Tiago Faria shares his experience of pivoting his business to focus on podcast guesting and the benefits it brings in terms of networking, marketing, and sales. He discusses the concept of outcome independence and the importance of embracing failure as an entrepreneur. Tiago also talks about his time working at Google and the fun perks they had at their headquarters. He shares his journey of leaving Google and starting his own ventures, as well as the challenges he faced during the pandemic. Tiago explains how he discovered the power of podcasting and how it has transformed his business. Podcast guesting is one of the best marketing methods because it provides access to new audiences, networking opportunities, and the ability to warm up cold leads. It also allows for the creation of micro content for social media and adds value to the audience. Podcast listeners are motivated, deep-divers who often have higher income. To start pitching themselves as guests, individuals should focus on their unique mechanism and create a compelling origin story. They should engage with hosts by adding value and following up. Podcasting can be a standalone marketing strategy or complement other activities, and it is important to have a compelling call to action and multiply the effects of each episode.

I am always in awe of other's success stories, depth of knowledge, and great achievements. WT exceeded all expectations and was someone I could have talked to for hours.
All About My Friend, WT Hamilton
Working in a job he loved until the 2009 market crash, WT suddenly found himself in a situation where he was no longer in control of his financial future or his life's direction. He knew he needed to change how he did things and what he expected out of life. That's when WT Hamilton discovered the law of attraction, which began a very wonderful and incredible journey.
Hamilton became an award-winning author despite his struggle with spelling, at 8 years old his family was told by a teacher that he would not amount to much. Confidence and self-belief became his biggest asset.
WT's focus is on helping people achieve their perceived impossibles and show them how to welcome the struggle and how to utilize the unfair advantages that are hidden in life's journey.

There is a little bit of everything in this episode where I introduce to you one of my soulmates, Sarah Campos. We are cousins who began working together and have found solace in one another through thick and thin.
While we are typically on the wild side together, today I get to introduce you to her while she talks about the incredible obstacles she has managed to grow through. How she is a light to her family and others. Her story is ever-evolving but will have you looking at life with a new perspective.
I'm so honored to share her with all of you and I hope you will head to her instagram and follow along with her journey.

Leveling Up through Crisis:
For instance...this was my first time editing my own podcast, and I'm pretty sure you'll hear me screaming at my kids and animals. I'll get better, I promise.
ANYWAYS:
I understand a lot about this topic, and I know that there are many people that this will speak to, I promise there's gonna be some tools in here today that will help you.
Today’s episode is about learning how to self-regulate and understanding that you absolutely can continue through your goals, even when you have big, scary, and sometimes very difficult things going on in your life.
You absolutely need to keep your priorities straight, but if you have a dream or a goal, or a plan you’re working towards, you don’t need to abandon all, even though it may feel like all you want to do.
We have to figure out how to continue moving your business forward through these feelings and this hurt, fear, and desperation.
1.) Don’t Google how to get through this desperate, horrible time. Okay.
2.) Write down everything you know to be true about yourself. Every single thing, all every attribute that you know to be true about yourself. Write it all down.
3.) Start Journaling, it’s not a blog, just write. Say the things you need to say.
4.) Consider what you would say to a friend or sibling in your situation.
5.) Hold space for yourself, it is okay to feel broken and sad.
Feel the feelings. Move through them.
*But if you're a friend of somebody in this place, I beg of you not to try and fix their problem, not to try and tell them it could be worse, not to try and compare a situation that you had. Validate them. Tell them you're there for them. And if you have advice, ask them if you can give it first.

As F.M. Alexander says, “People don't decide their future. They decide their habits, and their habits decide their future.” Unfortunately, we do a poor job of living that out. So how do we do things differently for 2023 to make sure we’re achieving our goals?
In this episode, learn how habit stacking can work for you and some concrete examples that you can start applying today. The goal is always to get to your destination, but you can't just start driving and hope to wind up exactly where you need to be, you need a map, a gps, a plan. Similarly, getting to those goals requires systems, and one of those is what we call habit stacking.
There’s no such thing as the right time, so if that’s what you’re waiting for I implore you to stop. Is it going to be “one day…” or “Day One”. It’s never too late to become a better version of yourself so how about you start now?
Episode Highlights:
[04:30] Putting Action to Your Goals
You can say what your goal is, easily. But if you're not creating a system and stacking your habits to reach that goal, then you're going nowhere. You can't just say you want to earn a million dollars a year and have it happen. You've got to have a plan for that, and your plan is ever-changing. In order to really start to excel in life, you have to improve on some serious habits. If your goal is to lose 10 pounds come February, then what habits are you going to change?
[10:21] How Habit Stacking Works
Habit stacking refers to creating habits that you can include on top of the things you’re already doing. For instance, as you get up and brush your teeth every single morning, what's a good habit that you need to include to stack on top of that? Maybe drink a glass of lemon water before your first cup of coffee. Or if you are taking supplements regularly, what can you stack next to move you closer to your goal? Where can you stack getting a little bit of a workout in? When stacking your habits, you're basically creating a roadmap and a better version of yourself.
[24:33] Habit Stacking for Leaders
We all get into bad habits, and leaders are not an exception. But as a leader, before you start leading anybody, you need to do a serious inventory of yourself. Recognize both your good and bad habits, stack on the good habits, and then do what you can to reverse the bad ones so you can improve as a leader and as a person. As a leader, you need to be an example and set the precedence for others to follow.

