The Supreme Court is poised to consider President Trump’s argument that his prosecution should be barred by the doctrine of presidential immunity. Plus, the Supreme Court has announced that it will decide a tremendously important case with huge implications for special counsel Jack Smith’s prosecution of President Trump on the bogus charges related to January 6th and so-called election interference. It looks to me like there is a very good chance that the Court will rule that one of the statutes at the heart of the prosecution of President Trump can’t be used to criminalize conduct related to the events on January 6th at the Capitol.
Then, in our deep dive segment, Israel’s war to destroy Hamas and save Western civilization continues. But is the United States doing enough to support Israel and counter the threat posed by Hamas and its Iranian overlords? The answer is no. Biden-appointed special counsel Jack Smith indicted President Trump on a total of 41 different counts, including conspiracy to defraud the United States and the mishandling of classified documents. It’s all nonsense and legally baseless, of course. But we now know that, in the course of Smith’s investigations, he issued a search warrant to Twitter seeking vast quantities of information about Americans who interacted with Trump on Twitter. The details are shocking, but one thing is clear: The Democrats and the radical left view the law as nothing more than a weapon to wield against their political opponents.

Republicans lost big in the recent off-year elections in Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio. Given the disastrous and unpopular presidency of Joe Biden, being a Democrat isn’t exactly a badge of honor right now, so the losses are something of a surprise. Many moderate, preemptive surrender, RINO Republicans are doing what they always do, blaming the losses on the issue of abortion. But even a cursory look at the facts shows that the losses weren’t the result of Republicans running on the abortion issue. On the contrary, Republicans lost because they refused to fight on the abortion issue at all, waiving the white flag before the battle was even joined. It’s time for Republicans to grow a spine, lean into the culture war, present a bold vision based on life and freedom and American greatness, and aggressively call out the extremism and the lies of the radical-left death cult that is the Democrat party. It’s the only way to win elections and save our country.
Then, in our deep dive segment, I examine the state of Israel’s war against the evil that is Hamas and calls coming from the radical-left, pro-Palestinian crowd for a ceasefire. No ceasefire must be granted. Hamas is on the ropes. They need a ceasefire to survive. It is imperative that they be destroyed. The United States must strongly oppose all those who call for a ceasefire.

Louisiana Representative Mike Johnson has been elected the 56th Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives. Johnson, who received the unanimous backing of the Republican conference, is a strong conservative. He’s definitely a significant improvement over Kevin McCarthy. And there are very promising signs that he’ll be a great Speaker, capable of securing significant victories for the conservative cause. Perhaps the most promising sign is that the Democrats are apoplectic, calling Johnson an election denier and an extreme conservative. That sounds pretty good to me.

Iran aided and helped plan the crimes against humanity committed by Hamas, and so Iran is every bit as culpable as Hamas. Today, we will look evil in the face and declare it to be exactly that: evil. The United States national debt is massive and continues to grow, approaching the debt ceiling set by U.S. law. Hitting the debt ceiling won’t cause default – there is plenty of tax revenue coming in to service the debt, pay for the military, social security, medicare, and more. But Democrats are using the debt ceiling as a scare tactic, lying about the danger of a default in order to convince the public to let them continue their spending-and-borrowing spree. It’s not a shooting war, but it’s real war with serious consequences all the same. While squishy moderate Kevin McCarthy is not at all an ideal leader for the new House Republican majority, by denying him the Speaker’s gavel for 14 ballots, the conservatives extracted HUGE concessions that give them control of policy and investigations.
