In this episode, the team stays on a course about dealing with yourself from knowing your identity to striving to be your best self. While covering the following topics. Sometimes your best self is just being the best for your family versus building a business.

- You need to stay true to yourself and your values.
- You need to make sure you're doing what brings you a sense of happiness, and purpose.
The team opened up the discussion with a quote. In Ancient Greece, the philosopher Socrates famously declared that the unexamined life was not worth living. Asked to sum up what all philosophical commandments could be reduced to, he replied: 'Know yourself.
- Just as much as self-care is important so is self-examination
- Other people's responses do not change your identity.
- Your purpose is directly tied to living like the person God has made you be.
This is a re-air of a significant topic of the influences of music and music artist in our lives. We have to be mindful of the music are children are listening to, many times a child two to five years old can sing a whole song and yet cannot say their ABCs. We as parents want to make sure that we are not so disconnected from what they are learning from some lyrics.
Mike opens up the podcast by talking about the great time he spent in New York City during the 4th of July holiday weekend. Then Doc and Mike use a sports metaphor to discuss how to prepare while in between dimensions of life progressions. How you should stay committed, keep learning, and change your perspective when you need to pivot. They also covered how a bad situation can be the right time in life to learn from bad leadership what you should not do.

known as The StoryTeller; a uniquely gifted Motivational Speaker and Comedian. They cover topics dealing with doing humor from the pulpit and how others did not agree with it because church time is a very serious time. They also discuss how in troubled times they need some laughter. He presents his thoughts on the audience coming on stage during comic routines and how safety measures are now used to protect the entertainer.

Becoming Bulletproof: Life Lessons from a Secret Service Agent by Evy Poumpouras. Poumpouras served under multiple presidents and described Michelle Obama as "self worth" because she knew her self worth through things like Racism and doubt.
You have to know your self worth. Increase your belief in yourself. Key word being SELF. You have to believe in spite of any other circumstances that you are worth something. We have to help the young generation change their personal self views. Don't let nay sayers bring you down. When they go low, we go high.

Hurt people hurt each other. You have to learn from your experiences, not keep making the same mistakes over and over. 30/70 Rule. 30% of people are going to hate you, but don't focus on them and ignore the 70% that actually love you. Enjoy that 70%. Break the familial cycle. The generational curse. We have to learn to believe in what's right vs. what's wrong. Romans 12:2 "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." The process is a daily journey. You have to be connected through a Spiritual Authority. Identify someone who's living the life you want to, so that you can learn from them. A closed mouth doesn't get fed. Follow translates to Greek word for mimic. DO EXACTLY WHAT YOU SEE ME DOING. Intelligence growth and wisdom growth allows you to see the world for what it actually is. Material things aren't what's important. It's time. Age makes you KNOW BETTER, but only God can make you BE BETTER.

Mike and Garland picks up where they left off on Episode 15 discussing when he goes to prison and the transformation of his life before being release. They also cover where he was inspired to public service and how it lead him to working with the Joliet Housing Authority and Will County Executive Board. Doc sums up the interview with how through our failures we can find our calling, purpose and destiny.
Mike welcomes special guest Garland Mays the Will County Executive Engagement Coordinator to the podcast to discuss his life story. In this first of two episodes they bring to light their childhood relationship that grew from a church that Garland great-uncle founded and pastored. Garland also discussed how after one year of college with a career ending injury, he retuned to the neighborhood and got involve with gangs and drugs.
Mike and Doc discussed some of the issues in relationships that causes individuals to reject, neglect and take their mate for granted. They also conversate about how the man that is following after Christ is constantly being torn down from inside his own household. They end the conversation with healthy solutions that leads toward a good relationship.
DJ Cornerstone and Mike disscused how DJ's fundraiser "Footwerking For Food" helped the Northern Illinois Food Pantry. They also discussed the annual August event called Footwerk Appreciation Month better know as F.A.M. Where footwerk dancers come from all over the world to Chicagoland to meet and celebrate each other with picnics, parties and friendly dance off competitions. DJ also talked about attending the Bud Billiken parade which is the largest African American parade in the United States. Doc sums up the importance of giving back to community and how you can use your passion to do it.
While DJ Cornerstone is out doing a fundraiser for the local food banks. Mike shares a story from his family reunion in Jackson Mississippi when he had an opportunity to go over to Jackson State University to get a picture of Coach Deion Sanders and Dwayne " The Rock" Johnson running a mini camp of the top talent in the Historically Black College or University (HBCU) conference for the new XFL football league. Doc continues to give valuble input on how mentoring someone will give the mentee a more excellent way of doing something.
Mike described some of social boundaries the podcast is trying to remove from our communities. Doc goes into detail about the difference between a hard worker and a lazy person and also how his parents taught him to work for what you want. DJ Cornerstone gives input on how empathy from the USA Supreme Court should have been use when they made the decision to reverse Roe vs. Wade.
Mike gives a short story of how he started his first business a hand carwash and what he learned from it that led him to his next business opportunity. DJ Cornerstone discussed how he begin dancing in high school and and forming dancing groups that eventually separated and how he did not let it stop him from pursuing his dream. Doc offers plenty of wisdom for both life stories of perseverance.
When the famine hit the land Joseph's brothers came to Egypt to get grain. Joseph could have took revenge against them for what they did, but he did not because he realized his God given gift was going to be used to save all their legacies.
We discovered our hidden talents (redefining our dreams and going after them with a plan). The disparity of health care between Black, Latinx and Indigenous Americans being exposed. Not to take life for granted( the passing of a love one due to Covid-19)
Wisdom is about understanding there is more than one way to get to a destination. Wisdom builds the house and knowledge furnishes the rooms.