How often do we get things misconstrued in text and online messages? As Zig Ziglar says, “In many ways, effective communication begins with mutual respect, communication that inspires and encourages others to do their best.”
Inasmuch as the internet has made things very accessible for everyone, it has made communication a bit more difficult because so much of how we communicate is through online and text messages. But words only make up 7% of our communication. 38% is tonality and pause, and 55% is body language. How then are we able to get our message across to someone when they only get to read what you’re trying to say?
Here are some power takeaways from today’s conversation:
Episode Highlights:
[06:04] Choose to Be a Better Person
Choose the option to become better and do what you've dreamed of doing. That also means you get to choose the people you’re going to surround yourself with. While we can’t choose family, you can seek out like-minded people who are always in growth mode and you can hold space for each other.
[10:16] Choose to Be a Thermostat Over a Thermometer
A thermometer measures the temperature and that’s all it does. And if you’re that kind of person and you find yourself in a heated conversation, you’re just going to jump in and say your piece no matter what. Or you can be a thermostat where you still manage to keep your cool in a heated conversation because you’re there not to take sides, but to be a witness.
[11:55] Three Ways to Alleviate Tension
Especially, during holiday events, we could get stuck in a room filled with tension. And there are ways to ease things up a bit. First, you can take on a character, say an Englishman, and carry on in an English accent. Another option is to only allow people to argue their point with charades or Pictionary. Or you can just start spraying whipped cream into people's mouths.
[16:21] The Four Pieces of Effective Communication
The first piece of effective communication is to know what you want to say and what you want to convey. Know what your intention is because nine times out of 10, we don't say what we're intending.
The second piece of effective communication is what you actually said. The third piece is what the other person hears because we all hear things differently. The fourth piece is what the other person’s perception is of what they heard. You can't control somebody's perception of you , and you can't control their perception of what you're saying.

Happiness isn’t something you search for outside. It’s already deep inside you. It’s already who you are. You just have to figure out ways to connect back to yourself and align with who you truly are. And when you’re able to do that, you have not only found true inner happiness, but you’re also living your most authentic self and living your true potential.
In this episode, Teresa Greco joins us to teach us some happiness hacks and tools you can use every day to connect with yourself. Teresa is a happiness coach, speaker, educator, Reiki master, and channeler. She shares this breathing technique that can immediately bring you back to who you are.
Here are some power takeaways from today’s conversation:
Episode Highlights:
[03:51] How to Live Your True Potential
You can’t live your true potential if you’re not living your authentic self – every moment. You have to constantly check in with yourself if the choices you’re making are for yourself or for other people. To be authentic, you have to be conscious and mindful of how you’re living each moment, instead of living on autopilot, which a lot of people do.
[15:19] Being on Purpose
“Purpose” is not this one true and big thing that we came here to do. But it's rather being on purpose in every season of our life. That’s why you need to check in with yourself if you still feel you’re exactly in the right place at the right time and doing what you’re supposed to be doing. And if you are, then you’re still on purpose.
[25:22] How to Find True Happiness
Happiness is what you already are. You just have to go inward and discover that within yourself because as a spiritual being, you are always at peace, always happy, and always loving. But we’re not taught to connect to that. Rather, we’ve been conditioned to find happiness outside of ourselves.
[35:36] The Power of Meditation, Breathwork, Gratitude, and Affirmation
We've been taught how to pray, but praying is speaking outward. Meditating is you silencing yourself enough that you can hear guidance or message from your higher self or your spirit guides. We are spiritual beings having a human experience. So when you add that element to it, it changes life on earth. Meditation helps you connect to a place of happiness inside of you, even when things outside of you are out of your control.
Teresa shares a breathing technique that can help you align with who you are. Inhale for four seconds and exhale for seven seconds. Then concentrate on the breathing for 30 seconds. There are also other breathing techniques you can practice to help touch base with yourself.
Gratitude brings you back to yourself. It aligns you with the love, peace, and happiness inside of you. Gratitude is one of those high-vibrational practices. It’s just as powerful as love. Affirmations remind you of what's important. The mind is so powerful. Create those statements that remind you of what's true.

