When lightning strikes and is effectively bottled, it creates a special kind of magic that can cause the world to take notice. For KingQueen, such is the story behind their protest anthem “Burn This Motha” - out December 9, 2022. The five-piece Los Angeles LGBTQIA+ pop rock group wrote the single together, going on to perform it to thousands of people at San Francisco Pride just days after the US Supreme Court took away the Constitutional Right to Abortion. KingQueen knew they had to record the track, placing it in the hands of producer Kevin McCombs (Papa Roach). Sabrina Petrini is the founding vocalist for the project, with members Adam Gimenez on guitar, Brandon Valerino on keytar, Jake Absher on drums, and Ella G. Burgos on bass. The name KingQueen came from performing alongside drag queens, and while they call each other “queens” the singer said she didn’t feel like a king or queen. One of the drag queens responded, “No, you’re a KingQueen,” and it stuck. “This song feels like an evolution for us,” singer Sabrina says. “It’s very simple, straightforward, raw and honest. No holding back. We love what we do and we genuinely care about people and our community. KingQueen is all about identity and finding a place you can call home. We aren’t a political band but we’re also not going to stay quiet when human rights are being taken away! This is about equal rights, trans rights, and being pro-choice.” When award-winning filmmaker K. Rocco Shields (Love is All You Need?) came on board as a director and producer with her production company Genius Produced, KingQueen knew they really had tapped into something special.

The Uneasy is a collective of like and unlike minded artists creating emotionally charged music that explore some of the darkest experiences of the human condition. Lost, alone, and hopeless, Emily Jean fell into a deep depression that led to a heroin overdose when she was 27. Luckily, she was revived thanks to a heavy
dose of Narcan, but she temporarily lost her hearing. “Not being able to hear was exceptionally more frightening than death for me,” she recalls. “The thought of never being able to hear a song again, let alone play or write one was enough for me to make a change.” This was not the first time she had overdosed, but it would be the last. After she regained her hearing and reflected on the harrowing experience, Emily put all her
time and energy into writing an album about addiction while on the road to herrecovery. “I wanted to say all the words that I wish I had heard as I was going through some of my darkest times.” As the brain, heart, and soul child of singer, songwriter Emily Jean, The Uneasy explores some of the most difficult and uncomfortable themes that deal with the complexities of the human condition. “As our name suggests, we want to address what some may see as uncomfortable, or even painful, because the more transparent we are about our struggles the more connected we become through them.” ‘Slave’ is about the moment of realization,
an awakening of sorts. It is the exact moment you come to terms with the fact that if you don’t change your life dramatically very soon you WILL die. Emily Jean started writing music at age 10, teaching herself how to play drums, guitar, and. piano. Not classically trained, she learned how to play by ear and how to structure songs by listening to and studying her favorite songwriters.

When dating a songwriter, one must expect to be written about- good or bad ;) "Every song is written about someone and for someone. It's the one place I can say the things I was never able to say in person," says Sasha.
Sasha Prendes is a rising songstress whose storytelling + cinematic pop rock moody R&B is coming in hot! She emerged in 2019 and has been gaining attention with her new release "UNDERSTANDABLY” + “Stay (angry)” featuring the talented producers James Oliver III, Hanan Rubinstein, Chrona.
Sasha was born in New Jersey and was raised by her Cuban parents in the great state of Kansas! Raised on disney sing-a-longs, classic salsa, pop, rock, R&B, and even country, Sasha's parents exposed her to all types of music. They realized very quickly Sasha's ability to sing but no one knew of her songwriting skills until later in life. Sasha's influences include Taylor Swift, evanescence, Sara Bareilles, Adele, Eli Sostre and others. By listening to other artists be so open and vulnerable about their experiences, Sasha felt compelled to tell her stories. She writes of unrequited love in "Sail Away", rock bottom in “Losing My Mind”, friends with benefits in "Yellow Sweater", don’t care anymore attitude in “UNDERSTANDABLY", falling in love with "Brooklyn", just to name a few... she always gets the last word.

