It's something that we in our technology are focused on helping our customers look at, how much exposure do I have to privacy concerns? It's one of the reasons why people are considering server-side is to have more control and security over what data is transferred in what ways. June 10 2021: Join the conversation with Jeremy Moran of Quadratic about building robust identities with CDPs, the new Adobe SDK, and more!
We have a lot of clients across a lot of different industries. The problems that we always run into come to light downstream. I think about data flow from upstream to downstream, and the data we're collecting impacts the decisions that are being made. And more often than not the calls we get are, "We're looking at our internal reporting systems, our sales, and our leads. It's just not even remotely close to what we're capturing in web analytics." We have to have a conversation sometimes to say, "Hey, those two are never going to be 1:1, that's just not how the technology works." But sometimes it really is a significant gap that we need to look into. But, it always comes to light when it's a little too late. And that's why when we talk about pain points, we try to focus upstream.