Whether it’s your business or a relationship, how do you know it’s a sinking ship? As human beings, we are driven by our emotions. We easily get attached to people and things and then we have a hard time realizing it’s time to let go.
Today, I’m sharing some insights into how to start recognizing that you’re in a sinking ship. If you want to go to a level after next, you've got to jump ship – and do it at the right time.
Here are some power takeaways from today’s conversation:
Episode Highlights:
[04:30] Signs That You Are in a Sinking Ship
When the really important crew members start jumping ship – fast turnover, your bonus going away, or great people leaving for other companies – it's a pretty good sign that something's not going well. If there's water coming in, it's a sign that things are not going well.
In a business, it's important that everybody feels safe. Companies go under because of their inability to change direction. They can't fix their ship because they don't want to admit that something's going wrong.
[12:49] Nothing is Unsinkable
No business is unsinkable. Therefore, take full and complete responsibility not only for yourself and your happiness but for your future. You have to put in the work to keep your business afloat. That’s going to look different for every business. But are you doing that?
Whether it's having conversations, running numbers, sharing on social media, responding back to people, or customer care follow-up – you have to show up, and show up consistently.
[18:19 ] How to Recognize Toxic Positivity
Being positive and forward-thinking are great strengths every leader should have, but not to the point that they become idealistic to a fault. A good example of toxic positivity is when you have concerns that instead of being met with openness and ways to improve, you’re only told that it’s going to fix itself.
As a leader, it's great to look at the big picture, but it's also important to be able to sometimes get down into the little things so you can fix them while the leak is still small.
[22:31] Your Business is Not Your Home – It's About the Bottom Line
A lot of people refer to their business as their home, which is an unhealthy thing. Your business is not your home. You should feel in alignment with it and feel a lot of positive things. But it's not your home.
Understand that every business is about the bottom line. At a certain point, it does not matter how much community there is or how meaningful and powerful your story is. A business is a business. Treat it as such and detach your emotions from it. It can fail anytime so you don’t want to sink along with it.
Content creation is a relatively new industry and the rise of the influence space has dramatically changed the photography space and how brands interact with creatives. Many brands are not paying creators the rate that they deserve, not just because they don’t value themselves enough, but because there’s a lack of education when it comes to content creation as a business.
In today’s episode, commercial photographer and creative consultant, Ally Pintucci, shares her thoughts, insights, and vision around the creative industry, and how content creators, especially those starting, should be looking at this as a business. It’s time to get the creative industry to a whole new level!
Here are some power takeaways from today’s conversation:
Episode Highlights:
[06:53] Social Media: The Double-Edged Sword
The Internet is a double-edged sword. The one platform or space online that can be used as an incredible source of connection and inspiration is also the same platform that is detrimental to people's health and some people's creativity.
People find themselves in this comparison or this spiral. Whether it's theirwork, their body, their looks, or their political views, it's just fascinating how we spend so much of our time, particularly on one channel. It's the best and worst platform at the same time. There's just so much noise.
[26:08] How the Influencer Space Changed the Photography Space and How Brands Interact with Creatives
Marketing is not the same as it was five years ago. It's not the same as it was 10 years ago. And it's not the same as it was 20 years ago. 20 years ago, you weren't hiring influencers to shoot your magazine content. You were straight-up hiring photographers. And if you wanted the press for it, you had to either host the press on a trip or pay for it.
Now, with the influencer space, people just come in without any knowledge of how that works. They sometimes come in because they either want free things or they want to be a celebrity or public figure. And they don't really understand the back end of how it’s detrimental to the creative business as a whole.
[30:22] How to Elevate the Creative Industry as a Whole
Learn how to package your rates. Figure out what works best with each of these campaigns and how to be a bit more flexible, but not give yourself away.
Be less secretive about your rates, who you work with, and what you're charging. Money is a taboo subject for people. But there is clearly a lack of education because it's a relatively new industry.
There are not a lot of tools for creators. All they know is to post consistently, do a reel per day, use a trending sound, or use these hashtags. There's enough of that noise. But there's not enough information about how creators need to market themselves as a business and how to have that business side of it down. Hence, it’s important to connect with other creators. Don’t be afraid to ask.

As women, what we offer is so unique, but we have been wired to be otherwise. We have been wired to only do what we’re supposed to be doing, and we forget we’re here in this world to become who we’re created to be. Many of us have not been taught how to dream, value self-worth, and truly live. But it’s never too late. Today, let’s begin the journey of training ourselves to be the person we’re meant to be!
In this episode, January Donovan, self-worth strategist, bestselling author, and founder of The Woman School, talks about the importance of women training themselves to become the women they’re meant to be.
With over 20 years of experience training women, January believes that when you invest in training yourself, you can save yourself from a lot of collateral damage in your life (whether bad marriages, bad relationships, eating disorders, anxiety, stress, etc.)
Here are some power takeaways from today’s conversation:
Episode Highlights:
[06:15] Things Taught at The Woman School
At The Woman School, they teach women how to discover the dream of the season. Most women are not dreaming because they're not shown how to dream. They also train women how to design every part of their life. Every part of our life impacts the other but we’re not taught that our lives are integrated. There’s a dream for every season and there’s a design for every season, so there’s training for every season. Another thing they teach at The Woman School is how to decide who you want to become.
[09:13] Comparison and Competition
When we were four or five, we passed by the magazine stand and we saw a girl dressed in a nice outfit on the cover of a magazine. We didn't know how to think and how to respond to all those stimuli around us. And at four years old, we are already developing habitual patterns of comparison. And since we’re not trained in how to look at things, the patterns we’ve developed become the norm.
And so, if we could only teach our children and train them how to respond to stimuli, then we would save them the life of being in a mental prison that has neurologically been wired. We’re saving them from the undue pressure to be perfect and saving them from self-doubt, stress, and anxiety.
[12:45] Why Invest in Training Yourself All the Time
Invest in training and in being a student – it’s the most beautiful thing a woman can do. There’s a difference between knowing and being. We can know something and never be. Training is how we become. We are born to be fulfilled and to pursue the person we’re created to be. And the only way to give birth to that is to train ourselves for that.
[16:51] How to Break the Habit of Comparing
The reason we compare is that we don’t dream. When we don't discover what's uniquely ours to contribute and to offer the world, we're looking at everyone else. Dreaming is important because it sets you on your unique path. Therefore, dream.
Women learn a language of self-doubt because our culture has created a metric for value. (ex. perfection, achievement, power, prestige, etc.) Hence, we have to create a new infrastructure where value is no longer based on the external. And instead, it should be based on the sheer evidence that we're uniquely created.

