Bread of Life is a bi-weekly podcast revealing the mercy and person of Jesus through the Word of God.
The Lord has granted us access to obtain from His abundant mercy and grace through us being naked and unashamed before Him. Through this act of transparency we are found with no condemnation in Christ.
It is not the strength of our riches or our own arm that will allow us to endure and persevere to the end, however it is the strength of the Lord. The strength of the Lord is revealed in many ways throughout the bible and one of them expressed in this episode is how we can strengthen ourselves in the presence of the Lord.
When we keep the Word of God in our hearts, it will see us through any temptation and our obedience to the Word of God will see us escape any wilderness we face.
True intimacy with the Lord allows us to know His ways and sees us committing all our ways to Him, acknowledging Him and resting in HIM. There is peace to those who confidently give their ways to HIM and quietly waits upon the Lord.
All out battles belong the Lord and He who has overcome has won the victory for us and has given us His peace. Praise God.
If we were to make the Lord our God our Good Shepherd, then we shall lack no good thing...we shall not want.
"...he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice." - [John 10:4]
"Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts." [Zechariah 4:6]
When we reject the Lords counsel, we separate ourselves from the Presence of the Lord. It is however in the Presence of the Lord that we have Light to see our path and to know the way. Those who walk in the Light of His Presence do not stumble and these are they who are cleansed from all sin.
In this episode of the "bread of life" podcast, Tanesha expounds on what it means to "Abide in Christ" and the need to understand God's word as well as to practicalize it in our daily lives, to manifest the power in that word.

When we disobey God, we are like fugitives....on the run from the law trying to flee our sentence and living a life outside the peace of God. However, Jesus has called us to a life of peace and quiet rest. A life of peace which is only found in Him and being in right standing with Him.
'Heresay' information is second hand information. The Lord wants us to witness Him for ourselves and to trust in His Word so that our faith cannot be shaken.
"O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him." [Psalm 34:8]
It is the Spirit of Revelation that reveals Jesus Christ to us as the Son of God unto Salvation.
Except the Spirit of the Lord reveals that Jesus Christ is the Son of God...we will not know Him. We may know Jesus as Teacher, Healer and Prophet, however it is the knowing of Him as the Son of God, we shall be saved.
"And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." - [John 17: 3]
We have all gone astray to do and seek our own devices. Like lost sheep we have gone astray. It is only the Lord Jesus Christ who is able to SEEK and SAVE those who are lost.
"I have gone astray like a lost sheep; SEEK thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments." - Psalm 119:176
This is the generation of them that will seek Him. Those with clean hands and a pure heart. A people who do not lust after vanity and speak deceit. I believe the Lord is calling us higher, yet in order to come up higher, there are things we must put off, cut off, let go and de-attach ourselves from.
“Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” - Exodus 3:5
Humility is the first step in approaching God. A contrite heart, the Lord will not deny. Our intimacy with Jesus is determined by the depth of our humility.
It is the amazing Grace of God that saves us through faith in Christ Jesus. It is not by works or our righteousness that saves us from the corruption of this world. It is because God so loved us that He sent His Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Faith in Jesus stirs up courage in us to face trials in the midst of fear, as our faith rests in Him and not ourselves or man. Hearing Gods Word through faith gives us the courage to do the impossible. Knowing that the Lord is with us should be enough to give the confidence and the belief that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.

In the book of revelation, it tells us that the Lord stands at the door and knocks....whilst He knocks, He awaits us to invite Him in so as to dine with us and we with Him. The Lord is interested to dine with us so we can experience union with Him and a deeper revelation of who He is.
Instead of Isaac, the Lord provided Abraham a ram for the sacrifice. Instead of us facing the death penalty, Jesus paid the price. Jesus is the provision and price we could not pay.
"And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering..." - Genesis 22:8
Jesus brought us out (from sin and this world) to bring us unto HIMSELF. He brought us out from the power of darkness so that we may know the TRUTH, and have a revelation of who He is and of His goodness.
Moses knew the ways of God yet the Israelites knew only His acts. Our Lord desires to have a personal relationship with us where we know His ways and His voice. The voice of God is that which speaks to our spirit and it is that which is discerned through knowing HIM.
The Peace of God which surpasseth all understanding is that which is able to keep us in Christ Jesus. It is like a shield for us against grief, tragedy, loss, disappointment, the cares of this world and all the troubles of the heart.
According to Proverbs 13:10, Wisdom is found by those who receive counsel. Therefore those who take counsel from the Word of God, obey His instructions and commandments is found by Wisdom.
Our Lord is as much interested in the cry of a poor man (the needy, the helpless, the one desperate for Him, the one sorrowful over their sin) as much as He is interested in the cry of a righteous man. The Lord is nigh to those of a contrite heart and those who hunger for His righteousness.
"This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles." - Psalm 34:6
What can separate us from the love of God? Although our sin separates us from the fellowship of God, we are never separated from His love and His love was manifested in Christ Jesus.
The world and its pleasures are passing away. Though we are in the world, we are not of the world. In the end, it is the word of God that will stand, and those who carry out His will. Are you in the will of God?
God is the same yesterday, today and forever. To those who have proven Him to be true and His words truth stand on a confidence and trust in Him that cannot be shaken. God demonstrates His loyalty and faithfulness to us through our experiences with Him or through the experiences of others. These experiences are to encourage us to walk by faith and not by sight.
The proud in heart is self-willed and walks according to the flesh and not according to the will of God. Christ invites us to live a life of complete surrender to Him which requires a death to self.

The joy of Lord rests upon us and over us when we delight in Him. This joy becomes our strength.

The mercy of God is available to all, in fact they are new each morning. However, though this gift is freely available, many of us do not obtain the benefit of it due to our inability to humble ourselves.
The compassion of Jesus is readily available to attend to us. The bible says He is our present help in time of need. Tanesha reveals several ways in which the Lord offers us His comfort and uses scripture to expose those who have benefited from running into His arms.
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles..."

In this episode of the "bread of life" podcast, Tanesha talks about how we can be set free from the task master named sin. The Israelites cried to God by reason of their taskmasters and if we were to do the same and cry out to God, turn from our wicked ways, confess our sins and believe that He is Lord then we will have salvation in Him.
The law (of Moses) had the potential to give us freedom from sin to a certain extent however only Jesus makes us free indeed.

In this episode of the "bread of life" podcast, Tanesha talks about the importance of communing with your heart. Through this alone time with self, during prayer and reading the Word of God, we are able to hear the voice of God and hidden truths can be revealed. According to Proverbs 20:27, our spirit is the lamp of God and when our spirit speaks to us, the light of Him exposes our dark motives that may lay within.
It is the intention of the potter to create a vessel of honour and this is done in a fashion which pleases Him. Our role (as clay) is to merely submit. Submission becomes our end goal when we stand on the belief that our life is not our own. We have been bought with a price, and that price is the blood of Jesus Christ.
The weights of sin and the worries of life so easily sets us back and cause us to stumble in our walk with Christ. Yet in the midst of such trouble, we have hope in Jesus to carry our loads.

This gift is the Holy Spirit which the Bible also describes as a fountain that flows in us and gives us eternal life. Christ is the source of this fountain and it is given freely to those who believe, that they may have eternal life

It is His Word that shall lead us to the right path and out of harms way. It is this Bread (Word) that we ought to always depend on for it’s wisdom for our lives.
“For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst" - John 6:33-35
I Was Blind But Now I See seeks to illuminate the paths of its hearers through the Word of God so that we will have a greater understanding of our purpose and a deeper intimacy with our Lord Jesus Christ.
