We are a group of 4 teens passionate about growth. Our aim with the podcast is to providing changemakers a toolbox to navigate the evolving landscape of tech and mindsets. We bring experts from top companies to give insight on their biggest life lessons, and the latest technological advancements!
In our sixth episode, we are joined by Dr Gregory Wohl. He is the co-director of the iBiomed Program at McMaster University and is doing cool research related to electrical stimulation of bone to improve bone repair processes and piezoelectric materials for implants. We talk about his research, ups in down during post secondary, mental health, finding our passions, and more!
In our fifth episode, we are joined by Darien Schettler, an engineer at VMware, experienced in both biology and artificial intelligence. We talk about work environments/culture, work life balance, opportunities for growth, intersection of artificial intelligence and biology, and more.
In our fourth episode, we are joined by Heidi Cuppari and Niki Faldemolaei. They both are currently working closely together to launch island 17, a DAO dedicated to gamifying the UN’s sustainable development goals. Heidi’s background is in sustainable financing and impact investing, but currently is dedicating her time to youth entrepreneurship. Niki is the director of Exo Economy DAO, with the aim to tokenize the global economy.
In this episode, we discuss how Damian Matheson came to dedicate his time to helping young people make more informed decisions about their futures. Damian is a Director at The Knowledge Society (TKS). TKS is designed to train young people to maximize their ability to make an impact in the world.
Before TKS, Damian went into law, then pivoted after joining Ryerson's Digital Specialization Program. His project turned into a company called foodstory, then he eventually joined MyBlueprint, a platform dedicated to career and life planning resources that support over 1 million students each year in learning more about who they are, what they are interested in, and what options are available to them after high school.
Damian shares his journey of shifting his identity from law to tech and startups, to joining TKS. Tune in to hear about actionable ways to make failure the least path of resistance, and creating a healthy identity for yourself.