There's nothing wrong with pursuing medicine, education, construction, engineering, or whatever it is that you choose to do. However, in this day and age that we’re in right now, there’s probably no other way to ensure your future and your family’s future but to have multiple revenues.
Today’s guest, Andrea Gebhardt, is proof that no matter how extensive your educational background is, you’ve got to give yourself permission to do other things that allow you to achieve your ultimate goal in life.
Andrea is an educator turned entrepreneur and personal coach. She has been involved in network marketing for several years now. She also built a transformational platform for educators called The Well, where she helps teachers get what they need to increase their capacity to do what they do, especially in this time of a teaching crisis.
Here are some power takeaways from today’s conversation:
Episode Highlights:
[12:39] The Benefits of a Network Marketing Career
Network marketing is not only a career for stay-at-home moms, as most people think. It’s actually a career that can provide financial stability to people while breaking the cycle of the typical nine-to-five job. You’re able to earn an income that creates possibilities for other ventures and projects that can completely change the trajectory of your life.
[15:10] Why Choose a Career in Network Marketing
If you've ever been in a position where you still don't have what you need to do what you need to do, then what you're doing isn't providing enough. Andrea believes that network marketing is the best way for average people to come out on top. However, a lot of people shy away from this industry because they’re afraid they’re going to be held accountable for who they are and who they’re not.
In network marketing, there’s a different level of accountability. In a traditional job, there are people who are still being paid even if they’re not doing what they should do because these companies reward complacency and do things halfway. Whether you're super productive or not productive, you're still getting paid the same as the other employee who gave it their all.
[45:53] Give Yourself Permission to Succeed
Entrepreneurs don't just do one thing, entrepreneurs do many things. If you want to be an entrepreneur, it doesn’t mean you can only do one thing. You can do as many things as you can and create a solution for a need because that’s where some of the best things come from. It’s scary, but you’ve got to give yourself permission to fail in order to succeed.

Can’t take the next step because you’re going through tough stuff right now? And so, you think of just setting aside your goals until things get better. The problem is you could forever get stuck in the rut. How do you move forward and get to the next level?
First, you need to change your mindset. Getting to the next level is not just about taking the step, it has a lot to do with the power of mindset and intentionality.
In this conversation, Michelle Wolfe, creator of Muve Life activewear, shares powerful insights into setting goals, moving forward, and taking care of your body.
Losing her mom to cancer when she was eight years old sparked Michelle’s curiosity about health and wellness. She dove into different modalities, traveled the world, and became a registered massage therapist, dedicating herself to the health and wellness movement. Michelle also hosts her own podcast Muve Forward, where she talks all about living life to the fullest and making intentional choices each and every day to move past trauma.
Here are some power takeaways from today’s conversation:
Episode Highlights:
[09:20] How to Transition Through Tough Parts of Your Life
As human beings, we are here to grow spiritually, and that usually happens through life-changing experiences. Whether in the form of loss, grief, or traumas, these are opportunities for growth. And it takes some level of awareness to be able to recognize that these things happen not because we’re being punished, but because we need them in order to grow. Once we recognize that and learn to embrace it, then healing takes place.
[15:19] Surround Yourself with Things That Will Move You Forward
Michelle recalls having a screensaver of a woman in workout clothes, hoping and believing that one day, she will have her own sports line. She didn’t have the money or the people to support her, but she knew she would one day figure things out – and she did.
Michelle recommends being intentional about the things you want to do in your life as well as listening to the signs and manifestations around you. Maybe they’re not exactly what you need to be doing per se, but they could lead you in the direction of where you’re meant to go.
[22:15] Use Other People’s Information as Motivation
When you have somebody else who's doing something, creating something, or sharing information that inspires you, then go for it, if that’s what’s going to help motivate you to get to the next level. If you're not able to get there yourself, feed off other people's energy or information, whether that’s listening to a podcast or a TikTok post. It’s about being curious and allowing the information to come to you.

