This show focuses on the "why's" of being an entrepreneur. With an eye on the bigger picture and another on the here and now, Alex will feature great guests who share their passions and purpose for why and how they succeed and stories of Faith and Perseverance.
Entrepreneurship is not for everyone. Like the movement for equality, any business that has been started was first formed with a dream. When we dream about starting a business, we usually dream of ways we would like to increase our lifestyle. I believe that all dreams and businesses start with the foundation of Freedom. When it comes to minorities, we still find ourselves in marginalized positions in communities, in politics, economically, and socially. One of the reasons why I appreciate the city of Asheville is for its movements to bridge the gap of equality. I struggle most when I know there are opportunities for minorities that are not taken to the maximum potential. As minority entrepreneurs, we have an obligation to pay those who sacrificed for us to have the freedoms that we currently have. Although we may have many problems in our society, the reality is that we are privileged to have the types of problems we have due to what barriers were overcome by previous generations. This episode provides a perspective that the only way for us to become equal is through the journey of Entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship leads to equality because when we are successful we have to collaborate with others. The most important impact of entrepreneurship is when we become successful and we can financially provide for ourselves, we can then fund economic projects to push our own political agenda and change our community. This episode is a call to action to take Martin’s dream and take actions of freedom for ourselves and the community through Entrepreneurship!
As we come about the end of 2022 and the end of Season 3 of the Golden Key, there is much to reflect on and strive towards. The last three years since the pandemic have shifted our cultural norms in some of the most drastic measures we have seen during this generation. As we approach the third year of the pandemic, I can not help but be grateful for everything that has happened since the pandemic started. This reflection has led me to call the year 2023 the Jordan year in honor of my favorite basketball player. The Jordan year is about cementing the legacy of greatness. It is about having an attitude of arrival, confidence in purpose, and a clear unwaivered vision. The Jordan year is about leaving every sweat of potential on the floor in the game of life. The Jordan year is about mental dominance regarding adversity, setbacks, and challenges. The Jordan year is about the mental attitude of humility backed by endless hunger to rediscover potential. The Jordan year is about an irresistible impact through opening doors for others to create their own journey. 2023 is the year of becoming, and on this show, you will listen to what is in store for us!
Taking risks can change you fundamentally. They make you braver, stronger, and more confident. They show that you have what it takes to make a decision, commit, and create the life you want. You build faith in yourself knowing you have done it before and can do it again. That is what we are talking about today with our special guest Karen Glace, DreamBuilder Coach and Business Consultant.

We’ve all heard that Fear is False Expectations Appearing Real. How often have we found a daunting task became easier once we find the motivation to step out of our comfort zone? On today’s Show Laura and Megan Break down how to move from Fear into greatness.
Laura and Meghan met in hip hop class, where they had been dancing next to each other for well over a year, when one day Laura casually mentioned her geeky love of neuroscience. Meghan immediately perked up because this was a shared love. They went for tea and the rest is herstory…
In their love of all things nerdy, growth-oriented and mystical, Laura and Meghan quickly realized that there was a clear venn diagram of where their joy + heart-centered service in the world overlapped. Laura’s never ending quest for how the universe works has led her through years of training and eventually to getting formal education in the science of all things mystical and also practical, natural medicine. Meghan had years of work as a licensed therapist (and closeted intuitive) before she answered her full calling to become a fiercely loving life coach and help people truly tune inward and create deep change in their lives by completely and unapologetically living their fullest potential. Quickly, they found that when they brought these things together it was a perfect recipe for deep transformation. Add in their shared passion for social justice and the science and magic of authentic community. . . and Awkward Goddex was born.

From Brian Staufer:
"My name is Brian Stauffer, and I’m the proud owner of the Asheville area NerdsToGo franchise. Asheville became my home after 29 years in the radio industry as an active Morning Show Host, Station Manager and also working in the events industry as a Wedding/ Events DJ. I’ve lived all over the country in places such as Dallas, Orange County, the Bay Area, Nashville, Denver, Miami, Wilmington and now, my favorite place, Asheville. A fun fact: I’ve interviewed over 200 celebrities during my time in the wonderful world of radio.
I graduated with a degree in Broadcasting from Washington State University, but I’ve always kept up with trends and information in the technology sector. Technology is truly one of my passions, and I’m excited to help this area with any technology related!
The growth opportunity in the mobile solutions model as well as my love of solving problems drew me to NerdsToGo. So after working in the radio broadcasting, I gravitated to a place near my family where I can grow a new audience of people and businesses I can serve. I believe in truly integrating with the Asheville community, and I know that NerdsToGo is the perfect way to do that.
In my free time, you might (I said might) just catch me trying my stand-up routine at a local open mic night. My motto from radio to NerdsToGo and life in general is, “The show must go on!”

Life is like water down the river, an infinite flow through both anticipated and unanticipated obstacles. We refer to these obstacles as shifts. Through these shifts we become a more refined version and identify what is of value in our time here. The best way to handle any shift is to embrace that there is more to gain internally by going through the other side. Annie Lewis, a realtor who grew up in New York City, shares her ability to adapt and overcome all obstacles. Annie Lewis began her career as a NC Realtor after spending her time in event planning. She learned to effortlessly translate her inherent skills of helping others realize their visions in a calm, organized and professional manner to working with home buyers and sellers. She studied Art History in college and had the opportunity to study Florence, Italy. Her early career was spent at galleries and museums in New York and California. While living in San Francisco, Annie began her event planning career, which became a true passion for her. Annie has lived in North Carolina for nearly 20 years. She has two children in the early stages of adulthood. Her free time is spent exploring the beautiful Western North Carolina Region, doing yoga, enjoying healthy foods and the culture of the Asheville area.

Competition. When we think of championships, we think about one opponent winning, and the other losing. This mentality of comparison is one that has plagued our society into a depression, loss of self worth, and madness. The only real competition is the one we have within our selves. Go for the gold is about how to not look at comparison as competition, but growth within as the greatest progress one can have.
