Last month we've been to Moalboal, Cebu for a quick three-day staycation with my wife. Its been known that almost every corner of Cebu island has beautiful beaches to offer but Moalboal is quite unique to every beach around Cebu for its long white fine sand of Basdaku Beach and their numerous beautiful diving spots most likely one of the reasons why lots of divers and the likes keep coming back to Moalboal, not to mention their Pescador Island that is rich of coral reefs. Aside from those above mentioned Moalboal is famously known as well for its underwater attraction the Sardine run wherein you get to experience diving with the thousand of sardines just off the coastline of Panagsama Beach which I already shared in my previous content, you can see it through this link "Finally Freedive with the Famous Sardine Run of Moalboal".

Apart from freediving with the thousands of sardines, you can also dive with the gorgeous sea turtles that it is very tamed that you can barely touch them but are prohibited as it will cause stress on them. Along with the turtles, the officials in the area (Panagsama Beach) also stood a human size mermaid statue underwater just a few meters away from the sardine run which I recommend you to visit if you happened to dive with the sardine run and of course, the tamed sea turtles as well. My wife and I have been on leave for a week from her stressful work a mandatory yearly work break I must say, and to make the most out of her break I decided to bring her to nature. The good thing is that we don't need to go far away from home. Since we are living in the countryside, particularly in Alcoy Cebu, there is a mountainous village that is considered by the Cebu Provincial Government as the largest and the last forest reserved in Cebu Province the Nug-as village of Alcoy. Wherein it is the home of various endangered species of birds and one of them is the Siloy a medium-sized bird, commonly known as Cebu Black Shama which is nowhere to be found in the world but only in the forest of Nug-as. With the visible efforts of the local government by promoting the bird to help awareness, the Local government of Alcoy had an annual festival name after the bird which the Alcoy is well-known for the Siloy festival. Unfortunately, we haven't seen any Black Shama when we went there. But instead, we went to Kanlahing Peak still located in Nug-as where we can possibly witness the sea of clouds.

The night before we both decided to head on Nug-as as early as 4 o'clock in the morning since its a 45-minute drive away from our house, with the advice of locals from the village that for better visibility of the sea of clouds we have to arrive early on the spot so as to see the actual cloud formation and to see the golden hour sunrise as well. Unfortunately, a sea of clouds didn't show up, one of the locals told us that it's not actually clouds but fog, and usually for a bigger chance of witnessing the sea of clouds it must rain during the night so that by the next morning it will create a fog and eventually form into a cloud-like which the locals call it as a sea of clouds. In fact, the local government of Alcoy considered it a new site to visit as it gradually attracts some local tourists, especially mountaineers as it is a great place for camping.

It's been a while since I posted my freediving content here in the community and I'm really glad that there is this particular community created for freedivers that will surely show you the beauty of underwater.

I have posted a few contents of my solo dives already but not in the #Freediving community since the freediving community wasn't created yet at that time, as well as a couple of photos of our line dives together with our freedivers community the BAD (Boljoon, Alcoy, Dalaguete) freedivers which usually happens in the Tingko Beach of Alcoy. And finally, I can share my content with the appropriate community.

It was two weeks ago to be exact that we went to Sumilon Island together with my wife and her cousins just to have a weekend getaway since its already summer season, and knowing that it is a beach resort that we are going I brought my fins with me and I also ask Janine my wife's cousin to bring hers as well since she does freediving also and happens to be a member of our freediving community at the same time. On the island, we asked one of the lifeguards as to where the good dive spot was and he humbly told us that on the waters in front of the restaurant wherein the fish sanctuary is located, he also added that they placed an image statue below the waters

but forgot the exact spot and just told us to snorkel near the buoy of the sanctuary and he told us in advance that we have to dive 7-8 meters below for us to see it. Unfortunately, for almost staying more than an hour in the water we haven't seen any statues at all. Instead, we saw this thick rope that is being hooked to a coral stone, and we both decided to take turns passing through it while filming. Among the company, the two of us really get on vibes when talking about underwater. Hope you enjoyed our short video

Hello Hive people, hope everyone is having a great weekend. For this content, I'm going to share my diving experience where I found the place of sea turtles. Earlier today the weather was so warm the sun is up and the skies were so clear feels like it's still a summer season, so I decided to have a solo dive.

As I traverse the underwater cliff, I found this beautiful sea turtle take shelter in a small hole that appears to be its resting place. The turtle seems so tame that it even looked at the camera. After a couple of minutes, the turtle goes out of its hole I thought the turtle was afraid as I keep circling near its place, but it seems the turtle is looking for food instead. It's so amazing how nature works, as you can see the turtle looks like flying below waters. Indeed an amazing nature. Hope everyone enjoyed watching my short video.

Hi there Hive people, I hope everyone is safe and sound, and may you have a great weekend as well.

Yesrterday afternoon I decided to have a solo fun dive, since the public beach is off for local tourists who are not residents of the town for the meantime because of this pandemic, so it was not crowded at all like the usual scenery almost every weekend way before the pandemic. So I decided to film my solo dive, perfect for the warm temperature actually to also cool down on saltwater. It was a great solo dive because the water is calm, though there was seagrass floating, well it's typical during this season after all. I was accompanied by a sea turtle during my dive which to my surprise most of the turtles won't go on that certain spot but maybe because the beach is not crowded at all they probably tend to find good food on that spot. Anyways, it's not advisable to dive alone always and always to have a dive buddy with you. As for me, I didn't go deeper, 8-10 meters is enough for me for a solo dive. It is best to know your limits on under water may it be a solo or a group dive. For the video itself, sorry for some shaky clips for it was my very first video and it was handheld all along which I'm not used to, but for the love of filming adventures surely I need to polish more. Way back in September 2019 My wife and I traveled to Boracay Island to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary. And of course, we tried the recreational activities Boracay Island tourism is offering and one of the many is their helmet diving, which will descend for about 5 meters underwater while wearing helmets connected to an oxygen tank.

While going down we were assisted of course by the divemaster. As you can see in the video we held on a rope so as not to float up to the surface and to keep our balance as well as we walk underwater. We were also given a small bread to feed the fish, which is the fun part because fish were coming towards us for the bread and mistakenly bites our fingers which somehow tickles.
