Buckle up for a nostalgia-fueled rollercoaster with our fun-loving hosts, Meg and Mike, whose chemistry is so electric, it could reboot a Tamagotchi.
Meg confesses to an alarming number of Webkins pets and pitches a compelling case for bringing back the Macarena to the forefront of culture. Mike feels old because Meg doesn’t know what a floppy disk is. He also thought it would be good to create some Dune Fan Fiction but it bombed so hard, he cut it from the episode.
You’re gonna wanna listen to the whole episode because it’s jam packed with silly riffs, songs, and all around merriment. Whether it’s when we improv the song, “Snackrifice” or rewrite the film, White Chicks, you’re gonna be chuckling’ yourself to sleep.

This week on the poddy we are joined by special guest, Jacob Noland, from Greenville, SC. Mike hops in first with an update on a major milestone in his comedy journey from this week. Mike and Jacob read and reflect on comments from the last few episodes of JTP. We learn Jacob’s passion for destroying the ocean. The guys chat all things comedy in his scene in Greenville/East Coast and the time Jacob was just trying to get a date on stage and it went horribly wrong.
We reminisce on his trip to New York City to do comedy for his birthday. You won’t be surprised to learn that his passion is getting to meet tons of new people. He found a great place to do it because comedy has all kinds of people. The guys dig into what brings fullness to their lives, and how all of life is joy and grief. We unpack what is making Jacob so sad but also how he makes it funny.
This weeks Supporter Spotlight was Michael Essig. Shout out to you Mike for helping make JTP happen!

“What if I can’t? What if I’m not funny?” I remember thinking, “Well, but I wouldn’t have to be that funny anyway. I would just have to be funny enough to buy a loaf of Wonder bread and a jar of Skippy peanut butter a week.” I could easily survive on that. It was all I ate in my parents’ house, anyway. And even if that’s all I had, it would be a better life than any other I could envision. I was more than happy to accept being a not-that-funny comedian over any other conceivable option. Without realizing it, of course, this attitude is the exact right way to start out in the world of comedy. Expect nothing. Accept anything.”
