Julia deeps dives into the history of women in the Bible and USA where some things got unequal and some things get way to extreme…aka today’s world. But no matter what, we hold strong to the truth that God loves us ALL just the same and has specific roles for male and female.
Judges is a really fun read with Ruth taking place in the time period of Judges so these go together really well!
Deuteronomy means 2nd law which is very evident in this book. We both talk about what the benefit of laws and rules are and how Deuteronomy proves the Bible is not just mystical but actually historical. Joshua is action packed with stories and is the guy we all want to be like as a leader. Alivia brings us the importance of stones and memorials. What do you need to "mark" and keep physically as a reminder that God is faithful? Julia asks what do you need God to be victorious in?

Aunt Jen and Uncle Dwane have so much good advice for how they raised kids and kept a marriage going and also some advice for the singles. They met when they were older so a different view point than Julia and Alivia!

On this podcast I had my sister Alivia on again with her boyfriend Kyle. We talked about the struggles and hardest parts of a relationship, the successes and best parts of a relationship, advice to the single people, what and how they have seen God in their relationship, and different things they could change. In this world there are less and less Godly relationships, so I pray that this might encourage you to be in a Godly relationship and continue to grow with Jesus and make him first in your life!

This week I had my youth pastor, Jill Arriaga, on the podcast. We talked about what's good on her mountain top, how to have joy in all circumstances, her testimony, a few things to be thankful for, and being the light in the darkness. Jill compared us to a solar light. We get fueled by those in the light and those that give us good encouragement, but we can not stay in the light to shine our light. We have to use that light that was fueled and go out into the darkness, and be the difference in those places. I pray that this encourages you in this coming week. Thanks for watching!
