All the while keeping you updated on the latest Mets news, Mets rumors and potential Mets trades that may occur. So, buckle up and LGM!!
The Mets clinched a playoff spot for the first time since 2016 and have a gentleman's celebration. Meanwhile the Braves have dropped two straight and the Mets lead the division race by 1.5 games with 11 games to go. Also, I discuss how this season has been a sucess even if they don't win it all... Yes, its true.
With the magic number at 2 and the Mets playing the Brewers for the next three days I discuss if we should go crazy for clinching out first playoff spot in 7 years. Or do we pop a few cans of beer and celebrate knowing the NL East Pennant is the big ticket? Hopefully we find out tonight!
Today we talk about a much needed win vs Pittsburgh. We look ahead at the schedule and the Scherzer return date. Also, who is or third starter in the playoffs? Carrasco or Bassitt? Who would you want to start?? Come join in on the fun!
It's been a wild week for the Mets as they try to nail down a NL East pennant! Falling out of first for 24 hours was wild enough to scare everyone to the core but the Braves have also cooled off. Buckle up its going to be a wild final 19 game ride. As the Mets are clinging to a .5 game lead. Let's be positive, as Mets fans, we have all been here before. But this time I believe in them to do the job! Also, I get into who are expectations have changed over the last 6 months. Enjoy!!
It's been a dreadful stretch for the Mets and with the red-hot Braves finally catching them the Mets finally came to life sweeping a double header from the lowly Pirates. Now they are on to Miami to play the Marlins who tend to play the Mets tough in September's past. Also, we talk a little Braves, Scherzer and Walker.
So, what a wild week in Mets land over the last 7 days. 2 out of 3 from LA and riding a major high. To losing 2 out of 3 to Washington. Oh, and a Scherzer injury as well. Let's move on from the weekend drama and reset out minds. Let's talk about the cupcakes we are going to be playing and clinching a playoff spot in the next few weeks. #LGM
Back to uploading to the podcast after my old laptop finally died. But here we are on the last day in August about to start the stretch run to a playoff spot. It's been a wild year. Let's see if the offence can wake up before the Dodgers leave town or will they hit just enough like last night only for the bullpen to give it up? Lets Go Mets!!
The Mets dropped 3 out of 4 to Atlanta to have their lead in the NL East shrink but rebound in a dramatic way Sunday erasing 3 deficits to take 3 of 4 from the Phillies. And now they return to New York but in the Bronx for a hostile 2 get set with the Yankees.
The Mets dropped the first two games of a four-game series in Atlanta. However, the call up of Brett Baty and now having Scherzer and deGrom pitch back-to-back should reenergize them! Also, injuries and Walker!
After taking 4 out of 5 from Atlanta the Mets continues their hot streak blowing away the Cincinatti Reds and then taking 2 out of 3 from the Philadelphia Phillies. The Reds never even had a chance in there 3 game set, and it seemed that they are just a listless team playing out the string of games waiting for the season to end. While the Phillies put up a great effort vs the Mets this weekend including a tight 2-1 win on Friday night. Only to not score again for the remaining weekend games. Losing 1-0 and 6-0 Saturday and Sunday. Now the Mets are gearing up for their last tough stretch of the season starting with a 4-game set Monday in Atlanta.
Mets take 4 out of 5 against the Atlanta Brave at Citi Field over the weekend. And turn a 3.5 game lead into a 6.5 game lead in the NL East. Lets dive in!
The Mets took care of business vs the Nationals taking two out of three. However, it was slightly disappointing that it wasn't a sweep. Are you ready? Because we are about to play serious August baseball vs our hated rivals. And my thought on the lackluster trade deadline and how its actually wasn't that bad.
What a wild week! Swept the Yankees and Marlins and now riding a 6 game winning streak. Also, we talk trade deadline and who is going where. Is JD Martinez coming to New York? Perhaps Juan Soto? I discuss.
The Subway Series has arrived via the 7 train, and we are discussing some things to watch in the next two days. Also, we will touch on the current red hot trade rumors the Mets are rumored to make.
Big win last night for the Mets as they salvage the final game of a three-game set vs San Diego. Also, we talk my top 3 favorite Mets wins and top 3 worst losses in Subway Series history.
The Mets got some Jacob deGrom news today and looks like he will get 1 more minor league start. Also we preview the Padres series and briefly look ahead to the Subway Series next week. Also, we have a BREAKING NEWS ALERT!! Mets first trade before the deadline.
The Mets finished off an impressive week taking 2 out of 3 vs the Braves and 3 out of 4 vs the Cubs. Plus, we talk about Juan Soto to the Mets being a possibility. And Alonso in the Homerun Derby. And let's look at the standings during the all star break. #LGM #Mets
What a ballsy win for the Mets last night in Atlanta vs the hated Braves. Let's discuss and talk more about the series. In my opinion there was a statement made loud and clear. This isn't the 2021 Mets!
What a perfect evening in New York! 10-0 win and two of the guys struggling the most on the squad come through big. Also, the Braves lost so we picked up a much-needed game in the standings. LGM!!
Mets won 2 out of 3 vs the Reds and were helped out by a questionable call in the 9th. And now bring on the fish as we are all excited to retire Keith's 17. Meanwhile the Braves are keeping the heat on. While deGrom will me making his second start in the minors as he creeps closer to his return.
Been a rough 2 weeks vs Houston and now lets just focus on July and moving forward.

The New York Mets went on to win Sunday night vs the Angels and take the series vs the Halos and go .500 on their grueling 10 game trip. My reaction to the trip, the lead in the NL East and the Atlanta Braves. Plus, a preview of this week's upcoming games.

The Mets split the series vs the Los Angeles Dodgers last weekend in a huge 4 game series. It was pretty darn entertaining, and everyone was on the edge of their seats all weekend long. Now they take the trip down the 15 to San Deigo to play the Padres in another big series before concluding their 10-game road trip back to LA this time to play the Angels.
