The supreme importance of the Gospel message requires a preserving endurance that can only be sustained by the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. To become strong in our faith of God, we must become weak in the faith of ourselves. Paul encourages Timothy to endure faithfully, and to help others do the same.

Our definition of peace has to go beyond the absence of conflict and lean more into the presence of God while in the conflict. It is in light of this that the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit goes beyond a theological positioning into an experiential reality.
