"What story did I tell myself that created that reaction?"
Nick Nighbor and Regina Woods speak about a recent conversation with a client. It is essential to take a step back and listen to the story you're telling yourself. You must ask yourself, "Is this true? Is this real?" People tend to react to the stories they carry with them daily, even when they aren't even aware of them. The story this client carried clouded their judgment. Their feedback was getting lost in their inner dialogue.
Regina's two-word purpose statement is "illuminating essence." Regina used her purpose to illuminate the essence of this situation and help the client realize that to do something differently, you need to see something differently, and that's where 100% responsibility takes place.

One thing is for sure if you're serious about hiring, developing, and retaining top talent, you cannot dismiss it as nonsense.
When is quiet quitting evidence of a toxic culture? When is quiet quitting a cry for help?
When is quiet quitting an opportunity to put issues on the table?
Proactive leaders understand that all of the buzz about quiet quitting is an opportunity to check in with your team. Be prepared for an open and honest conversation. Leaders get comfortable with being uncomfortable. Quiet quitting could be information that will help you examine your culture and the people on your team.
