Normal season structure is dead. We can have our finales and premiers and awards whenever the hell we want to! I'm a father now! Like it or not, we are all subject to the whims of a small human who isn't even 2 years old yet. He has no idea what a podcast even is, and I'll bet he does NOT care that his dad makes one. What will he think of this when he gets older? What would your grandmother think if she knew you listened to this? What episode would you show her? I doubt she's ever even seen Monkey Shines. Is she a Neil Breen fan? Show your grandma Fateful Findings and let us know what she thinks.

It's the Season 6 soft-launch, and we're doing all new themes, baby. We've already told you when it is Friday the 13th, but we've never asked the question, When is it Friday the 13th? Since I'm the only one around here who seems to know the answer to that question (it's me, Denny, I'm typing this, it isn't Greg), I'm doing a solo quest of Sleepaway Camp. Friday the 13th adjacent content officially counts, now.

The Whennie Awards are coming up, and you'll be able to vote for them soon. Just check out our Instagram account, @moviesforwhen

National Treasure (55:32)

HEERE AT THE PODCAST. 171 episodes of podcasting, and I'm three movies away. Of all the words written here about monkeys, there's a line here that's at the heart of all the others. "But when a long train of seamless edits and gimmicks, pursuing invariably the same Review evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Apeism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such distinction, and provide new Monkeys for their future security."

People don't podcast that way anymore.

Can we swear in the title of our podcast? I don't know and I don't want fck with it. THIS IS AN ADULT PODCAST. IT'S NOT FOR KIDS. WE CAN SAY WHATEVER THE HELL* WE WANT. Anyways, it's censored because I'm kind of over it and I don't want to deal with the headache of re-uploading it if some dumb prude bot takes it down.

There are TONS of audio issues, because this is a clusterf*ck. Audacity both warped Dylan's audio track and cannibalized Denny's during editing, so it sounds like booty because it's just effing call audio. Like I give a cuss, (if you need me, I'll be up against a wall, smoking a cigarette, wearing sunglasses and a leather jacket)

This week Greg is gone, so we're joined by Don Denham (Hoops & Hefeweizens Podcast), Phil van Hoek (University of Texas Spanish II), and Dylan Derryberry (attendee of one (1) Taylor Family Halloween Party). If you haven't figured it out by now, I am so far beyond the point of putting actual effort into this description.

Follow our wonderful guest hosts on social media!

Don Denham: @don_denham @jakelloydii @the_mffls (those are all Twitter handles). Or visit linktr.ee/don_denham He makes music! Listen to it! Pay him to play it! Book this man!

Phil van Hoek on Twitter: @fillupjayfry And check out his MFin' letterboxd account: https://letterboxd.com/philvanhoek/ Follow it! He's good at liking movies.

Dylan Derryberry on Twitter (and probably Instagram, his Insta is good too, he makes lots of cool shit): @D-Derryberry Oh wait his Insta is @dderryberry60. His letterboxd handle is the same as his Insta. And you know what they say, "Always read the letterboxd of a person who unironically likes the Mario Bros movie."

Movies For When is on Twitter (I think) @MoviesForWhen. Same handle for Instagram.

Alright, enough of this shiznit I'm out.

Peter Pan grew up just so he could get married. Well, we're not impressed, because Greg got married this week and he's nowhere near grown up. Kind of challenges the entire thematic message of this movie, no?

Originally, this episode was scheduled to be a collaboration with the We're Watching podcast, but technical difficulties prevented that precious audio from ever seeing the light of day. But if we had a dime for every time we got knocked down and didn't get back up, we would have ZERO DIMES!!! And if that wasn't enough of an obscure professional wrestling reference for you, here's another one: We sent Hook. Enjoy.

Sequels, and sometimes Squeakquels, can be tricky. Obvious money grab attempts and a complete disregard for what made the original so special can leave a bad taste in the mouths of movie fans. But on the rare occasion, the magic is recaptured and even more enjoyable than the first outing! And look here, we found some!

This week, Denny & Greg (& Vanessa!) talk about Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (10:55), The Rescuers Down Under (42:40), and finally dip into the MCU with Thor: Ragnarok (1:35:26)!

Get one last listen to Greg for this month! We are so grateful to everyone that overwhelmed the audience poll to select our third movie. Catch the next one by finding us on Facebook, or following on Twitter & Instagram @moviesforwhen
