Nikk Needs to Know: Recent Episodes

Nikkita McNamara

At Nikk Needs to Know we are curious by nature. To put it simply, we just need to know EVERYTHING. In this podcast we will be examining new products, concepts, trends and more. We will explore through discussions and interviews, how knowledge and what we are exposed to, expand our individual perspectives. Basically how we become who we are and evolve through learning. In the words of Miley Cyrus "it's the climb". Life is a journey and we want to share our map, but for full transparency we sometimes get lost 🗺

If you listened to our Nikks Picks & Jules Gems, you would of heard us discussing the concept of the hedgehog. The Hedgehog concept was developed by Jim Collins, who has studied and worked with many companies on finding success. Jim believes we should all take the time to answer three important questions. In the middle where all 3 of these questions overlap, is where you will find your hedgehog. This hedgehog is your purpose and where you should spend the bulk of your time and energy. If followed correctly, your hedgehog should lead you towards meaningful, long-term success. Today Jules and I do the background work to discover our hedgehogs and share with you how we are testing this concept in real time.

In this episode we are celebrating International Women's Day. We invited 3 women of different backgrounds to join our panel to discuss the human experience of being a woman. These types of conversations are always fun to have because we always seem to learn, that we actually share more similarities, than differences. Even though our struggles are not always the same, a lot of them stem from the same systematic beliefs. As women, a lot of pressure gets put on us and we even put a lot of pressure on ourselves. In this episode we explore where this pressure comes from and what we believe needs to be done to change this cycle. Remember we are Stronger Together.