A natural performer, LiL MC stands out on stages with dynamic delivery and sassy wit. This paired with her freestyle rap skills got her recognized quickly after she started performing in 2010 by competing as one of the only women on the local rap battle scene and going on to become a rap battle champion.
Since then, she's expanded her musical craft from rapping and song-writing to develop her talents in singing and music production, making her one of the 2% of women music producers. Now, she's teaching beat-making to hundreds of students in collaboration with Oakland Based non-profit, Hip Hop for Change. This work and her original Women’s Empowerment Hip Hop curriculum led to her contributing to Facebook's educational initiative, Beats Unlocked, a free program aimed at developing students' computer science skills through coding and beat-making.
LiL MC seeks to not just empower students, but women. She's the founder of Queens of the Underground, a quarterly all-women Hip Hop showcase that gives local artists opportunities to open for and network with more established artists. She also addresses misogyny head-on in her lyrics with bars like "my short skirt is not an invitation for your roofie." That lyric is from her single "OMG" which was selected to be part of the NBA2k21 video game soundtrack and the NBA Top Shot NFT Collection.
She’s shared stages with powerhouse underground female rappers like Sa-roc, Vel the Wonder, and Che Noir, and has opened for Bay Area legends Too Short, E-40, and Zion I. Her latest project “Riding the Pink Cloud” was featured on Billboard Hip Hop and her recent single “Energia Cabrona” has reached over 43k streams on spotify.

In a world dominated by internet sensations and world dominating superstars, Ainsley Costello is determined to create a career that stands the test of time. 18-year-old Ainsley began performing in school talent shows and musical theater when she was 7. By the time she was 14, she was regularly holding down 3-hour sets with a full band of adult professionals. After performing at NAMM and receiving her first endorsement from Breedlove Guitars at 14, she began touring the West Coast full-time while finishing high-school online. At 15 she began taking classes at the prestigious Berklee College of Music while simultaneously finishing her H.S. finals. She is now finishing up her sophomore year at Berklee, studying Music Business, while pursuing music full time. Delicately delivered yet powerfully profound, Ainsley’s heartfelt and personal approach to lyricism translates into an easily digestible and heartwarming listening experience. The Seattle native, now based in Nashville, released a strikingly diverse debut album titled ‘You Know I Am’ when she was just 15. On the surface, it was a collection of country pop songs but dig deeper and you’ll unravel a multitude of diverse musical influences and lyrics that speak to the insecurities of today’s teen girls. Prior to the pandemic, Ainsley had performed over 130 shows in 10 states. In January of 2020, she and her family relocated to Nashville, just as the world and the music industry shut down.

Nubella Honey is a modern Pop Funk artist from North Carolina. She relocated to San Diego during a time of uncertainty and loss. 2020 brought about a lot of things – a lot of good, a lot of bad. Yet the turbulence cultivated a modern sound that fused funk, pop, soul, and rock & roll. Nubella Honey released her first Ep -Gypsy State of Mind- a blues and soul project that reflected her struggles as she dug deep through her trials and tribulations to find her voice. She later released Whine it, an afrobeat single that showcased a different sound and direction from her earlier releases. Within that same year, she began writing and producing her album Sagittarius. As the project began to take form, a unique tone, style, and presence materialized into something unparalleled to her vocal norm. Fast forward to 2021, Nubella Honey released Sagittarius on November 12, which fused her love of pop, funk, and rock & roll.

Nashville-based Americana/indie-pop singer-songwriter Erinn Peet Lukes releases her new EP, EPL, on March 4, 2022. Recorded in Nashville in March 2021 and produced by songwriter/musician Rachel Baiman, the songs were inspired by Lukes’ love of the bluegrass music she’d studied/played in the past, and the pop and rock music she grew up singing. Her former tour manager once said, “You can’t love Earl Scruggs and Taylor Swift at the same time!” Lukes vowed to make music for those who do.

Julia Blair was born of this world as a force to smother the disquieting agents of despair- and as a gentle soul that no-less employs her mighty voice to speak truth to power. Those who know her personally know this, and those who have heard her sing know this as well. On her debut solo album for Crutch of Memory Enterprises, Better Out Than In, Julia proclaims her fondness for self-expression and demonstrates her aptitude for dynamics: from the explosive nature of a pop hook to the firm, comforting grip of a lullaby. She does so at-times anecdotally, while utilizing the marriage of sophisticated arrangements and plain-spoken lyrical language.

