Happy New Year , everyone ! I know it's been a lifetime since we've spoken . That's my fault , yall. Life hit me like a roller coaster . This year however, I'm coming back with so much more. New topics to discuss, New guests , and a whole new attitude. This episode was just to catch you up to speed on everything, and remind you guys I'm alive.
Today was my last day in New Orleans ! The girls and I had brunch ( the grits were trash and the bacon looked like the one you find in like the paper boxes , you know what I’m talking about ). Then we went to an Afro party and as usual I look like a baffoon compared to everyone and their fashion nova outfits and knotless braids . Then we went bar hopping and had dinner , and I have a new fairy god mother named Adore who sings gospel music drunk .
Today in this episode , your girl pretty much just stayed inside most of the day moping around, but then I realized I can’t let certain things have a hold on me , and you won’t like everyone . So , I found some really nice ladies who were also in New Orleans and we went bar hopping and to Bourbon St . Then I went to my first club and did the Cupid shuffle . I loves my people .
Hey y’all ! Today is day three of Nola and I’m officially on my owwwwwn ! 😭 it’s a long story but basically just Remember that everything happens for a reason and never feel bad for standing up for yourself . You not gonna get along with everybody . But anyway , I had some really nice breakfast and a nice white waitress gave me a list of fun things to do . Then I went to the museum of mint coining & jazz , the NOMA and a beautiful sculpture garden . I also was a ghost buster .
Hey y’all ! Today is day two of the trip , and first we went to brunch at the Ruby Slipped Cafe . Then we went on a steamboat and a white man with a calming voice told me about the history of Katrina and cargo boats . Later on at night we’re going on a ghost tour . I hope I’m taking to the underworld , please get me out of here !
Today is my first day in New Orleans , wooo ! I woke up around 2 in the morning and didn’t get to New Orleans around like 3 in the afternoon 😭 but my roommate and I walked around bourbon street and had po boys for the first time . A lot of loud drunk people like to stop and ask if you need help with your photos so I appreciate the love I never got as a child ! 😭
Hey y’all ! So I’m going to New Orleans for about a week and I’m going to try and do something different , where I’m doing like audio diaries of how my day was with my travel buddy. Of course they won’t be posted the same day I record them , gotta spread out the content 😭 but they’ll be like a week and some change apart . Wish me luck on becoming the final form Voodoo priestess 😎🔮! Also this is the season finale , when I come back it’s season 2 😭. WHOOOOOOOOOH ! I’ll do better at announcing things as time goes on .
Today in this episode , I interviewed my friend Yesenia bello who is a singer , Songwriter , actor and dancer . She moved here from Miami , Florida to New York where I live , and shares her story and what’s it like to leave where you’ve lived your whole life and ya be the courage to live in a new state , and to follow your dreams !
Rest In Peace to Robert Ross as known as Black Rob . He was an angel on earth and I hope that he is happier and is in peace now . His legacy will forever live on !
Besides the fooletry of the trial with Dereck Chauvin, this was just a little interlude and honor to DMX. Born Earl Simmons, he was born on December 18, 1970 he passed away this month at the White Plains Hospital, due to supposed COVID . He is a respected legend, who is now finally at peace with Aliyah and his grandmother. While of course people normally give their flowers when the artist is dead more than alive ( especially the labels, cough), he will be greatly remembered and respected. I will have the second half of this episode up soon !
Hey yall, thanks for taking me back lol after my last meltdown. In this episode ( part 1 ), we are talking about doing your own thing and not comparing yourself to other people . We also talked about the wholesome Christian man Derrick Jaxn himself and how hes trying to hold hands with his wife on his way to hell where he belongs.
Today I was walking in the park trying to clear my head of my constant disappointment as usual, and just wanted to do something a little different again today. Sort of like a stream of consciousness with the little brain cells I have left that haven't been burned alive by statistics. Hope yall week has been good!
