Gritty faith is a passionate and persistent journey to find purpose and meaning through our relationship with Jesus. Pastor Tim is not a spiritual guru, religious fanatic, or mega church pastor. He is a just a regular guy who loves making the Word relative to your life so that you can flourish in faith.

Pastor Tim continues his series on leadership by focusing on the leadership style of Jesus which is servant leadership. Pastor Tim explains that Jesus teaches us that leaders must humble themselves and serve others in order to be great in the eyes of God. Servant leadership: changes our perspective on what it means to lead, shows us that those who are humble will be lifted up, and only works when a person submits to a higher authority.
Pastor Tim continues in his sermon series on leadership. Today we will be talking about finding someone to mentor, coach, and encourage you in life. As we journey through life we all need a guide who can see what we cannot and guide us to our destination.
Pastor Tim continues his sermon series on leadership in times of transition with King David to King Solomon. He will explore how Biblical leadership transforms people so that they can go on to do greater things than you. As leaders we must make way for new leaders, recognize that there is no such thing as a perfect leader, and set people up for success.
Pastor Tim starts his series on leadership transitions with Moses to Joshua. The main idea is that those who lead must intentionally pour into others in order to create a lasting legacy. In this sermon we'll unpack three lessons, the success of a leader is not measured by their accomplishments-- it is measured by the success of their successor, the leader steers the legacy, and lastly, a successful leader always has a wingman.
The resurrection is the most important event in human history and it changes everything! Through the resurrection we can be part of the family of God, transformed, and have hope in eternal life.
You can't always get what you want... but God gives us what we need. God exceeds our expectations through Jesus by giving us a new covenant, an eternal victory, and eternal life.
We are all a slave to something in this life but the Good News is that God’s law liberates us, guides our ways, and gives us life.
We are willing to give up on people but God doesn't. God loves you despite your mistakes; that is why He sent his Son Jesus.
In order to experience freedom and abundant life we must take extreme ownership of our mistakes. Owning our mistakes mends relationships, enables us to move forward, and frees us to focus on moving forward in life.
The Psalms are like the playlist of the early church. A good playlist will elicit thoughts, feels, and moods for the listener. Today we'll see how the words of Jesus and the words of the Psalmist can help us to overcome the worry we have in life.
We live in a world where love is transactional. As long as you continue to demonstrate your love to me than I will continue to love you in return. What if we have love all wrong? Jesus teaches us that love is not base on what others do. The only true source of love is God because God is love. To experience true love in this life is a foretaste of eternity.
The Bible teaches us that character is seen in the little things and it formed through the trials. Doing what’s right is rarely easy but it’s never regretted.
We find strength in the struggle. God is always building you even when it seems like He’s breaking you.
Jeremiah see's God's people living apart from God and it breaks his heart. Shouldn't our heart break for the things that breaks God's heart too? When people refuse to repent... When God's people reject the Word... The simple fact that some will not be saved... Or when we see people live a self-destructive pattern in their life. Yet as Christians we can be the transformation we want to see.
Jeremiah is called to an impossible task and is full of excuses yet he faithfully follows God's call for his life. Pastor Tim explain how we often make excuses and how if it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you’ll find an excuse.
Pursuing Jesus requires effort on our part and it will take us out of our comfort zone.
Have you had any interruptions this year? What if the interruptions are your work? God's love shines the brightest in the chaos. Jesus was an interruption for Mary, Joseph, the Wise men, and Shepherds and He continues to be for us who believe. If you truly believe that Jesus is the Son of God it places a demand on your life. This demand will interrupt how you live, behave, and act.
Following God’s plan is not without valleys, difficulties or challenges. It may seem as though we are in a crisis, but we need to remember that God’s plan remains even we can’t see it.
Joseph remained faithful even though the world around him spiraled into chaos. The woman he is engaged to is pregnant and he has to make a hard decision. Being faithful often means going beyond what is “right” and following God’s path for our life. Yet Joseph walks through the chaos and he is able to see and experience God’s blessings.
John the Baptist came to clear a path for the Messiah by offering a call to repentance. Throughout this sermon we'll learn that repentance is a gift, is needed for everyone, and when repentance is true, our relationship with God and others is restored by the blood of Jesus.
We can anticipate and hope for Jesus’ return but it’s really easy to get distracted. Busyness deceives us into thinking: that we'll always have enough time, that we'll always have time to get into shape spiritually, and causes us to pursue things that are insignificant. As Christians we hope and anticipate the coming of Christ by being alert, ready, and putting Christ above all else.
Small things can make a huge difference for God’s kingdom. We can learn to be people who are grateful rather than negative. Each one of us should look to the future with hope and comfort because God is at work.
