Are you ready to know way more about me than society makes you think that you should!?
Great. Then dive right on in friends!
I hopped off of social media last week for two main reasons that have to do with comparison.
This is my journey- may my experience help you in any way shape or form.
Big lesson to take away from this:
TAKE ACTION WHEN YOU START NOTICING YOURSELF FALLING INTO OLD THOUGHT PATTERNS
Let me know if you've had any similar experiences with this, if I learned anything it's that none of us are alone, in anything.

Enjoy this moment of stillness with me.
I hopped off of socials a couple weekends ago and learned that I wasn't incorporating stillness enough into my life. May this invite us all to incorporate stillness within our daily routines. Thank you for being on this journey. Listen to the other episodes for more on what I learned during that social media reset. :)

Lesson 2 of my weekend without social media!
Learn how to empathize deeper, separate from ego, and tap into gratitude as quickly as possible when s* goes wrong in your life.
All sparked from my experience with someone breaking into my car.

I took a little social media break over the weekend :)
Say what you will- but logging out completely is so necessary for humans who use social media as their business. If you don't understand the why behind this, give this episode a listen and see if you can empathize at all with the reasoning.
I always come back from social media breaks with lessons and this first one is:

I really wish someone would have told me this sooner... because I think it would have saved me months of anguish and sadness!
Hi! I'm back and have been wanting to record an episode on emotions for awhile. Simply put-these are MY 6 steps to getting yourself to feel all of your stuff so that you may LEVEL UP. Listen in, let me know your thoughts, let me know your experiences. I hope to write and record more for ya soon. :) Life's been bananas, so I have A LOT of content haha
REMINDER- If your emotions are too heavy for you to process alone, call a therapist/doctor/counselor/licensed professional to help you move through them. That is why they are there! You are loved. You are important.

Re-releasing this episode because... what good is it going to serve anyone if it remains in my drafts. Also- I am healed enough again to share it I think.
"It's bananas that we are able to sit in the same room together, let alone be talking about gratitude."
Welcome to the first public conversation after 2.5 years, with the person who was truly my best friend for 10.5 years.
Listen in to how Jake & I understand gratitude now within the context of our past. He also shares some of the other struggles throughout life that have sunk him into deeper gratitude, his journey to consciousness and present living, and expands on how our "darker moments" in life, once felt fully, are doors to massive opportunity.
If anyone has any questions about what the journey to healing this kind of relationship has been... please email conscious.choreo.co@gmail.com! We both believe in the ability to help others heal through a sharing of experiences. We would be happy to answer how we moved through some big emotions in a very honest and open manner.
We will tell more of our story one day for those who are left with questions...for now, focus on the gratitude ;)

Happy New Year!
I'm Brenda. And this is year 2 of Mindful Months. A space in which we jump into different themes and incorporate more awareness into our daily lives.
We begin the year- with a deep reflection of my 2021 and the places in which deep healing occurred. Our healing isn't linear and there's a good reason why we need to make peace with that idea. Listen in for why 🦋
This was extremely cathartic to write and speak. However much you listen to, for whatever reason you listen to it, thank you. May this be the best year yet. May we heal deeply and accept every part of our lives.

I'M BACK!
Ready to chat with you about all things fear this month. Ready to move through my fears and move toward the highest self I can get to know before the year is over. This episode was the first "blog post" I had ever written and it was what inspired this podcast so- enjoy a brief look at the way that I've managed to sit with my fear. This barely touches the surface on what I think about fear but it's a good start :) I am super excited for this month's guests and the chats that we are about to have on here. Let's lead with love and with less fear this month. You can do it. You know you can :) (Also didn't say this in the episode but a reminder that YOUR FEARS ARE NOT YOU. You are separate from them. This is why you can sit beside them. :))
Message if you wanna chit chat about this.

HAPPY NEW MONTH!
LET'S CELEBRATE. I just became a permanent resident of the United States and I celebrated often because it's one of the top 3 biggest moments of my life. It sparked this recognition and awareness that we do NOT celebrate life enough. So I invite you- to go big this month on your self celebrations. DAILY.
"I believe that we should be celebrating something DAILY. Does that sound exhausting? haha It might- and that's okay. Big transitions and new mindsets often do. but with consistent mindful practice- it turns into habit and no longer takes any extra energy. It ABSOLUTELY is work- but it's the best type of work because, it's the work that FILLs our cups and does not drain us. It sends our vibration up up & up. CELEBRATION. So let's break it down in the best way that I know how.
What is celebration? Why is it important to celebrate it? How can we celebrate daily/in all areas of our life?"
DIVE IN. SHARE YOUR CELEBRATIONS WITH ME PLEASE!. Sending you MASSIVE LOVE. (as per usual) CELEBRATING YOU FROM AFAR!
Brenda :)

