Special report! We came back a week early because this couldn't wait. Macmillian, one of the big 5 publishers will only allow libraries to buy one copy of their new ebook releases. They will lift that embargo after 8 weeks. This move to push readers to buy books instead of borrow may backfire. As self-publishing continues to grow, could this potentially lead to indie authors filling the void in the library market, which is often much harder to break into. But not impossible.