Is your mindset still stuck in the successes of yesterday? This is something difficult for our heads to wrap around. But what might have worked for you five years ago isn’t going to work today anymore – and your successes today will no longer work tomorrow.
If you want to truly succeed, you’ve really got to keep up with the times because nothing fails like success. Nothing fails like success. It’s all different now. And what we all need, more than ever, is innovation, and the willingness and ability to recognize when something isn’t working anymore.
So you decide: are you going to stay inside the sinking ship – or are you willing to jump off and swim your way to success?
Here are some power takeaways from today’s conversation:
Episode Highlights:
[04:39] The Punctuated Equilibrium
The pandemic has changed everything we thought we knew or existed. The concept of punctuated equilibrium is this idea of change that happens in short periods of time. Where before, we used to do almost everything in-person, with a little online stuff here and there. But now, that doesn’t work anymore.
Everything has changed. It didn't just change the way we shop or shorten our attention span, or how you could run your business. It changed who we are – completely. This is hard for a lot of people to accept because nothing fails like success. The success they had before the pandemic is not going to work anymore.
Acceptance is key, and in order for you to accept that things have changed, start to think about how you've changed. Then figure out new ways to be successful.
[20:08] The Need for Innovation and Genius Ideas
Nothing fails like success. It’s hard to admit that something that once worked, can't work anymore. Sometimes it means that the rebuild is going to take a long time, and that people are not going to like it. Regardless of the nature of your business, what you need is innovation and genius ideas.
It doesn't matter how old you are, or whether you like being online. It doesn't matter what your job or position, whether you’re selling something, or you’re trying to grow your business. But if you truly want to grow your business, you’ve got to be online. Otherwise, somebody who needs to look you up, if you’re not there, they’re going to find your competition since they have a great social media page.
Nothing fails like success. What worked for no longer works now. And what works for you now, will no longer work tomorrow. So you have to keep up with the times.

One of the biggest reasons people start to fail is because of their expectations – and this applies to your business, your family, your friends, and your life.
Hopefully, today, I can help you start thinking deeply about how often you're actually relying on your expectations of others – and why you need to start letting those expectations go.
Do it and it will free your life up. You'll start to take far more responsibility for your success, your happiness, and your future. Because it's all about you!
Here are some power takeaways from today’s conversation:
Episode Highlights:
[02:46] 3 Reasons You Need to Release the Expectations of Others
First, it's human nature, however, everybody's different. Second, nobody cares about you as much as you care about yourself. That's why you have to care about yourself.
Lastly, we cannot control people. Everybody is in control of themselves. You only get to be in control of yourself – and what you can control are your expectations. But it's going to take practice. It’s going to take time, and some of them are going to be hard.
[04:22] Places/Situations Where You Have Those Expectations
See which places you have those expectations, where you may not realize you have them, and you'll start to see whether you're living based on your expectations of other people.
We have expectations when we text people. For instance, we expect them to respond a certain way. Either we want to get a quick response or a specific response. And then we get disappointed when we get something different.
[12:39] How to Release Expectations
When somebody can't live up to your expectations, especially in a conversation where you need help and support, just separate yourself from that and move on. You cannot live by your expectations of other people. Be able to set boundaries. It's not about them, not living up to your expectations. But it's about knowing what's good for you.
Don't take it personally, otherwise, this will consume you and your thoughts. And that's because you had expectations that couldn't be fulfilled. Only hold yourself responsible. Let people show up when they can and be willing to put the boundaries up when it's not going to serve you and what you need at that moment.
[16:50] Releasing Expectations as a Leader
The systems are there. But you can't just expect systems to work on their own if you're not going to work. As a leader, you have to be willing to work alongside those who want to be there and release expectations.

Today, let me tell you why you should just start making decisions. Don’t overthink and worry about whether it’s going to be right or wrong. Sometimes, you just have to make a decision and follow it through. Learn in what ways you could start small so you can go big.
Once you master the art of decision-making, you’re going to feel like an empowered badass!
Here are some power takeaways from today’s conversation:
Episode Highlights:
[07:35] Let Yourself Make Decisions
We live in a society where we have so much information with so many places to pull knowledge from. And it’s easy to get stuck in decisions – large and small – because we feel like we always have to be making the right one. The problem is that there's not always going to be the right decision.
It's not about making the right or the wrong decision. It's about making a decision, following through with it, and seeing what happens.
It might not sound like a big deal but letting yourself make decisions is huge. The more you make decisions, the more you become empowered. Then you begin to get better at making decisions.
[19:36] Starting Small
Start with the groceries, or start with doing something that you wouldn't normally do. For example, take your kids to Target and let them each pick something out under $5.
No matter how small or big, pick an “event” and challenge yourself to make even the tiniest of decisions. As you do this more often, your days will turn into weeks and weeks into months. It’s like building up a habit. As you make decisions more, you will have more control over your life.

Have you found that thing you’re going to do for the rest of your life? Finding your life purpose requires awareness and the willingness to recognize when it is time to make a shift – even when you're in a good place.
The problem, however, is that we all have limiting beliefs that keep us from living our true purpose. A lot of this has to do with fear. But what if you could find a way to associate fear with growth?
In today’s episode, peak performance coach and notable speaker, Christopher Dedeyan, joins us as he speaks about finding and living your true purpose by learning how to separate fear and danger. He also talks about adding a value ladder to your business so you can serve your clients better.
Ready to dive in?
Here are some power takeaways from today’s conversation:
Episode Highlights:
[13:35] Separating Fear From Your Life Purpose
There comes a point in someone’s life where you see a fork in the road. Then your gut feeling will try to pull you towards a certain path. But once you start looking at it, you begin to repress that. You come up with all the different excuses why you shouldn’t be doing that. But all that is just your belief system. Once you’re able to notice that and separate fear from danger, you begin to associate fear with growth.
[15:37] The Difference Between Fear and Danger
Throughout that evolution of time, the brain was created for only one thing – survival. The brain is not meant to make you successful, feel happy, feel abundant, or feel joy because that’s not its goal. The goal is to make you survive.
And so, when your heart kind of feels it's the right thing, the brain then comes into play, telling you that you need to survive. Then it starts to associate fear and danger. However, people often misassociate both of these feelings.
Danger is something that's going to hurt, whereas fear is only you pushing your limits and your comfort zone wider and wider. Episode Highlights:
[08:26] Getting an Additional Stream of Income
Not having time is the #1 excuse that people make. But with the current inflation, having an additional stream of income is essential. Find opportunities that fit into your lifestyle and brain space.
[13:45] Create a Schedule
Your mental and physical state is important. Start your day intentionally. In the morning, determine what you need to get done. Plan out your day for at least 10 minutes — or even less, if possible. Try going to bed early and waking up early.
[19:12] Spend Your Time Mindfully
Check how much time you spend on apps. Figure out if you are using your time in the best way possible. Which of those times are productive or meaningful? What can you cut back on? Where could you spend your time to be more productive instead?
Train yourself to catch yourself when you are stuck in mindless activity. Then find out what will help you stop spending time mindlessly and be productive.
[24:34] Outsource Tasks
Your time is worth money. How you spend your time must be worth your minutely rate. What tasks are taking up your time and energy? Outsourcing that task and getting an assistant can help you free up your time to do more valuable things.