If you’re longing for some real music that you can feel in your heart, lyrics that speak to your soul, and a live performance with the power to blow the roof off the sky, you can stop right here. If you’re tired of all the staged choreography, blinding light shows, capes, costumes, lip-synching and auto-tunes that seems to have taken over live performances, you have found a place to rest, refresh, and renew. Welcome to the world of Laura Cheadle.
Along with her Family Band, she has opened for some of the biggest names in the business and won numerous awards, including “Best Indie Jazz/Blues Band” at WXPN sponsored Tri-State Indie Music Awards. She has performed on stages from NYC to London, appeared on 6ABC’s “Tuned In” as the very first viewer’s choice, the “NBC 10” Show, and the National reality show “Next Great Family Band.” Laura was recently featured in Curve Magazine, named one of “100 Women We Love” in Go Magazine, and declared a “Super Woman” in South Jersey Magazine for her active Charity Work.
As Traveler Guitar’s newest Brand Ambassador, her solo career is starting to explode, performing a set at NAMM2020, filming specialized performance and educational video segments for Next Level Guitar’s site, and having recently been honored with the Musician of the Decade award for her body of work and trend-setting style. One of her original compositions was recently included in a popular TV show, and she participated in a Philadelphia Film project with a seamlessly acted feature role in the short film “Ether."

Hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, Emily Ronna spent the first decade of her musical journey convinced she was going to front a punk band. Soon after realizing the marriage of a band didn't suit her, she fled the "altar" for a stab at a solo career in Nashville. Launching the project in the beginning of 2021, Ronna utilized the first four singles as a way of discussing the intersection between her mental health and sexuality. Now, with new single "Scroll,” Ronna rounds out her feelings in a fully packaged EP, uncoincidentally coined “Sex & Depression (S.A.D.)”. “Scroll,” another cleverly coined title, details the hateful/obsessive relationship most people face with social media. Though the phenomenon is common, the level of slightly-too-honest wit is something that can only be found on a Ronna original: “If I post a nip-slip, will I get more engagement?” As Ronna has also discovered, the unfortunate answer is yes. S.A.D. is available everywhere December 3rd.

Between the depth of her voice, substance of her songwriting, and seemingly endless list of awards and achievements, you might be fooled into thinking that Mikalyn has been in the game for decades. But that’s easily forgiven, as despite having yet to hit her 20s, the artist’s signature alt-pop stylings bely her age and blur lines between genres and eras, making her music all the more compelling. She obviously takes great pride in her output, showcasing a skillful approach to arrangement and production with a keen attention to detail. She’s also an in-demand collaborator, having lent her unmistakable vocals to elevate tracks from Machine Drivers, Öwnboss & Zerky, Röde, 39 Kingdom, and others in just 2019 alone. With a one-of-a-kind style and unwavering drive, Mikalyn shows no signs of slowing down on her already-impressive trajectory. Her song Sleepless Nights streamed over 650 k in 4 months of release. In 2021 she will make a bold move away from her EDM success with over 2.7 M streams and into alt pop and indie with a string of strong releases that will leverage and build off her EDM roots.

NYC Vocalist Lizzie Thomas has made a name for herself as a swinging, sultry jazz singer with a beautiful stage presence. Her phrasing is effortless and naturally swings. She captivates her audience by going straight to the heart of the lyric. An entrepreneur at heart, Lizzie released (June ’21) a Jazz Lifestyle brand called the Jazz Diva Collection. Creating candles, loungewear and bags that honor the tradition of Jazz: the music, the cool vibes, and women of Jazz.
Her latest release, New Sounds From the Jazz Age, recorded in a “live” setting, is a uniquely beautiful and provocative new sound on the songbook classics we know and love. The album celebrates Ms. Thomas’ ability to vocalize on racing tempos, effortlessly pivot between styles and key changes, and dig deep into the rich complexities of Ellington, Porter, and Gershwin. It features Russell Malone on guitar, John Colianni on piano, Jay Leonhart on bass, Felix Peikli on clarinet and Bernard Linnette on drums.
Ms Thomas came to jazz when she realized that it is a purely American art form: It’s steeped in tradition and allows for endless innovation. “I can call a tune for the rest of my life, and I will never sing it the same way. That’s freedom,” she says, “that’s provocative - that’s jazz.”
“Lizzie Thomas has a clear but world-wise voice and struts with boldness.” Jazz Weekly

