This week we’re talking storytelling through photography with Fiona Battersby! Fiona started her photography business just 3 years ago, but is already making a name for herself!
Fiona started her storytelling career in musical theater in high school and then went to the University of Memphis. She then moved to Nashville and in 2019 started making photography her full-time job. Her focus is weddings, proposals, and couples photos, but she isn’t afraid to try something new for a client!
In this episode, Fiona tells us why she thinks photographs are important and should be printed, a broken nose at a wedding, and my own experience being on the other side of her lens!

Sarah Pearce is a videographer, editor, and great friend.
We went to the same university, but we didn't meet until years after I graduated as co-workers at Bramblett Group in Henderson, TN. Of course, in this episode, we talk about our time there, videos with surprise giraffes, and me passing out on just her third day at work!
Sarah is now a freelance videographer in Nashville. She's shot several weddings and is also helping with the project "We are Nashville". She gives us a little taste of what a day in the life of a freelance videographer looks like and she shares some tips for anyone looking to start their own videography story.

It’s our first Friends and Family Episode! These episodes will be a little more laid back but have a lot more laughter! I’ll talk with friends and family, obviously, and we’ll tell some of our favorite stories, talk about our first memories of each other, reminisce on the good ol’ days, and by the end of the episode you’ll feel like you have two new friends!
This week Jacob Dowdy joins me! I’ve known Jacob since 2019 and now I can’t really remember a time in my life without him! We talk about our first time meeting at a Chick-fil-a, how the pandemic forced us to become experts in live streaming in just two days, and my love of chicken nuggets/strips!

Julia and I became friends while anchoring Good Morning West Tennessee together for 2 years! We both have left the broadcast world, for now, but I wanted to hear from a former fellow reporter/anchor on what it’s like to find and tell stories.
In our first episode, Julia talks about her specific approach to finding, writing, editing and ultimately telling a story. One of her biggest leads… gossip! We also reminisce on those early mornings and how we kept each other awake and laughing every morning from 5-7 while bringing the news to West Tennessee!
