities which form his visible life. It has been said that a man’s whole life and character is the outcome of his belief, and also that his belief has nothing whatever to do with his life. Both statements are true. The confusion and contradiction of these two statements are only apparent, and are quickly dispelled when it is remembered that there are two entirely distinct kinds of beliefs, namely, Head-belief and Heart-belief.
Head, or intellectual belief, is not fundamental and causative, but it is superficial and consequent, and that it has no power in the moulding of a man’s character, the most superficial observer may easily see. Take, for instance, half a dozen men from any creed. They not only hold the same theological belief, but confess the same articles of faith in every particular, and yet their characters are vastly different. One will be just as noble as another is ignoble; one will be mild and gentle, another coarse and irascible; one will be honest, another dishonest; one will indulge certain habits which another will rigidly abjure, and so on, plainly indicating that theological belief is not an influential factor in a man’s life.
A man’s theological belief is merely his intellectual opinion or view of the universe. God, The Bible, etc., and behind and underneath this head-belief there lies, deeply rooted in his innermost being, the hidden, silent, secret belief of his heart, and it is this belief which moulds and makes his whole life. It is this which makes those six men who, whilst holding the same theology, are yet so vastly at variance in their deeds - they differ in the vital belief of the heart. – James Allen.

Until thought is linked with purpose there is no intelligent accomplishment. With the majority the bark of thought is allowed to "drift" upon the ocean of life. Aimlessness is a vice, and such drifting must not continue for him who would steer clear of catastrophe and destruction.
They who have no central purpose in their life fall an easy prey to petty worries, fears, troubles, and self-pityings, all of which are indications of weakness, which lead, just as surely as deliberately planned sins (though by a different route), to failure, unhappiness, and loss, for weakness cannot persist in a power evolving universe.
A man should conceive of a legitimate purpose in his heart, and set out to accomplish it. He should make this purpose the centralizing point of his thoughts. It may take the form of a spiritual ideal, or it may be a worldly object, according to his nature at the time being; but whichever it is, he should steadily focus his thought-forces upon the object, which he has set before him. He should make this purpose his supreme duty, and should devote himself to its attainment, not allowing his thoughts to wander away into ephemeral fancies, longings, and imaginings. This is the royal road to self-control and true concentration of thought.

Every human being lives in his or her own world and that is our mental worlds. Your outer world or environment is the giant screen upon which your inner or mental world is displayed to you. The truth of the matter is that your outer or physical world is moulded and shaped in your mental world by means of your mental states. It is this moment-by-moment mental state the bible speaks about through the use of characters and symbols.
The biblical story about Cain and Abel as in the book of Genesis chapter four is the representation of our mental states. Depending on your mental state, you are either Abel or Cain, the positive-minded person is the one with the Abel mentality or mental state and the one with a negative mental attitude is the one with the Cain mentality.
Your mind is the altar of God and the sacrifices you offer on the altar are your thoughts. Negative thoughts are not acceptable by God in you and for that matter always reject your mental offering as in the case of Cain.

It is simply delusional and a matter of ignorance for one to believe that he or she will not encounter difficulties. The sportsperson that turns around to complain about the challenges designed for his or her own progress is not a true sportsperson but a person that lacks the understanding of how things work in that department. Without first enduring the pain and sweat of training and even disappointments, he or she will never become a champion. All those things are to help the sportsperson to develop mental stamina for the race itself. So it is with our difficulties, they are for the exercise of our minds to create solutions to them. You and I are both not champions or sportspersons because we do not understand the language in that area.
We are masters in our areas where we had to burn the midnight candle to study to pass our exams. Did we confess that exams are bad for us? Consider the joy and the thrill after receiving the results of your exams, all the pain and suffering immediately disappear for joy. That is what is called the thrill of accomplishment, you have moved on from a lower state of existence to a higher state all through challenges

