Recording this podcast in my car parked on a street in the Lower East Side of Manhattan in the middle of a torrential rainstorm.
I'm ok now. :) I'm home safe. Saw the show and afterwards had some really awesome pork dumplings at this hole-in-the-wall Chinese takeout place. 10 dumplings for just $2! OMG! Well, I was in Chinatown, so I guess it's not too much of a surprise... anyway :)

So I recorded this while driving to Barnes & Noble, so you'll hear the car in the background, but it isn't too bad.
Woo! I'm now listed in iTunes, Podcastalley, and Podcasts.net. I submitted the Podcast to iTunes in the evening and I was totally shocked when iTunes listed me the morning! I had heard horror stories of people having to wait 2-3 weeks, so I kind of expected it to take that long (and hoping that by then, I'll have about 2-3 episodes too, so that first podcast won't be your first impression, ha!).
Anyways, in this podcast, I talk about seeing Glengarry Glen Ross on Broadway. Enjoy!

Marc Shaiman (Hairspray, South Park) vs. Michael John LaChiusa (The Wild Party, Marie Christine)
So first LaChiusa writes an article for the newsletter of the Metropolitan Opera ("the Met") about the "death" of Musical Theatre. Shaiman then posts a very bitchy rebuttal on Talkin' Broadway (which unfortunately is no longer available as posts expire after a few days), which then spawns a hilarious thread with all the other forumers joining in. I didn't mention it in the podcast because I just got this link now, but this big hubbub even caught the attention of the New York Times (free subscription required) and Variety (paid subscription required).
