This poem takes the shaping of the mind and turns it into a garden metaphor. Starting with the child's mind being a carefree garden where plants are not marked as weeds. Into a teenagers mind where life will have shaped witch plants are weeds and should be gotten rid of. Finally settling on an adults mind where the garden tends to have become rigid with set paths and plants.
