This podcast is for everyone. It's purpose is to bring color and diversity do the everyday lives of regular people by sharing stories and experiences of 1st and 2nd generation immigrants. They have unique perspectives and their brains are wired a bit differently thanks to being exposes to different cultures. Show's hosts Marija and Coua bring it as it is. Marija grew up Ex-Yugoslavia just as it was falling apart. Coua is a 1st generation immigrant. Her parents came to US as refugees in 1980 and she, along her 9 siblings, was born here. This week Marija had a conversation with Meiling Liu. Meiling Liu is a ICF certified Soul Purpose & Spiritual Life Coach and a self taught artist. She moved to the U.S. in 2010 at age 16 from a small seaside town in China called Zhanjiang. Growing up, creativity was undervalued in her family and the school/societal environment.

At age 24, she started to experiment with various art mediums from self-studying online as an outlet for self-expression, and she gradually discovered that art-making can be a precious tool to excavate our true self and a path towards healing and self-liberation.
