(I apologize that audio quality is so poor. Hopefully I can eventually change this, until then headphones help a little) In the past years the social media accounts seeking to expose the deepest darkest conspiracy theories can be found on every platform. The conversation in Christian circles is increasingly common. Even mothers are choosing to keep their ears and eyes closer to certain women who know the latest conspiracy theory.

What is our defense in why we’re dedicating ourself to active pursuit of these dark truths?

“The truth sets is free?”

But does it?

Does all truth equate to freedom?

In this podcast your host Alison takes a deep dive into biblical text in an attempt to illuminate that there is a dark truth and a light truth. There is a spiritual battle currently which reaches its roots all the way back to the garden of Eden when a tree of knowledge of good and evil opened our eyes to both light and dark truth.

Does knowledge of good and evil help us?

Does dark truth edify us?

Is there a treasure hunt for the next conspiracy theory benefiting us as believers?

In this podcast episode Alison approaches the questions:

✨ Can we judge other women in the body?

✨ How did Jesus treat women who were lost in their sin?

✨Should we be calling people out who sin?

🤍Your host Alison evokes the importance for women who teach and mentor the body to come up with creative ways to call out sin but more importantly open our hands and invite people in with the same grace and compassion that Jesus did.

🤍She shows Jesus did this by reviewing 3 main stories in the Bible where Jesus crosses roads with women who are lost in their sin.

🤍The women at the well- John 4:4-42 🤍The women caught in adultery- John 8:1-11 🤍Mary Magdalene and her alabaster jar- Matthew 26:7-16

Why do different people believe different things are sin?

Do we have to obey the 10 commandments?

Are we free from obeying them and why?

On this episode, part two of ‘Let’s talk about sin’ your host Alison attempts to define what sin truly is with the context of the entire Bible– From the 10 commandments all the way to present day.

With sin the enemy over promises and under delivers, sin has a multiplication effect in our life, ignored sin has a compound effect on us. We have to handle our sin, or it will handle us.

This is one of the least exciting things for me to talk about but the impression to handle this topic was very strong. I know this won’t be for everyone. But if this is for you, I hope it blesses you. Never be afraid to reach our for prayer.

John 3:6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit

Galatians 5:17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.

Luke 10:27 talks about loving God with all our heart, strength, soul and mind.

But what about when we only want to love God with one of the four? What if one of the four wheels on your car was completely crooked? You would need recalibration!

It’s time to get out of our comfort zone and love Christ in an area where it might not be as natural but it’s essential!

Your host Alison Propps reviews a chapter from her new book Protecting Your Child’s Sexual Integrirty, a chapter which reviews the gospel narrative as a story that paints a dance of authority rather than a golden ticket into heaven. She also uses this understanding of spiritual authority to explain her convictions on the famous scripture where Jesus introduces blasphemy of the holy spirit found in Matthew 12.

The problem in our life is sin, the problem that negatively effects our children is sin, the problem in our parenting journey is sin, and God is the only answer. Here, your host shares 3 stories from the Bible (Lot, David, Eli) that show how the sins of a parent effect their child.

You can’t tell your kids how to function in society, you can’t tell your kids to live a “right” way, you can only show them.

Romans 15:13 says “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit”

We know anything that is overflowing automatically will have liquid dripping over the side of it.

From time to time I’m going to share these deep well of spontaneous thoughts that the Lord has gifted me with underneath the title of “drippings”

On this episode of drippings I will be talking about God in the old testament. This episode is for you if you do not understand why God was the way he was in the Old Testament.

If you think: Why so many rules? Why would they straight up kill people who didn’t listen? God is very tyrannical in the old testimony.