"What feeling would you like to feel more of once you practice these things more consistently in your life?"
"Rejuvenated. The best feeling is waking up and not having 50 emails/texts. The other best feeling is that you can lay down at the end of the night and there's no pressing issues and that just allows me to completely shut down."
Billy Surges, owner of Surging Film & Theatrics & fellow Elmhurst grad, shares so many wonderful truths about his journey thus far with routine! From hardcore routine with sports to an unpredictable schedule in the arts, he has happily landed somewhere in the middle. He values and prioritizes certain things in his life like morning showers, bottle of water at night, and eating around 12 and that is all he has come to really need. He, like all of us, wants to continue growing and is looking to become more consistent with boundaries within work and that projects he takes on, and with setting time aside for his social life. He recognizes how these things all work together & can create a life in which you wake up feeling REJUVENATED.

"Routine is something I've always struggled with. I don't like having a set schedule, but in the professional sphere, especially with being in school and within law, you do really have to stick to deadlines.. I think for me, I would like to have more consistency with a good sleep schedule. I operate better when I have time to wake up in the morning."
Max, law student & lover of the arts and traveling, shares with us his truths about routine thus far in his life. He recognizes that he does not enjoy having a set schedule but that there are certain habits he wants to create in order to live a more well rounded life. One of those being a good sleep schedule in order to take on the following day. Max and I chat about how and why he got into law, what is important to him upon waking up in order to have a successful day, what he does in order to keep his body feeling good, and how he is diving into his new spiritual journey. "When I wake up, I'm honest with myself. Just as long as everything gets done by the end of the day, it doesn't matter when it gets done."- Victor (Curious Chicagoan, cyclist, and skateboarder)
So grateful to connect with high school friend Victor after like 10 years post graduation. Victor and I jive on not being too keen on having a set itinerary & having to stick to a set schedule. We really value flexibility and being extremely intentional with our energy and actions. We discuss having a new pup and how that has been different because it brings a new sense of routine to his life and how at the end of the day he just wants her to have the best life so he is willing to adapt and change. We discuss the joy in meeting locals and having the time to explore the unknowns while traveling when you don't have a SET routine in place. The importance of enjoying the process and just being a better version of who you were... daily.
So incredibly wonderful to connect with him & we wish him the BEST in life as he improves upon those skills and activities that we mention here in the episode. We all have goals & we are all taking different approaches to getting there and THAT is beautiful.

"I would feel guilty and felt like sh** not following that strict routine that I was following for the prep of my show. " - Raquel aka ChingonaFitness
We got to zoom it out with one of my favorite people (whom I've never met in real life) today and we discussed her journey with routine thus far in life. Raw and authentic Raquel! She comes from the fitness competition and preprofessional soccer world and has struggled to find what felt and feels good for her when it comes to routine. She is a soul who wants to make other peoples days better and who wants to get to know herself on a deeper level constantly. Listen in as we discuss & guide Raquel toward the activities that she can do more consistently in order to create more peace and growth within her daily life. It's all a process and we have to give ourselves GRACE.
They include:
For her mind: reading a few pages a day/journaling/meditating
For her body: going on a walk by herself
For her spirit: intentional tik tok/dancing
Let's help keep her accountable and continue cheering each other on as we find what is BEST for us in terms of routine, consistency, and growth.

"This mantra I've been really living by is: Your 9-5 is your job the way you make your money. But your 6-10 is where you get to build your empire." Josh
Josh and I go way back to college time and I am SO incredibly happy to hear his voice and see his face via zoom for this interview. Josh discusses what his journey with routine has been thus far and explains this happy medium place that has really worked for him. He introduces the idea of block scheduling and I JIVE WITH THIS IDEA so much. It is something I do- but never had put a name to. He also introduces that quote above and really allows us to remember that we are NOT our jobs- if our jobs aren't our purpose. That we have so much more to create post work if you are someone in a 9-5. Your empire can include and be ANYTHING. We also discuss how LOOKING for a job, is a job in itself and we need normalize and allow people to understand that. We discuss how, for him ROUTINE leads to CONSISTENCY which leads to HABIT. So he thrives from block scheduling routine as he shifts and transitions in and out of his many different roles.
One of my favorite things that he does as a part of his routine, is setting time aside to get CREATIVE daily. WE COULD ALL USE MORE OF THAT.
Josh, we are cheering you on from all over the world and we know that you are stepping into ALL form of success. :)

"Calmness."- Kelly Lamich
Kelly is a woman of various talents and a social media GURU! This content creator has a BEAUTIFUL morning routine that has taken her about 2 years to get DOWN. I love how conscious her routine is. It hits all of my consistency criteria and maybe one day I'll convert to her morning routine. ;) It does sound THAT good. You'll just have to hear it for yourself. Take what feels good, leave the rest. That's what we are all about here.
My favorite part is the waking up and doing what YOU love aspect. Reading/watching a show/etc. We really should LOOK FORWARD to waking up and starting our days doing what WE want.