Lessons like how to live life and who you are cannot be learned in school. These things can only be learned through the experiences you gain — but what if you get lost somewhere along the way? What if you end up hitting a wall and feeling stuck?
Join me today as we talk about how you can discover your identity, values, and skills. A strong sense of self will ground your decisions and serve as a foundation for the life and business you want.
Tune in to find out how to empower your life through self-discovery!
Here are some power takeaways from today’s conversation:
Episode Highlights:
[06:11] Know Your Values
You need tools or a coach to help you get unstuck. Comfort is the opposite of change. People often find excuses to stay in their comfort zone even if it makes them unhappy. You must find out your values and align them with your decisions.
Determine your driving forces. Once you do, you’ll be able to make stronger, more confident decisions. It also allows you to stay in your values while honoring other people’s values.
[14:23] Discovering Yourself
By discovering yourself, you’ll be able to show up more alive and authentic. Knowing who you are is empowering and helps you grow and keep growing into the fullest version of yourself. It also helps you detect burnout before it happens and give yourself the space you need.
[20:10] Five Areas You Should Focus On
To find out what aligns with who you are, focus on these five areas: belief, celebration, visualization, boundaries, and values. Shift your mindset to believe you can change your life and achieve your dreams. Determine the skills you can bring to the table. Set boundaries.
[28:25] Own Your Strengths
You won’t find fulfillment if your career is misaligned with your values. Recognize your worth and know when you’re being undervalued. It is important to own your strengths.
[35:33] Attracting Like Energy
Emotions are energy in motion. They are neither good nor bad. When you listen to your emotions and don’t give them power over you, you can live in a fuller, more authentic way. Energy attracts like energy. It allows you to lean on other people with similar energy in a healthy manner.

Where are your eyes — on the dream you are pursuing or on things that do not serve you? If you are doing something yet you are constantly worrying about the possible outcome, the worst-case scenario, what other people are doing, the haters that will never have anything good to say, then that means your attention is divided. And divided attention will only drive you off course.
Join me today as we talk about why it’s so important to put on blinders when pursuing your dreams and goals. Success is a matter of consistent effort and putting one hoof before the other. So keep those eyes straight and locked on the future you want to build for yourself.
Listen to this episode to find out how to empower your life and self through self-discovery!
Here are some power takeaways from today’s conversation:
Episode Highlights:
[02:27] Putting Your Blinders On
What do you think “putting your blinders on” means?
Horses usually wear blinders so they won’t get distracted by other things. You need to put your blinders on when you have dreams and goals. Surround yourself with people who will support you.
[06:43] Putting Blinders On Your Personal and Professional Life
Putting your blinders on can apply to your personal and professional life. With personal relationships, it may mean letting something or someone go. Be willing to release your expectations of someone else and move forward with love and care.
Avoid getting caught up in what other people are doing. Focus on what matters most. Choose to provide value to other people and the world. Make the right decisions instead of constantly worrying.
[15:28] Keep Your Joy
Wallowing in anger and negative emotions is a waste of time and energy. Redirect that into the things that truly matter to you. Do not let anything steal your joy. Just keep going and be consistent. You can become a better person for others when you learn to put your blinders on.

Many of us delegate the duty of making ourselves happy to the world. When we’re unhappy, we blame other people or our situation — but have you ever thought that maybe you are the one making yourself unhappy? Are you unhappy because of something that happened or is unhappiness a response that you can control?
Join me today as we talk about how you can take responsibility for your own happiness. Once you realize that you are responsible for your happiness, nothing in the world will ever have the power to make you unhappy again.
Listen to this episode to find out how you can start taking your happiness into your own hands and why it’s imperative as entrepreneurs that we make it a priority.
Here are some power takeaways from today’s conversation:
Episode Highlights:
[03:30] Taking Responsibility for Your Happiness
It’s obvious when people aren’t taking responsibility for their happiness. A telltale sign is that they are constantly upset about their insecurities or frustrations. You should find joy in your journey — and that’s why the small victories matter.
You cannot control everything but you can control your emotions. Appreciate the things you have. Give yourself the space and time to be disappointed and sad, but accept it and move forward.
[11:15] Getting Un-triggered
Think about what your triggers are. They might be something as simple as spilling coffee or bigger, like negative news. You’ve got to learn how to get yourself out of that triggered state. Wallowing in these triggers can cause long periods of unhappiness.
[18:23] Find What Makes You Happy
Remember that you can be happy — and that you deserve to be happy. You can start by spending more time on your hobbies or finding a new one. It’s your responsibility to find what makes you happy. Unless you find the things that bring you joy, you’ll be stuck in bad days.

