There’s a topic that we tend to speak about on exercise walks with close girlfriends, or after a couple of wines of an evening, that I reckon we need to throw open the closet door on and create a safe space to talk about.
And that’s the stress associated with the potential for pregnancy that still exists for some Women identifying as childless, childfree, step parent/fill in parent/carer/guardian in peri-menopause…..and how do we and the people we're/they’re dating and relating with deal with and manage that? And come out the other side less frustrated and more fulfilled?
That’s what we’re talking about in this episode.

Labels, categories, boxes that we put ourselves in, or that other people might have put us in, or that we identify with. Have you noticed how they can be really, profoundly helpful in finally helping us understand something about ourselves, in finding relatability, in being able to connect with support, emotional safety and create healing. But in other times , they can potentially have a negative impact by creating separation, segregation, or just limiting our ability to expand and grow into the next expression of our fullest potential, if we’re now stuck in the confines of one particular box? That’s what we’re talking about in this episode.

Are you somebody who occasionally struggles with losing your voice, or the longevity of the use of your voice?
Back earlier this year, when i was talking to my Ear Nose and Throat Surgeon, he mentioned that it’s really common for Women in their early 40’s to have voice issues starting to show up. On top of this, Dr Joe Dispenza mentioned a study pre pandemic, that estimated that as much as 70% of the US population alone might be permanently, unknowingly operating in flight flight (survive mode) at any given time. Add on top of this, the pandemic elevating global stress levels and the introduction of masking wearing, plus talking to others from 1.5m+ away through a mask.
Why does vocal health needs to be a priority for people in their 30’s, 40’s, 50’s plus?
In addition to, as a standard people and culture, occupational health and safety consideration for workplaces everywhere?
What does a voice injury, vocal straining/overuse or fatigue sound and feel like?
Who can help with that?
That’s what we’re talking about in this week’s episode.

In last week’s episode, we took a look at some of the upstream factors we could potentially change in society, in order to bring about a positive impact in reduction of unwanted reproductive circumstances that happened down the line.
This week, we take a look at 2 additional factors which, when implemented would also make a positive impact to reproductive choice requiring circumstances, plus empower more Women to be able to liberate themselves from disempowering or abusive circumstances. But beyond that, would also have a positive flow on in terms of remedying climate change related damage, and also have positive implications in terms of global sustainability.
The two factors we’re going to look at being 1) what would happen if we were to educate the approximately 65 million girls globally who don’t currently have access to education and the second is about financial independence. If you add education, not just to Women’s education, (that’s going to have flow on for reproductive choice) but if we were to better financially educate and empower everyone who doesn’t exist in the top 3% making the majority of the world’s wealth right now, that would also have flow on in terms of remedying climate change and living a more sustainable life globally.
If that is something that you’re curious to dive into, this episode is for you.

So there are a lot of conversational ripples spreading out across the world, since one decision was made recently in the US in regards to abortion. Which is then leading to implications of this being considered by a lot of people across the world.
One thing that has been on my mind this week is that, while its really important that we size up how to deal with that issue DOWN the river, what I think we still need to be talking about, is what is going on back up the river, at a time in history where we actually do have a level of consciousness in which we are capable of consciously creating life and we have technologies that are available to aid us in that, what are some factors that are getting in the way up the stream, that might be negatively impacting our capacity to use those, to be more conscious about how we create life? Here are 10 for your consideration this week, unpopular or no, remember it's just one point of view, offered to help any given person out there better clarify their own.

As with many human conditions and circumstances, as with being childfree by choice, or considering oneself childless by circumstance, there can be an aspect of blame and perception of victimhood that can underly one’s experience and be a part of one’s growth journey. So if there was a model and a roadmap for moving from a state of victimhood to empowerment, what would that look like? And how would it apply collectively as well as individually, for a whole host of situations in which finding the gateway from one destination, to the other, is a thing? If that’s of interest to you, please tune in for this episode.

In this week's episode, we're talking about strategies for managing anxiety in the early stages of dating and relating. What do we often aspire to in this phase? What are some things that can mess it up? Why is that a problem? How do we better manage "us" to get on top of our anxiety? And what are some tips to help take the anxiety OUT of spending time with the other? If this is of interest to you, or you have read about and ever identified with the term "anxious attachment", and want to feel more confident, at ease, have free-flowing, easy conversation, full of “me too!” synchronicity moments about things you love, have done, and are inspired by, personally and professionally, if you want to have more fun, chemistry and authentic connection and intimacy and progress into closeness with someone truly compatible, to make the sharing of this adventure of living a life you love together an ongoing “thing,” this episode is for you.

One of the things I occasionally talk with clients (both some of those who've chosen to be childfree and those who are without kids by circumstance or involuntarily) about are some of the ideas we humans have about what we imagine parenthood and pregnancy will achieve in our lives.
For Biological Parents, some of those may prove true and come into manifestation, and others of them might get a little busted up as the rubber hits the road of reality. When it comes to people who may never experience being biological parents, but once thought they wanted to, their fantasies might never get the same test of time and reality. Leaving them in a kind of "parenthood and pregnancy limerence" zone to have to move through. In addition to what they have already had to move through in life.
This episode is about "parenthood and pregnancy limerence" and how it can impact our grieving process and growth going forward.

As a chance to explore in example how some of the attachment and trauma patterns we talked about in last week's episode might hypothetically play out in relationships in middle age, minus kids, this week I thought we'd take a look into how some of that patterning is actually perfectly demonstrated in the evolution of one of my favourite movie characters of all time; Captain Pete Mitchell eg" Maverick"from the Top Gun Franchise. We're going to take a deep dive into the evolution of his relationships over time, with both Charlotte "Charlie" Blackwood, from the first Top Gun movie, his old flame revisited in the sequel Top Gun Maverick, Penny Benjamin, the fabled Admiral's Daughter who he allegedly " went ballistic with" pre first movie and what, hypothetically MIGHT have played out in the gap in between. If that's of interest to you, feel free to check out this episode.
Note: For the sake of not spoiling it for you, I strongly suggest you see the movie before listening to this episode.
