Using your favorite parts from different OSR systems is a great way t create the game you want to play. They are all so similar mechanically that you can add and change things to suit your needs and your table without breaking the game.

I take a look at OSR games that have caught my eye. There are a lot of great rules light games out there from talented creators that deserve more attention.
I've decided I want to create a low fantasy setting. Magic will be dangerous and rare and the races won't be as varied. No more goblins and orcs and dragons. This will be more sword and sorcery than dungeons and dragons.
I've decided that I'm leaving DnD 5e to explore other games. DnD just doesn't offer the tabletop experience I'm looking for anymore. When I discovered the OSR it opened my eyes to different ways of playing tabletop rpgs. Here's why.
