Welcome back
On this episode we have Jason Lener, Director of Athletics from one of our newest university partners, Westminster College. We got to hear Jason’s story, from playing QB1 at Westminster, to 20+ years in administrative roles at high D1 universities, such as Illinois and Pitt, Jason has now found himself back in New Wilmington as Director of Athletics. Although Jason fancies himself somewhat old school, he knows in his role he has to adapt to change. No greater change than what came a month prior to Jason’s hiring in 2021 - NIL. We asked Jason why he wanted to get involved with NIL and what led to his decision of choosing MOGL as Westminster’s NIL platform. We also talk the future for Westminster athletics, the future for ADs, what Jason would tell his 23 year old self, and more!

Flipping the roles! WE got the chance to interview Dan for a change. During this episode we dig into Dan’s background in broadcasting & journalism, earning a degree in communications from Kean University. Feeling burnt out after a couple of lay offs in the field, Dan shifted his career to a 9-5 in sales, but he still had that “itch to scratch.” He still wanted to work/write in sports and saw a ton of potential in the NIL space, thus the birth of The NIL Deal.
