All hail Aunty M 🙌🙌

In episode 2 of the Aesthetics Edit, I revisit a fabulous, fun conversation I had with Miranda Pearce. Almost everyone in the UK aesthetics industry knows who this gem is, but for anyone not in-the-know, let me explain. Miranda Pearce @mirandapearcemindset is an aesthetics marketing guru, the creator of the Mindset Warriors,  co-founder of SkinViva with her husband Dr Tim Pearce, and a hilarious inspiration and a constant support to anyone starting in this competitive, cutthroat field.

She shares her insights with humour, grace, and kindness.

Anyone who has encountered her knows that she always encourages others to be brave, and it was definitely with that advice in my head when I reached out to her in the first place!

In Episode 1 of the Aesthetics Edit, I revisit a conversation I had with plastic surgeon and cosmetic doctor, Dr Yumiko Kadota.

Dr Yumiko is the author of "Emotional Female," a memoir about her experiences as a young plastic surgeon navigating a toxic and brutal workplace, and she describes what eventually led to her decision to walk away from the public healthcare system in Australia. Everyone - not just junior doctors - should read this book, and it particularly resonated with me and my own experiences.

We discussed her story, the challenges of being a woman in medicine, burnout, and - most importantly - recovery.
