I am excited to start a new series of videos where I will be discussing anarchy. Anarchy means no rulers. Not no rules. I hope that I will inspire people to look deeper into government and figure out if anarchy makes more sense for the human race. I hope to hear from you.

This week I am performing a song I wrote with my friend Dustin Taylor. It's a love song and I think it has some fantasy elements. I hope you enjoy it.
Lyrics:
Well it must've been a dream when I looked in your eyes it took me by surprise and made me recognize that my love for you will not fade away it must've been a dream but it's here to stay
Well it must've been the way you looked the way that you walk the way you smile or the way you talk or the way the light dances off your face well it must've been our loving moments of sweet embrace well it must've been you but it must've been you
Our love is like a song with a sweet Melody it switched me off my feet and then sets me free and my love for you will not fade away it must've been a dream but it's here to stay
Reapeat chorus
Well it must've been a dream when I looked in your eyes it took me by surprise but made me recognize our love

I think the blues is a great mode for storytelling, so I wrote a blue song for the theme this week. I hope you like it. I'll probably be riding blue songs a lot in the weeks to come as I am now playing with a blues band.

This week I started playing some blues with some guys. I told him I wanted to try to write some blues music. Here's my first attempt. I hope you like it.

I wrote this song with my songwriting partner (Dustin Taylor) when we were in highschool. It definitely fits this weeks theme of Retry. I hope you enjoy it.

This week I chose a song that I wrote with my sister when we were very young. It definitely fits this week's theme of Heart Break. I hope you enjoy it. Thanks.

This week we were given the theme of Quiet Desert. I am trying to put forth an original song each week, but alas my vast arsenal is void of anything relating to quiet deserts. Lol. But damn if I wasn’t inspired, so I wrote something. I hope you like it. It’s called ‘Desert Lullaby’.

I wrote this song with my best friend Dustin Taylor when we were 15 years old. I was definitely trying to make a statement. I’ll let the song speak for itself. I hope you enjoy it.
Lyrics
Vrs 1
I knew a girl from small Missouri Town
Well, she was young and no one knew her secret
Her older brother's used to play a game with her
She didn't want to play the game, but they made her play
Chorus
They scared her to death
And they told her it wasn't wrong
They made her do
Nothing a little girl should have to do
And told her she would go to hell if she told anyone
And she didn't know no better because she was way too young
Vrs 2
Well the years went by and she started to figure out that the game made her cry and there was something wrong about it.
Vrs 3
Well the girl from the small Missouri Town
She told her mom about all the fooling around
The sad enough her daddy didn't believe a thing she said
She tried to make him believe but he just turned his head, and she said
Chorus
They scared me to death
And they told me it wasn't wrong
They made me do nothing a little girl should have to do
And said I would go to hell if I told anyone
And I didn't know no better because I was way too young
Way too young...

I enjoy making cover videos, but I’ve always been a little hesitant of posting them on platforms that I can generate revenue from. This is because half the song’s revenue goes to the song writing. So I don’t want someone knocking on my door 10 years from now with their hand out. I really don’t believe that would happen, but you never know. My solution is fairly simple. Burn your covers. I invite you to join me. I’m hoping to make this a weekly thing, but I just kind of want to dip my toes in it for a minute or two before I commit to it. I watch American Idol. I know, I know. LOL. Recently, a contestant sang this song by Demi Lovato, and I realized I really enjoyed the song, so I learned it. At least my own version of it. So here it is. I plan on posting some sort of cover every week, and if you want to participate just do the same and burn your covers, then put your link below, and we can help Hive with inflation together.

This weeks theme was family, so I decided to play a song I wrote with my brother. I hope you like it.
Lyrics
Vrs 1
I've been holding on to something even when nothing's at my back
Trying to get loose of all my values, always holding on to someone else's sack
Chorus
Praying to a different God
Using no one else's words
I won't fall down on my knees
I lift my legs up from the dirt
And if you ever had the time
Would you ever use that line
The one that made me fall
Vrs 2
I keep chasing all the shadows. I'll write a book about it someday
Who we are, acting up like nothing matters, oh
Who are we to say? Who are we to say?
Repeat chorus
Outro
In love with you... x4

This week’s theme was ‘Toys’, and I wasn’t really inspired to write a song about toys, but then I started thinking. I had just the song. I realized I had written one of my original songs on a toy guitar. It’s called ‘Ambulance Blues’. I am posting this video years after writing it—on the same guitar I wrote it on; my son’s toy guitar. Since then I have made this song one of my staples of what I play and I’ve recorded it a few times. I’m also posting the original video of me playing the song right after I wrote it on the same toy guitar. I’m also including a version I created this year with full production (well as close as my broke a$$ can get— Garage Band. Lol). I thought it would be cool for you to see the evolution of a song. The song is still evolving. But its roots of being created on a toy fall in line with this week’s theme. I hope you enjoy it.
Lyrics:
Verse 1
Holding me up while Breaking Me Down will never be okay
I don't know why I'm waiting around when you're never going to stay
Searching for Clues with ambulance Blues is getting in the way
And I don't know why I'm waiting to die when Heaven's Blown Away
Chorus
But I've been overdue
And it's not about you
And I've been used to it
But you're not used to it
And you've been starry-eyed
And I've been mystified
But now I'm not long for this world
So just take me and let me go
So just take me and let me go
Verse 2
Painting me black won't stop the attack it's moved on to my brain
Sorting through lies won't immobilize this cancer or this pain
You need to go I'm making it so you're not the one to blame
Holding you down won't turn this around so get out of the rain
Chorus
But I've been overdue
And it's not about you
And I've been used to it
But you're not used to it
And you've been starry-eyed
And I've been mystified
But now I'm not long for this world
So just take me and let me go
Bridge
Deaths knocking at the door
So what you waiting for
Do you want to see me beg you not to go
I can see it in your eyes and I know it's on your mind
So just take me and let me go
So just take me and let me go
So just take me and let me go

This video is for Hive Open Mic Week 52. The song is called Debemos Tomarlo. I’ve never written a song in Spanish because I don’t know Spanish. LOL. But I just found this community and wanted to participate. So, I thought I’d try to write a song in Spanish. The writing topic was freedom, and being an anarchist I definitely had something to say about that. Here’s my attempt at writing a song in Spanish. Please let me know if any of what I was trying to deliver actually comes through. Thank you.
Lyrics
Debemos tomarlo.
Debemos tomarlo.
El universo tiene su propia ley natural. Así que vive por la libertad. Viva por la verdad.
Debemos tomarlo.
Debemos tomarlo.

I wrote this poem in my twenties. I'm now in my fourties. It's funny how something can travel through time to become a song so much later. another funny thing about this song is that it took me about a half an hour to conceive and record the video. It just kind of poured out.
Original Poem
Blood, Bones, and Fish
The fish I take from pond are silver
I rake them cold to make them quiver
I shake them bold to drown a sliver
Spilled on the coffee table of my soul.
Broken buttons jam my memory box
I hit select, but my motion doesn’t stop
Quaking and shaking my vacant morality
Into an inverse spirituality that causes
Me to laugh uncontrollably
Into the mouth of my venerability
Like a caged octopus in heat
I flail my limbs at rapid speed
And heed no one else’s need
Because I’m a victim of gentility
A willing servant on his steed
Gallivanting toward whatever
Lies untouched by my attention;
And my lust is calling me
To feed on unproductive things.
The deer I slay in past are red
I break their bones to make my bed
Their meat is neat upon my sheet
Their sinews wrap around my feet.
