We need to understand that God has a story to tell in Prophecy. Without the big things placed in the story first, the story will not be complete. We should look at the setting of prophecy in the Holy Bible through a lens of WORLD 1.0 AND 2.0

Comfort for God's People - Isaiah 40
Let us be honest, we all had doubts about whether God through His son Jesus is reigning while we see the evil and treacherous ways of humanity plague this world. We see hunger, strife, poverty, we see disease, pestilence and more so prevalent the coronavirus creating global chaos, pandemonium, and deathbeds. Like with Israel finding themselves in exile waiting on the Lord to save them from their enemy while living in Babylon. It really feels as though we live in Babylon, no law, anarchy, hatred, and lawlessness reigns supreme. In this text, Isaiah the prophet reveals the heart of God, His sovereignty, and His will to comfort His people. We see that God provides a comforting promise of hope for the broken-hearted people of God.

This is such an important lesson that highlights how hearing the Word produces faith and thereby transforming the heart to trust the sovereignty of the Lord Jesus. In the beginning, Jesus teaches the disciples about ‘The parable of the sower’ and the ‘purpose of parables’. What we learn is that there are different types of believers.

In this lesson, we hear how Jesus walks on the water, save Peter and calms the storm. Don’t we find ourselves in Peter’s shoes, we believe in Jesus so fervently in our lives but when moments of storms arise and we sink.
