Topic: The doctrine of God about praying

We were meant to understand that in the church of God if the we are praying and Obeying God's doctrine he will give ears to out prayers because he is delighted to hear such a righteous request.

1st Timothy 3:15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

This verse made us understand that, God has a household in heaven and he also have a household on Earth which is the house of God. Called the church of God.

The house of God on Earth is the church of the living God which is the pillar of Truth.

Isaiah 56:7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

It is called the house of prayer not the house where God will dwell. The house of God on Earth is the church.

1st Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

God dwell in the people serving him not in the temple made by hand. The church is a congregation of people who always pray to God.

We were meant to understand that....

Prayer is one thing and doctrine is another thing we need to pray to God in an orderly manner.

We should do things decently and orderly like..

If you are going to kneel down and pray,for the sake of others pull your shoes outside the temple.

We need to face towards the direction where the glory of God of Israel came from which is the east.it is not a doctrine but a discipline

The brethren in the church should also pray and connect with one mind.

Do not eat during gathering

When we are going to pray,we should have a pure heart and a pure tongue.we should not be bitter towards anyone.

Prayers are not meant to be repeated

We should pray without ceasing.most especially morning and night.

Finally,prayers is very important in our lives

because when we are in need and we call on God he will provide for us.

God can do what no man can do when we pray.

Prayers to God can do much in our fellow men's lives and also change our fellow men.

Our God is a merciful God.when you sin,come to him he will have mercy and forgive you of your iniquities.

When there is problem or difficulties in life and you call on God with faith without dought he will do what no man can do.because there is nothing bigger than God.

Even the Bible said we should caste our anxieties to him in prayers and supplications with Thanksgiving he will do what our heart is requesting for.

What is the content of prayer?

We were meant to understand that, prayer is making a request or asking form God not story telling.

Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Why Thanksgiving is included is because while making our request know we should also be thanking God in anticipation .

For our God will not forsake those who believe and trust in him.

When should we pray?

Pray day and night, we should pray non stop.

1st Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.

Why should we pray without ceasing?

2nd Timothy 1:3 I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;

We were meant to understand that it is very important before we sleep we should pray for God's protections over the night, and when wake in the morning we should thank God for and commit the new day into the hands of God.Because

Pray to God day and night is a good deeds to God.

2nd Timothy 2:22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

One who call upon the Lord with a pure heart their prayers will be heard and those that call upon the Lord with a filthy heart their prayers vwill not be heard.

1st Peter 3:12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

His ears are open to the prayers of the righteous. If our heart is wicked and even our prayers will not be heard.

Acts 24:16 And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.

It is important that our heart should be void of offense towards God and towards men.

We should not just pray we should have a pure heart.

How our heart can be pure

Our heart can be clean by hearing the word of God.

How can we keep the word of God in your heart when you heard it

1st Peter 1:22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

We can purify our heart by Obeying the word of God which is the truth.

Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

If our heart is pure and our mouth is pure when we pray God will listen and when we do the opposite God will not listen.

Proverbs 31:26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.

That is the right thing to do. The law of kindness should be our tongue when we want to open our mouth let's open it with wisdom. Praise be to God.

we were meant to understand that in the Bible,there is only one church which is the church of God.

John 11:52 And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.

we were meant to gather as one under the church of God.

Colossians 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

The church is the one body where he gather all the children of God

The bible made us understand that the one body where Christ called us is the Church of God.

Isaiah 43:7 Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

we were meant to understand that... that which is called by his name is also called by his glory and they belongs to God.

HOW TO JOIN THE CHURCH GOD..

Ephesians 3:6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:

we are members of the church of God which is one body.

we must be members of the same body which is the church of God.And for you to become a member, according to the Bible you should accept his Gospel which is the doctrine we will obey and not just by raising up our hands.

we were meant to understand that another doctrine of the Gospel is to sing unto God.Which is part of the Gospel.

The doctrines of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Below are few lessons Learnt from today's Mass Indoctrination been the 11th of October 2021

We were meant to understand that the only doctrine we should accept is the doctrine of Christ which the commandments

1st Corinthians 14:37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.

Philippians 1:27 Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

As we can see in this verse that our way of living as a Christian should be according to Gospel . This should be our faith.

Mark 7:7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Mark 7:8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.

It is bad to leave the commandments of God and follow the doctrine of men. Even if we are paying contributions, helping people, showing love that are in vain without follow the doctrines of Christ.

Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Here, after Baptising his disciples in the name of the father, son and holy spirit he then teach them the word of God.

Note

We were meant to understand that we should not accept any doctrine outside the Bible.

Galatians 1:13 For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:

The very church that Paul was persecuting is the same church he was called, and became a member and also preached the faith which he destroys.

We were also the meant to understand in the book of...

Christ is the head of the body which is the church. We gentiles should be members of it.

Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

Ephesians 3:10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

Ephesians 3:11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

The church would be the instrument which the word of God is preached. The church is established by God to know the wisdom of God.

Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Upon my rock I will build my church. So there is no such thing as upon my fellowship, ministry or assembly in the Bible. And he said he has not spoken by himself that it was the father who sent him.

Finally, the official church in the Bible is the Church of God. And as a member of the church, u need to listen to the word of God and be baptized.

What will be our role in the one thousand years after resurrecting with Christ?

Answer

For you to be sure that you will have a role is for you start now to live the life of Holiness.

The role of those who will reign with Christ are...

Judging people and,

Preaching the word of God.

Revelation 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

Revelation 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

This verse is telling us that... Those people who are found worthy to reign with Christ for one thousand years will be prince and priest they will rule the earth.

Question

What is Trinity? Are they one person or three people?

Answer

According to Bro Eli,There is no word like Trinity in the Bible.

The father, is a different person.

The son is a different person.

The Holy spirit is also a different person.

The word Trinity is like a family with a singular word but plural inside.

Question

When. We pray how can we address our prayers to them?

Answer

You can pray to the father, son and the holy spirit.

Matthew 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

The Lord teach us in this verse to pray to the father.

Acts 7:59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God , and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

The Apostle pray directly to the Lord Jesus Christ

Question

What does the Bible say about tithe in the church?

Answer

The right to pay tithe is according to the law of Moses. The only one that have the right to collect tithe are the Levi.

The paying of tithe is in the law of Moses. And now the new law of Christ does not permit us to pay tithe.