We’ve all had a nightmare boss. We might even be the nightmare boss ourselves and not realize it! It’s time we dig deep and really think about what we want in a leader. I’ll have you thinking twice about your leaders — or about your own leadership! — after listening to this podcast.
If only there was a guidebook on how to be a good leader. Team members may have feedback but no idea what to do with it. Bosses themselves may feel lost without a point of reference. Lucky for you, I’ve got the next best thing!
Join me today as I cover all things leadership. I’ll help leaders, people working under a leader, and leaders-to-be all put the role into a different perspective. If you want tips on how to be a leader with integrity, I’ve got you covered. Listen to this episode where I dive deep into the 12 Rules of Leadership!
Here are some power takeaways from today’s conversation:
Episode Highlights:
[02:54] Leading with Humility
When Katie was wondering how she could level up her own leadership, she learned about the 12 Rules of Leadership in a training session. The first two rules revolve around humility; leaders aren’t any more important than their team members just because they've achieved a title.
Listen to the full episode for Katie’s deep dive into each of the 12 Rules of Leadership!
[12:41] Learning to Listen
As a leader, you’re expected to teach, advise, and help your team, but it’s just as important to listen. Sometimes, people just need to be heard and understood.
It’s important to not only treat your team with respect but to be a leader deserving of theirs. Own up to your mistakes and learn from them; give credit where to your team where it is due — understand and you will be understood.
[23:47] Being There for Your Team
Lead by example. You can’t just tell people to work on things that you don't want to work on — otherwise, you’re not leading; you’re shouting out orders.
Being there for your team also means helping them create boundaries and strike a work-life balance. Build human connections with them, not just the typical work relationship.
[28:26] You Are the Boss
Trust in yourself. Trust in your ability to make swift, sound decisions — but don’t stop there. When things don’t go as planned, analyze the situation and see what could have been done better.
Remember that you are a leader for a reason. You don't have to make all the right decisions all the time, but without your skills and judgment, you wouldn’t be in that position in the first place. Put them to good use and get the job done.

We’ve all known the saying, “Fake it ‘til you make it,” but should we really be faking anything? I I say “no,” I’m not here for that. There’s nothing to fake if we know where we are going, who we want to become, and we strive to live authentically. It’s high time we rethink our mantras because the things we tell ourselves dictate our reality. I assure you that you won’t have to fake anything after listening to this podcast.
So, what does being authentic even mean? How do you show up as yourself when it’s so easy to question your whole being? You might not know it yet but your story and journey can give value to others. It may feel scary to share the more personal details of your life but, sometimes, it’s the private stories that resonate with people.
Join me today as I dispel the notion of faking it ‘til you make it and discuss why you shouldn’t be saying it anymore. I also dive into why you should share your journey and show up as your true self online. If you want tips on how to ride out the low moments, I’ve got you covered. Listen to this episode if you want to start showing up more authentically.
Here are some power takeaways from today’s conversation:
Episode Highlights:
[00:34] Don’t Fake It ‘Til You Make It
Stop “faking it ‘til you make it.” Instead, show up authentically. Faking it could really mean that you don’t believe in yourself deep down. What we say to ourselves matters because we can unknowingly amplify these thoughts, especially if they are negative.
[03:59] Provide Value by Showing Up and Sharing Your Journey
Some people doubt themselves more quickly than others. There will be times when you don’t feel confident and that’s okay. Sharing your journey can inspire other people to start their own journeys as well. Remember to always provide value to others.
[09:06] How to Live Authentically and Keep Going
Dig deep into what your core identity is. When other people tell you about how you’ve made an impact on their lives, keep going — this is proof that whatever you’re doing is working and that you’re showing up authentically.
If you’re feeling down, it might help to try to lift somebody else up. We tend to internalize the things we teach, so if you help someone when you’re struggling, you might start to feel better about yourself as well.

