When Guy was considering taking part in the Marathon des Sables, he found there was limited access to information about what it was like to run the toughest foot race on earth. That's why we've created this light-hearted podcast in the hope to give anyone an insight into what it was really like to run six marathons, in the Sahara Desert, in 55 degree heat.
This is the first episode in a series of three podcasts in which Paul will explore with Guy; what it was like to complete a five-day, 251km ultramarathon across endless sand dunes, rocky jebels and white-hot salt plains, carrying what you need to survive on your back.
