The chief religious figure in the world during the Tribulation years is identified in Scripture as the False Prophet or the second beast. The first beast is the Antichrist. Both will be motivated by Satan.

During the Great Tribulation God allows and even orders Satan, Lucifer, Apollyon, Abaddon, the devil or whatever you care to call him, to torment the unbeliever left on the earth.
The seventh Seal releases the 7 trumpet Judgments and the 7 vial judgments with the vial judgment flowing out of the seventh trumpet and coming in rapid succession just before Christ's return.
We cannot take credit for our salvation. Our salvation is a free gift through grace. Jesus deserves all the credit.