Sebastian Keanu B Rivera is a musician, actor, athlete, and real life Troy Bolton who thrives off of routine.
"What does routine bring you?"- Brenda
"Happiness, for real for real. I feel stronger, smarter, like I'm invincible." Sebastian is young and ready to step into all of his success. Finally finding things that really work for him, he has been able to establish a routine for his life that makes him the BEST version of himself. "I think it's not about getting strong really...I want to be able to move. Mobility over strength and looks." is just one beautiful thing he shares in this episode. It is so exciting to see people finding what works for them at such a young age. I love that this next generation prioritizes themselves. We are looking at a beautiful future.
My favorite part of his routine is drinking water right when you wake up... I did that for a hot bit last year and it made me feel AMAZING. I am going to begin consistently incorporating that into my mornings in order to follow in Sebastian's footsteps. :)

I will insert a link for those who would like to read the translated captions at a later date!! Check back for that link right here in the bio.
“Yo defino que tambien mi felicidad optima fue la epoca que realmente convivi con mis hijos. Sobre todo en su edad temprana.” Bombon
“No me arrepiento de las travesuras que hice, me arrepiento de las travesuras que no hice. “ Bombón
En este episodio, platicamos con mi abuelito, Gabriel (que nosotros le decimos Bombon)! Se encuentran muchos mensajes bonitos durante estos 30 minutos. Platicamos sobre:
Muchas gracias a mi Bombon. Que bonita experiencia y recuerdo voy a tener siempre. Te quiero mucho. MORDIDAS!
I GOOGLE TRANSLATED THE FOLLOWING BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE TIME TODAY TO READ THROUGH THIS. SO... proceed with caution. lol I'll come edit this another day. But here's a VERY POORLY TRANSLATED overview.
“I define that my optimal happiness was also the time that I really lived with my children. Especially in his early age. "
“I do not regret the mischief I did, I regret the mischief I did not do. "Bombón
In this episode, we chat with my grandfather, Gabriel (we call him Bombon)! Many nice messages are found during these 30 minutes. We talk about:
Like living with the boys he teaches, it brings him a lot of happiness
As also meeting with his class brings him a lot of joy
How you feel you were and are very successful in maintaining strong connections with your siblings and family
The issue of being successful is that you have different successes in your career
The importance of a good team for a successful life
His experience when he was working as an engineer and how to get to know the different professions that surrounded him helped him a lot in his career
How watching your children grow brought you all the happiness in the world
How did we get to tell him, Bombón- for my mom- (that I didn't know)
The idea that it is difficult to see the moments that your children do not feel so successful but that it is important to remember that those moments are only moments and that more successful days are coming
The importance of savoring and enjoying EVERY beautiful moment because you never know what will happen
The understanding that although we are not together physically we are always in our thoughts and prayers
Many thanks to my Bombon. What a beautiful experience and I remember I will always have. I love you very much. BITES!

"What's so great is that YOU get to define what success means and if YOU'RE happy there, then everyone should be happy for you." Rogelio, a college student interested in animation and art, shares all in this episode. So many big changes and big "A HA" moments after being a part of the graduating class of 2020, amidst a pandemic. Rogelio highlights the importance of acceptance within family and success, and takes us through a bit of his journey being someone who is gay within his culture and family dynamic. He is so transparent about how the busy-ness of a high school student really leaves little time or room for fully understanding who you are on your own and celebrates the fact that he is now more confident and self assured now than he ever has been. WE CELEBRATE THIS WITH YOU ROGELIO! We speak on being non judgmental, communication, confidence, resolving issues, work environment, and art success. I am beyond proud of this human being and feel so honored to have been even a small part of his high school experience. YOU ARE RIGHT ON TRACK ROGELIO! A basketball player since he was 2/3 years old, explains to us how important family is to him, his views on success within his sport (which made my heart feel so full), explains how success has shifted within school during a pandemic, and encourages us to really think about our own growth mindset. Who do you seek validation from? Are you someone who consistently looks for outside approval? Why is that? When does it happen most? How secure are you?
This month of February we navigate instant gratification and outside validation within different aspects of our lives. We ask the questions that matter and we dive deeper into our subconscious and strive to become better at validating ourselves and our projects and accomplishments.
Excited to see how all our guests help us lean more into our authentic confidence and what happens when we do it consistently!

Spiritual & business mentor Mickaela McNatt joins us today to talk about all things gratitude. This bright soul takes us through her journey with gratitude and how she moved out of a "I have everything I need, I shouldn't ask for more" mindset that helped lead her to her most abundant and aligned life. She also shares how to authentically tap into the powers of gratitude for manifestation purposes, acknowledges the darker moments in life, and poses the big question to those resisting gratitude of "What do you have to lose?"
She is a light & we are SO grateful to share this sister's message! Send us questions and comments!
