That drive to chase their dreams! Regardless of what field they may be in, whether it be fashion, entertainment, or entrepreneurship, they all inspire me in some kind of way. We share our stories and what gems we have learned throughout our pursuit of success. My goal is to share those gems with anyone who is INENTIONALLY chasing their dreams and pick up some knowledge for myself along the way! A cheat code of sorts! SOUND GOOD? Okay picture this. After killing it in high school in both academics and athletics your sights are set on playing in the NFL and graduating as an engineer. But of course you know what they say. Telling God your plans is the easiest way to make Him laugh. This was the case for Ramon Smothers. This once engineer now turned designer is leaving his legacy in a different way. We sit down and talk about his upbringing and the pressures that come with trying to be great and leave a mark for a family. He talks about overcoming anxiety and depression in the face of adversity. And betting on himself by not only becoming a life coach and author, but also making a smash in the fashion industry with his brand Legacy Lapels. Empowering men with style. As time has passed and I look on my own journey it’s imperative that we talk about this. We touch on everything from the culture surrounding male mental health, the benefits of having these uncomfortable conversations, and changing the narrative. What’s good family?! It’s been a minute since I chatted with you all directly. Usually I’m on here with a guest and they’re dropping gems. But I thought it was time to switch it up a bit, make things a little more intimate, and just give you some insight on few of the things that I’ve been thinking about lately. These conversations definitely allowed me to see different areas of my life, that I need to improve on. I’ve become more thoughtful, more calculated, more intentional and I would honestly say more understanding and caring. I thought I would share one idea with you that has really impacted my life. TAKE THE SHOT!! Three simple words that are so powerful. I want to discuss the power of adopting those words to your mindset and how “dangerous” of a person you become when you don’t leave anything on the table. When you step outside of your comfort zone for the things, dreams, and goals that you want. And how sometimes the blessings that you’ve been praying for are right on the other side of you taking that shot. I keep it short and sweet on this one! So let’s get into it!

What’s up y’all! And just like that! We’re back and this one, WE GET DEEP. In this episode, I’d like y’all to meet a good friend of mine and very talented artist Rashad Thomas (@yafavoritenigga). Better yet let’s use his artistry name, Damiere. Now don’t let the IG name fool you. Even though that’s a pretty bold statement to make, my guy hasn’t always been that confident. Having the raw talent to rap has been a gift of his for as long as I can remember but the confidence to get on stage or on tracks, not so much. Yo yo yo!! Season 2 of the Success Ain’t Random Podcast has officially started and you know we had to kick things off with a banger this week!
