Love has its ups and downs, so it takes a bit (or a lot) of understanding and communication for it to work out. Pinky and Olie (@pensandmatcha) discuss what makes romantic (and platonic!) relationships work, specifically with the use of love languages. We share the top love languages that we show and want to receive, spill the tea on past and present relationships, and discuss whether relationships in movies and social media are the standards to live by or just a load of BS.

Social media has a way of feeding into our needs but also digging into our insecurities, especially our body image. Pinky and Olie (@pensandmatcha) talk of times when beauty standards were limited to their little communities and how it has changed after the boom of the Like button. We share our experiences with negative and positive body image (influences from adult figures and the opinions from the ones we trust to changing ourselves for ourselves) and discuss the body positivity movement (is it working or are there things unaddressed?) Learning to build a positive body image, as we’ve learned, isn’t a ‘one-size fits all’ deal.
