This week is spent with the lovely Victoria Jones. Victoria is an Illinois native and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Currently, she works at the University of Memphis Counseling Center as the Outreach Coordinator which includes oversees all of our programming efforts. Victoria’s areas of interest include trauma, grief and loss, identity and self-esteem issues, social justice, suicide prevention, mindfulness, and sports psychology. Her favorite wellness tips are that you cannot pour from an empty cup, make sure to fill yourself up, and that you can’t make everyone happy, you aren’t pizza. Join us as we answer questions that were submitted by students and share our love of self-care with one another!
TW: I talk about thoughts of hurting myself this episode
This week is all about your host Bri James. I take a deep dive into my mental health journey, from diagnosis to doctor's visits, to my hospital stay, and finally how I saw the light at the end of the tunnel! I get real vulnerable with you all this episode and may of even shed a tear or two while recording this one. As always, I am happy to share my journey and help others who may feel like they don't have a voice to advocate for themselves.