The label "world music" hardly does justice to the radical eclecticism of Leti Garza, who transitions from merengue to folk on the pillar of a powerful and heartfelt voice with a message of social justice. —AL Día News, April 2021
Leti Garza is a Tejana; her music refuses categorization. She draws from her North American roots in Texas Folk, Latin Jazz, and New Age. Her rhythmic music includes the Afro-Caribbean rhythms of Cuba’s son, danzon and boleros; the valses and baladas of Mexico; the trova, cumbia and merengue beats of South and Central America; and Brazil’s bossa nova and samba.
ALBUM BORDERLAND (EXTRA Info)
Border Land is a raw, exquisite global folk album that speaks directly to exigent political issues of our time. It is also a musical map for transcending the social atomization of the contemporary moment to find community and to act collectively. Indeed, Leti’s tender vocals, laced with the pattering footsteps of keys, make for the most clarion and beckoning of guides.

She spent three years touring the USA (and Amsterdam in 2007) in support of her first release, UNINHIBITED 2006 (a mix of POP/Rock and some urban/dance mixes which keeps the listener both interested and entertained), and has been touring the USA and abroad in support of her second album release, BETTER LATE THAN NEVER (which has a balance of fully produced songs, as well as simpler, more acoustic takes). SOUTHERN COMFORT (2013), along with her children's song single: IT TAKES ALL KINDS(2013), were recorded in NASHVILLE with all live studio musicians. And now, the long-awaited new studio album, EVERYTHING IN GOOD TIME, which is both a dedication to her Nana, Mom, and love for the Jersey Shore, but the self-reflective, mostly biographical, adult contemporary album you have all been waiting for. Once again, this was recorded in Nashville, under the direction of Master Engineer Rodney Ingle, at Misstyx Studios, thanks to Darla Perlozi.

“After the Millennials” is an American band made up of 2 sets of twins, Seth, Sarah, Nate, & Naomi Crandall. Their love for music began at a very early age as their home was filled with instruments and music due to their father being a musician himself. Nate’s focus is on percussion, vocal harmonies, and writing. Naomi’s focus is on guitar, vocals, and song writing. The rest of the band is composed of Nate & Naomi's twin brother and sister Seth & Sarah. Seth is currently minoring in piano composition and has influences ranging from classical to punk. Sarah plays the bass guitar and double bass. Her musical interest definitely can be found in the 90's punk movement, but she has always been drawn towards songs that have catchy bass lines and hooks. Their songs portray raw emotional themes that relate to everyone, regardless of their age or background!!

In 2018, she transferred to Southern Methodist University and would eventually graduate in May of 2020 with a degree in journalism and minors in creative writing and performance art. Her love for music, performance and writing became very prevalent at the beginning of the pandemic and during the summer of 2020 Ashleigh began pursuing a career as a musician and songwriter. She recently released her first single, “Synthetic Serotonin,” on all streaming platforms and has plans to continue to write and release new music in the years to come. When Ashleigh is not writing or making music, she is most likely watching true crime documentaries, reading comic books or trying to adopt a cat.

I started releasing music in November of 2019 and have released a multitude of original songs and cover songs since then. One of my biggest projects was my EP “young love”, it came out in early November of 2020. When writing the EP and all of my original songs I try to be relatable and honest. I hope everyone can relate and understand my music in whatever way they choose to interpret it.

