In our first episode since the break, we continue Season 2 with news of the day including the tornado in the south, U.S. COVID deaths reaching 800,000, and in our commentary segment “Sorry I’m on a Tangent”, I rant about my love for the Hulu show Dopesick. This might be the first time my tangent is a positive one, so enjoy that while it lasts.
In today’s episode I discuss almost entirely Facebook, so if you don’t like the app, this episode might not be for you. I talk about the worldwide outage, the Facebook testimony in Congress, and the Amtrak DEA shooting tragically leaving one DEA officer dead, and another critically wounded. In today’s tangent I talk about a lesson I learned last night about not assuming bad intentions in people. Oh boy did I mess up here, listen and find out!
In today’s episode, I begin with what else but Gabby Petito and the sad case of her death. I also discuss unruly passengers in the air and the FAA’s new demand. For today’s tangent, I focus on tipping, how ridiculous the whole concept is that customers basically pay employees’ wages, and employees at restaurants and bars confronting customers over tips. No this isn’t the movie Waiting, it happens in real life too.
In today’s episode, I unfortunately talk about COVID for 95% of the show, even though it’s the last thing I want to talk about. Topics include Pfizer saying it’s vaccine is safe for 5-11 year olds, COVID surpassing the pandemic of 1918 in deaths, and in today’s “Sorry I’m on a Tangent”, I talk about my disgust with ads that make you read.
