PSJA Bear Family - We proudly present to you the Post-it Podcast. A space to connect with individuals who are making a difference in our campus, PSJA Early College High School. This journalistic exercise is produced by the Audio-Video Production students of the Bear News Network (BNN) and hosted by Students of Principles of Business Marketing and Finance. Both clubs are part of Career Technical Education and Business Professionals of America. The Bears News Network is a PSJA Early College High School Student Led Production under the direction of the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Independent School District - which serves the lower region of the Rio Grande Valley in the State of Texas.
Bears News Network is a club dedicated to showcasing all the great things happening at PSJA Early College High School. Under BNN, we produce the Post-it Podcast, The Weekly Beat, Senior-it-is, and many individual stories around our campus. In this episode, Kazzy and Bri introduce the production team and share their experiences as students on our campus.
Mr. Leija is the Audio Video Communications teacher at PSJA Early College High School. He is the mastermind behind the Bears News Network and leads a group of students who work tirelessly to keep our campus informed. In this episode, Kazzy and Bri learn about his background in television and the drive behind the program.
Mr. Cuevas has been teaching history for a solid 18 years at PSJA ECHS. He teaches AP World and AP European History. In this episode, Kazzy and Bri get the inside scoop on his love for teaching and history, and why Mr. Cuevas is such a hit with students around campus.
Jonah Goldberg serves as the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Communications and Championships at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. In this episode, Kazzy and Bri delve into the various communication strategies employed by UTRGV to maintain visibility for their Athletic Program.
Major Thomas Oaks has dedicated his life to service. He spent 17 years in the US Army and 28 years shaping young minds as an esteemed educator. In this episode, Kazzy and Bri got to learn about leadership, commitment, and mentorship.
Dr. Iris Guajardo is the Executive Officer for Secondary Schools at PSJA ISD. In this episode, Kazzy and Vale learn about the motivation that inspires Dr. Guajardo as a long-time educator, as well as how the opportunities at PSJA have impacted her life.
Mr. Alex Del Barrio is an experienced On-Air talent for CBS Sports and ESPN. During his 20-year career, he was also an announcer for WWE and the Harlem Globetrotters. Kazzy and Bri and the opportunity to learn how the industry works from an inside perspective.
In this episode, we were visited by Mr. Carlos Garcia, College Transition Director for PSJA ISD. Mr. Garcia spoke about all the opportunities our District offers to our students pursuing a higher education. Kazzy and Brianna learned about grants, scholarships, and college applications.

Welcome to the 3rd season of the Post-it Podcast. In this episode, Karina Duran, a collaborative leader on our campus, visited our studios to talk about her role in leading our teachers. Kazzy and Brianna learned about her work and her roots in Bear Country.
