In this episode Ashlen shares a devotional and discusses the importance of choosing to be pitiful or powerful but not both! Have you ever thrown yourself a pity party just because? Typically, we host pity parties because we lack direction and guidance. Take a listen to hear what Ashlen does before, after or even during her own self pity parties. During "Girl Chat", we discussed the topic of moving on and starting over and what not do to do during the process.

Cheers to the first episode of the "Hey Girl Hey, United" podcast! It's been a long time coming but Ashlen has finally stopped allowing her fear of looking "stupid" hold her back from doing what she is called to do. You know sometimes fear can hold you back from a lot of things in life. Often times, instead of overthinking, you really just have to start. In this episode Ashlen shares a devotional from on of her favorite daily devotional books, Starting Your Day Right, titled "Stand!". She also shares pieces of her personal story on how God has helped her stand during some of the toughest situations throughout her life, such as divorce and grief. Ashlen encourages girlfriends to always remember, a few bad days does not equate to a bad life.