Right now as you are reading these words from me, if you pause for a minute and step outside your house or office in any city or town in Africa you will not struggle to spot a sign advertising POWER either by the men and women of God, Mallams and Imams or the traditional spiritualists.
In the same way, if you switch on your TV or radio, eight out of ten commercials will be about the super-duper power-packed programs by religious men and women. If this is too hard for you, then open your Facebook page on your phone especially those of us in the diaspora and you will not fail to spot an invitation from African men or women of God, Mallams or traditional juju men and women. All with elaborate pictures and captions of promises of POWER to do and to be one thing or the other.
The irony of the above is that never in the advanced world will you see such a thing or receive any unwanted promises of Power from any human being. It simply does not exist, if it does exist then they are the works of Africans in the diaspora. Nonetheless, the truth is that upon comparing these two worlds, with all the proliferation of religious men and women promising power in all areas of life in Africa. Africa, our beloved continent is rather without any iota of doubt a symbol of POWERLESSNESS while the advanced world is a symbol of POWER.
• African Political and traditional leaders are powerless and can only beg all the time from higher souls yet they are those that attend super-duper services and rituals every day. • Businessmen and women are powerless and for that matter can only resort to corrupt practices to make money, yet they are those that attend super-duper services and rituals every day. • The citizens themselves are powerless to create any single thing that meets their own needs, yet they are those that attend super-duper services and rituals every day.
Do yourself a favour and perform a simple but not a thorough examination of your life and others around you on this. One thing that will become clear to you is that you and all those people upon the powerful promises and advertisements are nothing but powerless souls that can't lift even a feather.
• If you are not complaining about joblessness, then you are selling yourself to people you believe are more powerful than you. • If you are not afraid of witches and wizards then, you are pinned to the ground by the firm claws of poverty. • If you are not afraid of your fellow men and women, you are super sensitive to the imminent attacks of the so-called evil spirits. • The truth is, the entire life of the African soul is clouded in fear, despair and hopelessness, all indications of the absence of POWER TO DOMINATE CIRCUMSTANCES.

The different skin colours are the unique ways our Maker chose to express himself.
Regardless of our skin colour, we are all organs and expressions of God. God needs all of us here on this earth that is why we all carry his breath and breathe in and out from the same source. Without the breath of God in us, the black, the white, the brown or any other skin colour is not. We all breathe from the same source effortlessly and without struggle.

According to the book of Proverbs, “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.”
The general view that, it is our right to hold others, hostage, in our minds as the cause of our circumstances or woes. Though sounds and appears right in the eyes of mankind. Nonetheless, that is a way that leads to the recreation of the same circumstances in our lives.
The question is what is your image or concept about yourself that you hold in your mind? Do you see yourself as a victim or disadvantaged? You are self-sabotaging yourself if you hold the image or concept that you are in a circumstance or position due to others people’s actions or evil forces.

Anything that can take over your mind and cause you to fear and worry has taken your mind hostage and for that matter, you are in bondage.
Thus any group of people that will gather to preoccupy their minds to pray to ward off such a thing are in bondage.
The nature of the engine of a car is to operate effectively and efficiently therefore anything that comes to impede the smooth running of the engine is causing discord and holding the engine’s system hostage.
In the like manner, a person’s mind is to be free and to receive ideas and solutions to human problems, therefore, anything that causes the mind into a fearful or worrisome state is holding the mind hostage.
Thoughts of anything that cause fear and worry is a foreign agent fighting the right operation of the mind.

No one can think about two things at the same time, your mind can only hold a thought at a time. In your life multitude of thoughts will pass through your mind but it is those that you will make the dominant ones that will take root in your subconscious mind and become your reality.

The statement by Jean-Jacques Rousseau that “Man is born free but everywhere is in chains”. If superimposed on the Africans, it will be rephrased that, “The African is born free but everywhere in chains.”
The question is where do you seek the source of these chains? The answer is simply, ourselves through our beliefs, traditions and taboos. Believe it or not, the notion or the idea of sinning and punishment by God and gods, the belief in the works of evil forces has led to the creation of fearful and mentally incarcerated Africans.
The resulting effect is the African inability to think independently and to take volition action in response to his own life challenges.

Your mind is a creative medium, therefore, do not dwell upon thoughts about things or past events that you do not want to repeat in your life. Whether you know it or not, believe it or not, the truth is to live is a science. The science of living demands that you must be selective in your choice of thoughts to entertain.
Choose life and peace by dwelling on only positive and constructive thoughts, avoid thoughts of past events except only using the past as teachers for lessons.

Nature unaided fails is another way of referencing the universal law of cause and effect. Regardless of the actions of a person or a group of people, the person or group of people will receive from the Universe in accordance with the nature of their actions. Good and purposeful actions in mind and physical lead to positive and favourable conditions as per the law.
The deliberate choice not to act or think will also return negative results according to the law of cause and effects. Why didn’t the writer say to train up an adult the way he or she should go? The answer is, just as a chicken is made from the egg, in the same way, a man or woman is made out of the child.
It does not matter the kind of education that an adult will have, the person’s personality will always be found to be the true refraction of his or her childhood upbringing. The personality of any person or group of people is moulded and shaped by the childhood training adopted by the group of people but not in formal education.

To perceive your difficulties as acts of evil spirit and pray away your challenges or difficulties is a matter of ignorance. This mental attitude is the number factor that has paralyzed Africa in terms of development.
Believe it or not, no one will be decorated as a warrior when the person has not engaged in an act of war. No one can become a champion without participating in a game and winning it.
In the same way, you cannot be successful without battling life challenges or difficulties and overcoming them. The overcoming is the evidence of your success and it is this evidence that humanity will stand on to bless you with all that you deserve.
