During his freshman year in college, Malcolm developed a love of reading. Initially, reading was a challenge, however, through perseverance, books became an avenue for expanding his curiosity, creativity, and learning. Malcolm shares his story and challenges throughout his journey.

A black-owned coffee company which sources their coffee from mostly black and brown origin farmers, Portrait Coffee is changing the narrative of coffee by bringing a more diverse representation to Atlanta’s coffee culture.

Today, we are sitting down with Kitiya Mischo King, Founder of Mischo Beauty. Mischo has been featured in Essence Magazine, named the 2021 Cosmopolitan Beauty Award winner, and most recently was featured on Oprah's Favorite Things list for 2021 (WOAH!). This line of nail polish is non-toxic and free from the 10 ingredients we are told to avoid in our skincare products, something Kitiya found hard to find while looking for a nail polish that's safe for someone who was pregnant. Kitiya is a self funded, black, female entrepreneur who gets into her journey as a founder and her journey of bringing people along with her and sharing in success. Kitiya also dives into self-funding and what that means to her along with the risk of investing in your own business. She seeks to encourage faith, inspire justice, and guide us through loving our neighbors well. Her illustrations aim to make complex issues more digestible and help others find and use their passions to make a difference in their spheres of influence.