The Ashley Bean Band is a rock band hailing from Peoria Illinois.
Over the years, The Ashley Bean Band has had influences that have molded their career into what it is today. Cathy Reynolds, four-time CIA Gospel Artist of the Year, Mike Isenberg of the International acclaimed family band, The Jets, back-up musician, Rusty Hall, and John Coulter, Marshall Tucker’s sound engineer, Journey, and Diana Meltzer founder of Seether, Evanescence, and Creed have help direct this young energized rock band. The Band has also been featured in several magazines such as Stencil Magazine, Skilly Magazine, and Dominate Me Magazine. The Ashley Bean Band appeared on The Real Radio Show with Frankie Dee and RJ which is located in New York.
Ashley was nominated for two music awards in the year 2020 with the largest independent music award show, The Josie Music Awards. These awards include, Best Song of the Year and Best Music Video of the Year. In the year 2020, Ashley signed a major distribution deal with Rock Avenue Records USA. The Band’s music has been compared to Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, as well as Alice In Chains and Nirvana. What a combo of musical innovators without compromise to follow trends, but rather create them.
The Band would say it is Classical meets Rock with a heartfelt and unique style. All of the lyrics and music are Ashley’s original creations. Her voice style and genre is distinct, raw and gives her music an incredible commercial, but almost underground sound at the same timeless, not pretty and pink, but black on black.

A modern troubadour with footprints in both the soul and rock worlds, singer/songwriter Juliet Hawkins brings her message of hope and self-acceptance in her new EP Lead with Love. From the start of her musical journey in Rockport, Mass., on a path that led to working at an orphanage in Peru, stints in Wyoming and California, and finding her true voice in Nashville, Tenn., Hawkins’ commanding vocals evoke a place of self-healing. The fusion of her fiery personality and artistry stirs and inspires the listener. From her rendition of Cage The Elephant’s “Trouble” to the smoky, bedroom pop track “Let You Leave”, Hawkins’ compass points home
“I chose the Cage the Elephant cover because besides being a personal fan of the Nashville band, the message felt relevant given ‘the times’,” Hawkins, who first released the single on July 3, said. “It was the first to be released as well to set a personal and global storyline. The solution to the trouble is love.”
Her recovery after the devastation of a drug addiction doesn’t define Hawkins. Her energy now focuses into music, she’s into plant-based medicinals, and her independent soul has taken her to places near, far and off the beaten path. She’s enlightened her world with surges of adrenaline and centered meditation. Like the lotus blossom tattooed on her body and ingrained in her art, Hawkins’ trek aims not for perfection but for enlightenment. Lead with Love is released on a full harvest moon day.
“I’ve always been influenced by the moon and feel it’s the purest time for setting intentions, manifesting, transcending and rebirth,” Hawkins said.

Like stumbling into a rose garden on a trek through the arctic, listeners of Emily Anderson’s music find themselves helplessly lifted into a world so hauntingly familiar, and yet so enchantingly curious. Anderson’s music is as shaped by this whimsical perspective as it is by her musical credentials. A multi-instrumentalist trained at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Anderson fills her songs with images of nature, hope, and the solar system, not to mention a few puns. Anderson hails from Fairbanks, Alaska, and now splits her time between her hometown and Los Angeles.

Setoria - Singer, Songwriter and Model fell in love with the way music made her feel at the tender age of 6. Born in Florida, Setoria began singing in church and school choirs and also explored the art of theater as she participated in many musical plays. With the attempts to master other instruments such as various percussion, keyboard and the flute, she soon discovered that a pen, pad and microphone were the only tools needed to make her statement.
Raised in the Washington DC area, Setoria continues to make her mark by regularly performing with various bands along the east coast executing energetic and soulful tunes. Her first single, Shorty, released in May of 2014, hit the ground running with international recognition and is also on the soundtrack of the award-winning independent film, Love Him or Leave Him. The movie was awarded Best Original Score at the Philadelphia Independent Film Awards in May 2016.

I am an R&B musician from Toronto, Canada. I've been singing my whole life but only seriously took up music about 6 years ago when my then boyfriend (now husband) bought me my first recording mic. I make music to vibe with fans. A lot of my music touches on mental health, which is something I struggle with, so I hope to reach out to people and make them feel less alone. Even if I could help one or two people, that would make me feel so good. In my spare time when I'm not writing music or studying, I'm listening to music (because it puts me in a mood) or hanging out with my husband and giant dog. Music really is at the core of me though, and I want to share that with the world.