Full disclosure: I have used every CBD product under the sun, and I generally use it for anxiety, and sometimes, pain. But the CBD oils I've tried before have either done absolutely nothing for me, or they got me high at inappropriate times.
Finally, when I got hold of Match Canna’s oil and used it for my anxiety attack, I couldn’t tell you how much relief I got from it (minus the highs!) that I knew I just had to bring the makers on the show today.
Founded by Maggy Troup and Christina Rivera, Match Canna was born as a “true collaboration of minds, spirits, and souls.” Whether you’re experiencing chronic pain, suffering from stress and anxiety, or you just need some good night’s sleep, find out how Match Canna’s consciously sourced and handcrafted products can alleviate pain, help you find relief, and impact your life.
Maggy and Christina also share their recipe for a beautiful, authentic friendship and business partnership!
Here are some power takeaways from today’s conversation:
Episode Highlights:
[10:37] The Birth of Match Canna
Match Canna originated when Maggy’s brother Charles, who was Christina’s then-boyfriend and now husband, was experiencing debilitating back pain. After four months of research, Christina created a natural product that instantly gave Charles relief. As a massage therapist, Maggy then started incorporating it with her clients.
Match Canna’s products offer a wide range of health benefits such as reducing inflammation, pain, spasms, skin issues, and anxiety.
[19:21] An Overview of the Products
Christina has infused botanicals into a magical recipe of oils that targets pain and inflammation. It smells great and it works well.
Match Canna offers both topical and sublingual products including, the full-spectrum and a THC-free product. The sublingual oils, the THC-free, as well as the full-spectrum, have different uses, but they all target chronic systemic pain, inflammation, and anxiety.
[28:44] Choosing the Right Product to Use
Choosing the right product is a big starting point because there are so many mislabeled products out there. Often people will be using a product that has higher amounts of THC than is actually legal. But because of the lax regulations on the CBD market, they are getting away with it.
The key is HOW you take it, WHEN you take it, and WHAT FOR because that's going to make a huge difference. THC, for instance, can exacerbate anxiety. And to be considered a CBD product in the United States, it has to have 0.3% THC or less.

Ready to get the thing that you want the most? Well, I’ve got to be honest with you. It takes grit, passion, dedication, resilience, and 100% hard work to get to the next level – and the level after next.
While it may sound scary, it doesn’t have to be. Fear only exists when you don’t have enough confidence in your toolkit and when you’re not in the best state – physically, emotionally, and mentally. And it’s all a matter of figuring out our next best steps and stacking good habits while breaking the bad ones.
Join me today as I talk about how you can take full responsibility for your success, your plans, and your dreams. You’ve got to put in the time and effort to get the results you want – and listening to this episode is definitely a great start!
Here are some power takeaways from today’s conversation:
Episode Highlights:
[05:42] Figuring Out Your Next Best Step
A lot of people make a lot of excuses as to why they can’t achieve what they want to achieve, whether in business or in life. Excuses are everywhere. But how come other people are able to overcome those excuses and use those as fuel?Anybody can make anything happen, if only they choose to put their mind to it. Circumstance means nothing. Whether you were in a horrible divorce, you’re a single parent, or you have to work multiple jobs, you have to make that choice to take full responsibility for your future.
[09:33] Do You See the Next Step?
It’s easy to get overwhelmed by all the steps you need to take to get to where you want to be. But just focus on the next step. The question, however, is do you see that next step?
Take time to figure out what that next step is. Then once you get to it, take the next one, and then the next one, and so on – until you get there.
[10:40 ] Getting Your State in Check
When your physical/mental state is messed up and you probably didn't get enough sleep last night, obviously, your brain won't work correctly. One of the first steps you need to do is to figure out how to get your physical and mental state in check and focus on those things like it’s your job.
[18:15] The Idea of Habit Stacking
Based on James Clear’s book, Atomic Habits, the idea of habit stacking, as the name suggests, is to stack one habit after another. This helps you get your routine down because it takes a while for something to become a habit. Our actions are driven by our habits, therefore, you also need to be able to recognize what bad habits you need to break and figure out ways to fix them.

Do you ever feel like there’s something more that you want to do? Whether it's opening up a new line of income, investing in something, starting a business, or even just learning a new hobby, it’s never too late to pursue it. And with the world that we have right now and what we have at our fingertips, going BIG is more possible than ever!
If you’re ready to step to the next level, then this podcast is for you. Each week, I’m going to share tips and tricks to help you get where you want to go or accomplish what you want to achieve.
Today, I’m going to share my personal journey, going through anxiety and depression, getting diagnosed with ADHD (which is a true superpower by the way!), making a decision to become the best version of myself, and most importantly, taking action.
I hope to inspire you to take ownership and control of your life. It's not just about going to that next level – it's about all the levels above it that you may not even know about yet.
Here are some power takeaways from today’s conversation:
Episode Highlights:
[10:16] Advocate for Yourself!
The more you learn about yourself, the more you want to learn about yourself. And if everybody would just try to become the best version of themselves, then we would be living in heaven on earth.
In moments when you think you can't or don't know how to create your own plan, don’t be afraid to reach out for help in creating that plan. The only scary part is that moment of reaching out, but once you get past it, you realize it was only fear of something that never actually existed. Ninety-eight percent of fear is simply inaction, and so, it's about getting into that action.
[13:05] ADHD is a Superpower!
For many of us who have been diagnosed with ADHD, we tend to focus on our weaknesses. Instead of doing that, begin looking at what strengths you have. When you are able to zone in on your strengths, it's going to help you focus on not only how to fix your weaknesses, but also utilize those strengths. Then you’ll be able to figure out what your next steps will be and how you can show up for yourself and for other people. Recognizing your strengths is going to open up a whole world of opportunity.
[23:42] Take Full Responsibility for Your Actions and Decisions
In business and in life, and in everything else, we have the tendency to take the easy way out, and that includes blaming other people for our failures. Take ownership of every task that you attend to every day, how well you do it, and whether you're putting full energy into it or not. If you want to go to the next level or the level after next, you have to take full and complete responsibility for everything.
